insecurity and anxiety take control of their life. Have you ever thought about this ? Please share your thoughts.

I understand this topic to be security of life and property. I think money doesn't really protect the rich because they become target to armed robbery, gun men or kidnappers who run after them for attack. Although they can use their money to acquire some measure of security for themselves but they live in apprehension and subsceptible to high blood pressure because they keep thinking of how to secure themselves and families. They can afford to fly but they won't live perpetually on the plane unlike ordinary people who move around freely.

Absolutely, up until a point of diminishing returns when you become so wealthy you become a target who needs more and more security.

Yes, how can you think money can't bring security?

If you're rich, you can buy a small house where the appearance looks poor and bad, then you can have a renovation inside your home, don't any renovation outside your home to make people think you're poor.

Don't buy super car or big bike, instead buy second hand car or cheap bike.

Buy everything to prevent from thief e.g. CCTV, anti thief alarm, etc.

Wear a cheap clothes and pants, use cheap phone outside your home.

Now what if you're poor? you can't even buy foods and buy anything to boost your productivity, also you're working from 7AM to 5PM which is you're wouldn't enjoying your life.

I totally get what you're saying about money not necessarily bringing security. Sure, having a little extra cash in the bank can definitely provide some peace of mind and make certain things in life easier. But at the end of the day, true security comes from within. It's about feeling confident in yourself and your abilities under unpleasant conditions, having a strong support system, and finding joy and purpose in life. Money can definitely help with some of that, but it's not the be-all and end-all. Just my two cents...
Money is a basic need that everyone does everything they can to get it. Moreover, it was now in a situation like this that required everyone to be greedy. Yes, I have to say that because what I see around me is that people become "monsters" because of money. They no longer care about what they do, the most important thing is that they can have what they want, in this case, money.
"Maintaining his social status in society" is usually a wealthy person like that who is uncontrollable with his fears and anxieties.

Well, it is a fact that money buys a lot of things that we both need and want. Nobody can deny material possessions give us comfort and joy in most times. However, it is really a question whether money brings you a feeling of security. In my experience, a lot of rich people are living in anxiety and fear. Before they got rich, all efforts and endeavours were taken most of their life and time but after they reached where they are now, insecurity and anxiety take control of their life. Have you ever thought about this ? Please share your thoughts.
I have not yet reached that level of wealth to live in anxiety and fear, therefore, I can only reason hypothetically. Smiley

I believe that money can be used to gain security. For example, to buy an apartment in a calm and safe area, not in a ghetto. If you have enough money, you can move to a country with a high standard of living, where you don't have to worry about your safety and the safety of your savings. It seems to me that OP exaggerates the possible fears of rich people. The rich can organize their lives in such a way that any anxieties and fears will be excluded.

It is difficult to objectively evaluate those situations that you have never experienced. That's when you become rich, I would like to hear the answer to whether money brings you a sense of security.

The most insecure people on earth are those that do not have money, the more the money someone is having the more the sense of security. Rich people have more opportunities to avoid the common bad happenings in life that do occur to insecure people and also have the money that will provide them the security they need in life. Even if someone is not having money, they do accept that they are not secure enough compared to rich people.
Who said that people who are insecure on earth are poor people who have no money. Depends on what point of view you look at it. is it just because with your money you can build huge towering fortresses and build bunkers so feel the safest?

For some reason talking about the social and financial status of the rich as if we are avoiding "reality" and aligning ourselves with economically stable people. In fact, the lives of the rich are far more at risk because there will be a source or center of attention. This also applies to poor people whose lives are uncertain, who die from hunger, live in places full of threats, and are often seen as victims of injustice.

if you are born rich and then mis-manage money. it can bring anxiety

if you are born poor and then manage money. it can bring security

i was more of the second scenario. and i am more relaxed, i have no anxieties anymore.

most of my 'wealth' is in crypto and i have enough to no longer even care about the whims of the daily price movements. im secure, bills get paid and i get to travel without having to check my balance.

if you reach a point where you have more funds than expenses, where you no longer need to count pennies or look for ways to accumulate more for necessity/survival. then you have security

Remember that some of the rich people started from the bottom. They definitely had to hustle and to grind in order to sustain their living or at least to meet their monthly obligations. Personally, majority of those rich people who feel fear and anxiety are the ones who are most likely to succeed and maintain their status quo in the society.

