What kind of silly ass question is this?

Bitcoin only exists online. If not for online payments, there would be no need for bitcoin. this is so many 1s and 0s. with no real world utility besides being a payment medium. what good is bitcoin for anything else other than online shopping?

and im purposefully conflating selling bitcoin wfor fiat with online shopping. but if you look at it, is ther really a difference if the fiat is spent on the same products? this is coming from a guy that lives on crypto, and hasnt had significant fiat in a few years Wink

bitcoin. pretty fucking cool. but not a complete solution for a cashless society Wink

bitcoin is not only exists online but also it can be used now offline , most countries these days are already legalizing it as payment substitute to fiats.

yeah bitcoin is pretty cool and soon it will replace the fiat and we will become a cashless society.

Its still impossible that we could have a cashless society.Fiat must be still in because its the basis of crypto currency. How can we make profit if fiat will be gone? So it's still impossible without fiat. And yes bitcoin is really working for online shopping and it's happening right now.

Now Amazon, Ebay online shopping have started  accept bitcoin without deliver items. And it's not sure they will give you your money back or not.
As bitcoin is a online currency so online shopping site should accept it without delay.Hope in future it would be easy to shopping with bitcoin.

Bitcoin was designed to make transactions irreversible. It has many advantages but for some people it's the main reason why they don't want to switch to Bitcoin. There are few companies which accept Bitcoin from you and pay with fiat to merchant. So far, I have only used bitpay.com. It's quite convenient and works without any problem. However, I try not to spend my BTC.

When you buy something on eBay or Amazon, you pay the seller, he ships the product and upload a tracking number.
If you haven't received the item, you can call eBay or Amazon and, basically, what happens is that if they have a tracking number that shows that the item has been delivered, then it is ok, otherwise eBay or Amazon reverses the transaction and you get your money back.
Is that possible with bitcoin? What if I buy a boat online for 2 bitcoins and I never receive it? Is bitcoin able to solve this problem?

Thanks
It is pretty much hard to get back the money.
But there is new blockchain e commerce site called Stuffgogo who has just finished the ICO and working on their products.
I think blockchain e commerce site is on the rising and we will get very good service from them.

Bitcoin is termed to be online money in several articles due to the virtual usability without a physical state. Even now majority of the bitcoin usage is on online stores. Around the globe very few limited number of physical stores operate accepting bitcoin. This will increase as shopping Giants are with plans of accepting bitcoin as payment.

If you buy something from an individual seller using bitcoin, i am not sure you get your money back because if individuals scam you, you can't complaint due to anonymity of cryptocurrency.
However if you shop from a website like ebay, amazon using bitcoin and never receive your product, you can raise a complaint against company by showing them purchase id.
A trusted company never cheats with their client.

You can do online shop at Amazon and eBay through Bitcoin
When you pay them in Bitcoin they are like middleman they hold the Bitcoin till the product is not delivered to you.
This system is know as escrow or middleman system. And I hope that the future banks and online and even the will not have any problem with crypto currency.

Yes bitcoin will surely can adopt the online shopping market and you should not worry about that kind of transaction because if ever you don't receive the item I'm sure they will give back your payment but i think this system must first use by those well known site like amazon because as we all know there are lots of illegal site offering on-line shopping but will only take your money without the item.

If you make direct transactions with FIAT currency or Bitcoin, your chance to be cheated is the same.
As an example :
- You send $ 2000 to Albert for a car, but Albert runs away with your money and never sent a car to you.
- You send 1 Bitcoin to Rony for a car, unfortunately Rony just like Albert, he runs away with your bitcoin.

So in this case a third party (like Bitpay, maybe) will be able to guarantee that you will not lose money for nothing.

Well, if the transaction has been made, we all know that it will not be undone anymore unlike bank payments or other forms of fiat payments. But if you are dealing with a legitimate seller and you have not come into an agreement that would be beneficial to the two of you, then perhaps you will decide together that he will return your bitcoins. The point here is that you should be careful of the wallet and the owner of the wallet. Because there is no such thing as second chance once a mistake has been committed.

It's not possible if you use bitcoin directly peer to peer but there are payment processors such as BitPay that will help protect against this.

https://bitpay.com/

Basically they're just like Paypal for bitcoin.

alright, using paypal for bitcoin. i think paypal is the payment for bitcoin. if you have a paypal you can do everything with your bitcoin.
