What I don't understand is why everyone always complains about people calling gold butter, I mean, if it bothers you, ignore it.

Time is on our side, yes it is!
Same here but I don't think it is a big deal because they are a bunch of 12 year old kids...
My son (7 years old) and I both play Minecraft. I had never heard it called butter until he came home talking about it, to complain about how stupid it was that butter became a thing. He keeps trying to start Minecraft clubs with his friends where they ban the use of the word butter, but they all troll him and wait until they join the club before constantly saying butter again.

He gets so pissed.

And is very annoying  when 12 year old kids starts saying it every sentence like:
*YO DAWGG WANNA GO MINE SUM BUDDER AND MAKE SOME BUDDHA PANTSS???!! XD #yolo swag
*WANNA HELP ME BUILD A MOTHA FLIPPING BUDDA HOUSE AND LIVE TOGHETIR IN IT???!?!?! NO HOMO BUDDA DUDEEE XD XD XD

Ha ha that is to funny.  I think you copy and pasted the quote lol.  I can totally imagine that conversations taking place.  Reminds of the things I hear when I play video games but it is very amusing see it in text.

I never heard of this. But I don't have any problem with it. Gold is gold. I like keep things simple. If someone wants to make funny names it is  up to him. I will not follow.

I too find it extremely annoying. It's Sky's thing. You don't have to copy him. I'm fine with you saying it as a joke (for example, I once played on a park our course made of gold blocks, and I complained that the butter was too slippery), but they don't have to say it every second. All the time. For everything.

I say it when speaking of special gold like when I have a lot of gold blocks I will say "look at all that butter" or when I make a full set of armor and tools I might say "check out the butter". The point I am trying to get to is that I am wondering if this is considered acceptable

Cheddar and butter. All you need now are some potatoes.

Or bread. I love just butter and cheese sandwhiches. Jacket potats are great too though.
