I have been away from bounties for quite some time. I lost interest because they either not pay or if they pay, the tokens would remain unlisted on exchanges, if listed the price is usually plunging to almost zero, and there's not even a volume at all, meaning there's no buyer. There's no interest in the token usually because the project itself is not moving at all. There's no development, nothing whatsoever. The token will eventually delisted from exchanges and die. That means all your efforts will also die uncompensated.

Sometimes I find myself being added to Telegram groups where they are doing bounty campaigns for new coins but at the end of the day, people will start complaining that the project is dead. In most cases I exited from the groups immediately I find myself there because I feel they are prone to defrauding people.
This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.
If you find a right one, it pays. I've even made some money with telegram bounty. But that was because i was paying attention to the rules and won the first price Tongue.
Usually telegram bounties will get flooded by bots and are not worth it.

Just try to either find something that isn't already flooded with participants or the ones that pay fixed money with estabishled cryptocurrencies like btc, eth or bnb.
But it can be more work to find one then to actually invest in cryptocurrencies and make money that way. And in that way you don't have to deal with tokens you don't trust.

Telegram is such a common medium for scammers to use and this is me not just talking about these bounties that are not paying, but also those scam in the site that I am freelancing though I had used it in some legitimate purposes.

Bounties are like hit or miss if you have not made any research to it and it's not even worth pursuing them anymore unlike the good old days since the tokens that are going to be distributed are either low value or just have now value at all. Would prefer earning dusts with values rather than worthless tokens.

It is a good thing that you kept yourself away from those groups because as you have noticed the majority of those projects never succeed, so even if they got paid those coins have no value as no one is interested in buying dead coins, now there are like always a few exceptions which do pay their bounty hunters with coins that have value, but this is so rare now that we may as well not take them into account if you are really thinking on becoming a bounty hunter.

i guess the era of bounty programs are already over. very rare that you will encounter a successful project that will pay their bounty hunters on time and with the agreed token/coin price. but there are some users who are still joining these bounties hoping that they will get paid. but most of the time they are just wasting their time. better look for btc-paying campaign even if they are not paying much. at least you have an assurance that you will get paid and also the CMs are trustworthy for this kind of campaign.

If that is the case, then maybe bounty hunting is dead already, or at least 90% of them are not going to pay.

And we are no longer in 2017, wherein every bounty, airdrop are very profitable, the market turns into worst, projects are paying cheap dirt for bounty hunters and some are blatantly scamming bounty hunters.

So if I'm in your case, I will completely stir away from bounties this 2023.

It's true as you said there are lots of bounty campaigns for new coins. But not all of them don't pay, don't pay, most are scams or don't have successful projects, some are paid. I think it comes back to you. Before joining the bounty campaign, you have to be very careful in choosing campaigns and bounty managers who have a good reputation so you don't waste your time.

If a user is arbitrarily added to telegram groups or other social networks to perform certain actions, promising to pay in cryptocurrency in the future, this is almost one hundred percent fraud. It's not often that bounty hunters get paid by new companies, even on this forum. Bounty campaigns previously started as signature campaigns, there were almost no other campaigns. Now the situation with bounty campaigns has become very difficult, and there is no need to talk about the amount of remuneration, they have fallen so much. But sometimes you can still get a good profit by participating in them. But this happens very rarely.

That's some good strategy to stay off the radar of bounty scammers and shit projects.

I say bounty scammers because, some scammers max themselves with the idea of a new project and offer investment packages to both suspect and unsuspected victims whom the ignorant once eventually invests and gets scammed of there hard earned money.

In the other case of shit projects, majority of these projects often turns out to be pump and dump. If it is tht they pay, of course most of them do but, it never matters regardless as your often given tokens that have got zero worth. In essence, you've been paid but, you just can't use it. So not the effort.

Bounties nowadays are far different from the bounties that we had a few years ago. Scammers are now using bounties to scam people where they will add you to their telegram group and will ask you to perform different tasks with the promise of getting paid yet you will still end up being blocked on their dead channel. It's rare to find legit bounties these days so you really have to research so you will not get scammed.

There are definitely good bounties out there that are still paying their participants regularly. I am part of one of those bounties for around a year or so now and there was not one payment missed so far. If you want to join a bounty campaign of a new altcoin project though, then there definitely is a pretty big risk of not getting paid and/or that the tokens that you will receive at the end of the bounty are worth absolutely nothing.
So in order to make some money with a bounty you need to do your research before. Don't just join the bounty that is offering the highest reward, because that is usually a bad sign. If they are paying 500k$ worth of tokens to bounty participants, then you can be pretty sure, that the token will get dumped to zero.

If you want to get paid from a bounty then look for one who escrows with a reputable manager but that also doesn't guarantee valuable value because the average value of bounty tokens is always low not even in comparison to what they've been working on for a few weeks.
Don't rely too much on bounties for income, basically they are the ones who have projects that take advantage of participants to spread shitcoin projects which in the end become scams, I'm not saying this all but the average bounty is that no one survives in the market to maintain the value of the token .

Look in this bounty section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0. All bounty campaigns on this forum are published here. Some pay participants, some not so much, others - tokens will not cost anything. Here is how lucky and how you choose a campaign manager. Usually, old and trusted managers get all the rewards, because they value their reputation and cooperate only with reliable projects. Even with a newbie account, you can earn something, for example, in a twitter or facebook campaign. In general, there are opportunities, but you should not count on getting rich on this, but evaluate it as a way of a small additional income.

A bounty campaign taken up by a reputed member has more chances of being legit than that is taken up by some less known manager. Remember that you are trusting the manager's experience here to select a worthy project and weed out the bad ones. But in general a bounty campaign is not bound by any laws to pay its participants, they can cite a hundred reasons why they might decide to not pay and you cannot do anything about it but swallow it.

I would suggest you to change your telegram privacy settings so you are not added to random groups like that.

If you ask whether the bounty campaign is paid, the answer is that some are paid, some are not paid. Therefore, before you decide to join the bounty campaign, you must first do an independent reset, you must also look for a bounty manager who already has a good history of managing bounties. Don't just join the bounty campaign without resetting it, it will waste your time.

Does bounty really pay? Yes,

Does every bounty really pay? No.

You need to find good bounty by researching. Even in this forum there are lot of bounty are posting but the end of the time only pay for work is 2-3.

You can get paid by anyone with a coin. It depends if that coin has value. Imagine some unknown coin that's not listed anywhere, but you did the bounty. They paid you. But does it have value to you? That's where you will draw the line for yourself, whether you accept it. Sometimes it's better to join with escrows and make sure that there are funds to be sent to you.

Be careful of scam projects.

But those who run bounty campaigns on Bitcoin forums work very hard. But at the end of the day they are deprived of their due payment. Because Maximum Bounty Campaign Managers do not pay their Bounty Campaigns. As a result many went to various Telegram groups and presented their complaints. But because the market is a little bad, the bounce campaigns are refraining from paying higher rates.  There are many bounty campaign users who complain that even after paying some amount from the bounty campaign, they cannot be sold and most of the tokens are not available in the market which is really a problem for every bounty hunter.
