What kind of silly ass question is this?

Bitcoin only exists online. If not for online payments, there would be no need for bitcoin. this is so many 1s and 0s. with no real world utility besides being a payment medium. what good is bitcoin for anything else other than online shopping?

and im purposefully conflating selling bitcoin wfor fiat with online shopping. but if you look at it, is ther really a difference if the fiat is spent on the same products? this is coming from a guy that lives on crypto, and hasnt had significant fiat in a few years Wink

bitcoin. pretty fucking cool. but not a complete solution for a cashless society Wink

The answer is yes bitcoin is now a days used for each and every thing in life. As we know that it is very famous that’s why big shopping centers in the Asia and Europe are accepting bitcoin for shopping and because of that they reserve good amount of bitcoin. In the future the owners of these shopping centers are good traders of this currency.
As far as I know bitcoi  can already be used for online shoppings. Because there online shops across some countries that are now accepting bitcoin as a payment for such shoppings. We can all look forward that more and mote shops will accept bitcoin. That not only for clothes. But as well as every single thing.

Nope not possible once the transaction is made in bitcoin that would completely be irreversible when it comes to peer to peer transactions or if amazon or ebay has a system that will pay you yor money if the item hasn't been delivered it will benefit both. You also use other payment processor to act an escrow before giving it to the seller when the item has not yet been delivered.

it is supposed to be work like that, a peer-to-peer online payment system and this is how Mr. Nakamoto envisioned about bitcoin to be accepted widely for e-commerce.but here is the catch, it can't accomodate as fast as visa transactions that's why it was not fully adopted.as for the mean time there are a lot of third party payment system that process your bitcoin to pay for online shop but it is quite inconvenient for both parties.

Bitcoin works for online shopping, instead od using reverse transactions with bitcoins you should use escrow. Seller will not receive your bitcoins until you confirm that you received what you bought.
People try to present bitcoin in bad light, but all the bad things that happen comes from other currencies. Someone already used same scam and now they are doing the same with crypto currencies. Check with whom you making the deal, use escrow, if you had good experience wrote something nice about that person for their reputation, same case if it's something bad. People should know with who they need to deal with.

If bitcoin is being used for payment it is not reversable, once it's sent there is no way to get it back unless the receiver is honest and wishes to send it back to you.

In some countries, bitcoin can be used in online shopping or any online transactions for that matter. Though not all countries have this kind of privilege but i am hoping it will soon spread and more and more countries get to accept bitcoin.

When you buy something on eBay or Amazon, you pay the seller, he ships the product and upload a tracking number.
If you haven't received the item, you can call eBay or Amazon and, basically, what happens is that if they have a tracking number that shows that the item has been delivered, then it is ok, otherwise eBay or Amazon reverses the transaction and you get your money back.
Is that possible with bitcoin? What if I buy a boat online for 2 bitcoins and I never receive it? Is bitcoin able to solve this problem?

Thanks

Depends on the transaction and the dealer or online shopping website where you buy the boat. The rules and regulations of some online shopping website who accepts bitcoin as payment are the same with ebay andd amazon. They can send you back your bitcoin if you did not recieved the item you bought. Really depends on the type of the transaction.

For now it works for only few online shopping. People are Stoll skeptical about using it but as the word about bitcoin spreads, more people will learn to appreciate and use it.

Bitcoin do work for online shopping. A lot of online shopping websites uses bitcoin as payment but it can be a scam. We buyers should be aware and careful for us to be safe. But for me, I think it is better to buy things with cash not on online shopping websites because it is safer.

I guess its yes, bitcoin work for online shopping. I read here in forum says that bitcoin were now used in online transactions like shopping, or even gambling, drugs. So I think maybe it can be true because bitcoin were only operated in online world, we could only interfere in bitcoin by internet connections. So does bitcoin work for online shopping? My answer is yes and it is already used today.

As of now, the feature is not available to pay using Bitcoins for the goods or services purchased online through most of the leading e-commerce websites. However, there are some dedicated Bitcoin invoice management companies which allow merchants to not only accept the payment in Bitcoin but also to manage the invoice for the cryptocurrency transactions and this solution is really working on the online merchants who are using it. It will not take more than 5 years for the huge players like Amazon, eBay etc to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment option on their platforms.

You can shop at Overstock with Bitcoin.  They're a reputable retailer.

They're also having an ICO where they expect to raise $500 million:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/overstock-goes-for-largest-ico-ever-at-500-million-2324406

True! My cousin also tried this overstocked and it worked well, we also have in our locality a third party bitcoin wallet where they offer also online shopping using bitcoin as payment.. I suggest the OP to try to search also on your localities because you might have one in there! Smiley

I see some online shop accept bitcoin for payment but I think is not worth using bitcoin for transaction if buy with small amount

Agreed. Transaction fees will make Bitcoin not suitable to buy small items. I think shops could offer a discount if people pay with Bitcoin, in order to cover high transaction fees...
Actually this could be a good way and strategy for online shops. I see most of the online stores selling stuffs which some are cheap while some are expensive but you'll get a free delivery once you spend a certain amount so it would be a good idea to partner it with bitcoin. You can save some bitcoin fees and you'll get a free delivery services if you spend a high amount things on that certain store. So most of the people on that store will only spend high value things to get the free delivery and a worth it fee.
