Most of the bounties campaign give money to its users as a result of their good job but some of them are not ready to allow money to its users as a prizes. I was previously a part of many bounties Compaign and I earned good sum of money from these bounties but I am in opinion that as people are expecting that every bounty created by any manager will pay them so they have wrong concept.
Join bounties but remember that before joining visualize about the creators and if the person is not trustable then he will not pay you otherwise every other bounties with good reward are acceptable by everyone. Those who offers tokens so the reward will depends on listing on exchange but those bounties which offer USDT will have limited amount of money which you can easily select and join.

A couple of years ago it was a great time to do bounties, the pay was higher and there were more good campaigns arounds. Nowadays, you don't find a lot of good bounties anymore and if he get lucky to be paid, most of the time the coins you receive are useless as they will never be traded on (big) exchanges. I don't think it is worth spending time in doing bounties anymore.
Back in 2017 even Jr Members and Members could earn a good amount from bounties. I participated in a few gambling related bounties myself. After the ICO hype died down there wasn’t as many good bounties available. There is also better methods of distribution for new projects nowadays. Instead of giving away tokens to spammy, low rank forum users and their 10 alt accounts they can partner with DEXs to offer high APYs for providing liquidity and staking on their platform.
Sometimes I find myself being added to Telegram groups where they are doing bounty campaigns for new coins but at the end of the day, people will start complaining that the project is dead. In most cases I exited from the groups immediately I find myself there because I feel they are prone to defrauding people.
This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.
I can't really say that they don't pay totally, maybe you should look out for the bounty manager and sort fit his prior campaign history before shilling heaven and earth for nothing at the end of the day.This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.
Their are bounty managers that once you see them managing a particular project, you just know that they will pay. But the take you be that once you're accepted into a particular bounty, just follow them up in that first week as they are most likely to pay and if they don't pay after then, you know that you've at least gained from them.

But most of the projects probably die due to which people don't invest in all these projects, and they become scams. There was an era when bounty used to pay very well. But now with all this scam and fraud projects it is really hard to tell which project will become a success and in the end actually pay the bounty hunters. There are also some project that even after a successful run, they refuse to pay the bounty hunters. Those projects that are here to scam people, I have nothing to say about them. They are trash. But few which can make it through the journey and become successful actually pays the bounty hunters. I used to do a lot of bounties in the past but now it's like 99.9% are scams. So for that reason I actually don't do any bounty. If you really want to make some income through bounty hunting, he should choose those that are escrow project. Or The project that pays with stable coin or Bitcoin.
It is hard to tell which one is legit and which one is a scam. And it doesn't take that much time to do the work. So keep on walking if you are short in money or want to make some money out of bounties. It's a gamble that you have to play.
This the same question was asked by me to a friend in my locality. But one thing which I will never do is to follow bounty hunters, and airdrop in telegram. Telegram is a Media of fraudsters so you have to avoid it with maximum way. Because in that place the saying comes to place "If you can't beat them you join them". And to avoid that when you see such things there either you don't follow them or you ignore them.
But according to a guy that was doing those bounty hunting stuff. He said it pays if you see the original ones but to see the legit one is the problem. I thank God that you left the group because they would have used another method to lure you. And most of the people that saying it pays in such group are part of the the scammers group.

Strongly agree what they said above as we all know that there are many bounty program will end as a scam program but anyway there's still a good bounty that can paid you in the end of the day. But do a research about that program and look the manager if it is trusted enough and also once here's and escrow then a high percentage of winning will be yours but if don't have and the manager is not trusted and recognized then there as mall percentage of being paid.
How you can get good rewards from every project for free where you don't get guaranteed profit from investment. Those projects that actually come to the market to do a real business and run Bounty on this forum and the project team is honest enough they definitely distribute rewards. Yeah they depend on bounty hunters to pay there are some good bounties who pay well and some bounties are scams after completing the job. Many projects pay in escrow but the coins have no market value. It is very difficult to earn money from the current bounties if there are no good bounties many have become worthless.

Odo for me I haven't done bounty before, but I have couples of friend who involved in bounty and they have been making a lot of money from it. I haven't heard any complaint about it, the only thing I had was that the money doesn't come at the appropriate time but definitely will show up. they make a lot of money from it whenever the money comes. the work is a work of patience, you have to be determine to stay patients before you receive your payment. sometimes after they do whatever thing they do, The coin falls down and become worthless because I heard after the Bounty, they pay you in Coin and some of these coins doesn't really have much value after when it's been launched. While some will pump. This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.
Most of bounty don't pay. Even i saw many successful project but refuse to pay bounty hunters who worked hard for promotion that project. The reality is, almost all project ceo don't want to payment you. Just want free promotion from bounty hunters and want investors money so that they can rich. They don't care others. Even most project can't afford listing, they disappear by taking investor money and this circle is continue. But some bounty pays hunters and thats why hunters join bounty.

Many scammers create fake projects, impersonating legitimate ones, promising participants attractive rewards in exchange for work or investment. Currently, it is unfortunate to hear that many bounty campaigns are not fulfilling their promises and not delivering the promised rewards to the bounty hunters. 
Bounties were good and profitable, some years ago but now most of project team sale their token and scam people even they get succesful and then launch new project with bounties again. But reputed bounty manager always try to have escrow for safety of bounty hunters but fhe fact is, if team give tokens to hunters but don't add on any exchange, then as a result, doing work for bounties is useless. I agree with what you said that bounties were profitable a few years ago, but nowadays most of them do not provide the expected results, but that is the reality that must be faced at this time. It is very happy if there is a payment from the bounty, even though the payment is currently determined in US dollars, not by giving published tokens, At least hope that if the token is successful bounty hunter will get a surprise because the token can have more value.

The market isn't favoring many projects and those project getting affected are those that aren't very popular. Investors aren't investing in anyhow project because they're scared that the tokens will not survive the bear market. They're only investing in top projects for now because those project can't scam them. When this low volume altcoins will do very well will be when we'll have the altcoins bull market.
But the altcoins season is not happening next year because bitcoin first have to have it's bull market before altcoins can benefits from the market. Bounty are low volume project so they're not getting trading volume or getting listed on top exchanges that's why it looks like you're wasting your time promoting bounties. The strategy that you can use to get money from bounties is to promote as many as you can.
Then you have to hold the tokens until we get into altcoins season then wait on them to get some hype and you sell your tokens. You can't make money from bounties in bear market because people aren't investing during this periods instead they're selling. When the market is dumping investors aren't interested in new projects so you're tokens won't have those interested in buying them.

Getting money from bounty campaigns is very lucky. I haven't got much money from bounty campaigns but I have seen almost most people earn good amount from bounty campaigns. I have no idea whether bounty campaigns can earn money now or not. But I think I want to use this time for something else instead of wasting time behind bounty campaigns. I hope it will bring something good for me if I do something else instead of wasting time behind bounty campaigns.