Money will definitely give you the sense of security since almost everything revolves around it. If you have a handful amount of resources, then you have access to every possible avenue of healthcare, housing, education, food, etc. that will make your life relatively comfortable.

For practicality speaking? Yes money bring comfort especially now life is so hard due to crisis where inflation rise up and the prices of basic goods are so high. Some people they are okay without money but in reality its really hard, imagine how they can survive everyday if they are they are living a hard life.

Anxiety or insecurity maybe for somethings they didn't own especially if they cannot use their wealth with it, but rich people can cope up with it as they can use their money to entertain their selves and the only thing they need is to sustain their income flow to live a life where they are so comfortable on.

Of course it brings security. Security that you won't have to think about tomorrow and you need to hustle for you to have something to eat.

Although money gives a certain level of security, nothing is truly guaranteed in this life. Money doesn’t bring total security as it actually doesn’t guarantee anything.

Asides all that, someone with all the money in the world could come down with a terminal disease and would slowly and gradually die.
Or someone with all the billions could drop dead in an instant. How’s that for security?

I personally think that nothing is guaranteed in this life as we could at any time die and leave this earth. I think that alone should erase any sense of security there is in things like fiat and other valuables.

Anxiety and fear are two different things. I can say that anxiety can be way worse than fear, because it's a condition that is pretty much genetically determined.
What is most important in life is to not get attached too much to material possessions. The existential suffering is caused by the desire for various things-money, power, even women. Controlling your desires will help you take control over your anxiety.
Money brings a false sense of security, but nobody is safe from accidents and nobody knows how and when death will come our way.
You can be poor and feel secure, while there are rich people, who will always feel insecure. My point is that our state of mind has little to do with our financial situation.

I think it depends on the amount of money. I agree that rich people have to worry about being a target, about potential safety risks to them and to their loved ones because of their money. But they can normally also afford good security. If you are poor, though, it doesn't mean you're safe, especially if you live in a country where the rich and the poor live in different districts, because in that case there's more crime in poor areas, and you can be in danger even if you are poor. So I'm not sure, actually, that having money means you're more likely to experience a robbery or safety risks.

With possession of anything, there comes a fear of losing it. More wealth, more fear.

However, it is really a question whether money brings you a feeling of security.

Of course it gives security, it's good to have house to sleep. It's good to live in peaceful locality. It's good to not worry about food. It's good to have needs met.

In my experience, a lot of rich people are living in anxiety and fear.
In my experience every poor person lives in anxiety of where the next meal would come from, or where to rest their head for the night.
Life has its anxieties and different circumstances can impact that relatively.
• Fame could make one more insecure about themselves,
• Money could make one a target for robberies and attacks (reason it's always said to not reveal that you own Bitcoin, cause it's suggested to be valuable by most),

This makes it all relative, but the reality is, with more money, you can afford to live in a now secure environment, drive more secure vehicles and possible afford a security detail to protect you and your family. All these makes one safer.

If a person tells you that it doesn't give any upperhand then take his money and let him be problematic about tomorrow. At least for those rich people, they've been through having riches and they're having just sort of another problem that also exists in people who are struggling to make ends meet.

While those that are struggling, they have to deal with being problematic about money and as well as those other existing problems one may face.

Now, while it's not a bad thing to want more or try to work hard to live at least a comfortable and luxurious life, its also known that humans can be insatiable. Money sure brings security and it's needed to settle some issue of life, it brings us joy and comfort, but they also bring the feeling of dread and anxiety as well. One just has to be content.

Talking about human satisfaction seems to have no limit because humans will look for new things to be satisfied,
money is like a double-edged sword and that's how it really is,
obviously it all depends on who manages it

Have you heard the saying money don't buy you happiness then there's also a saying that before you join people in saying that, you should get the money first. This should also applied here, this means before you begin worrying about insecurities you should get the money first. Don't because of this stay poor as it's far better been a rich guy worrying about insecurity than a poor guy. Atleast when you're rich you can do something about the insecurity by securing yourself.

Don't also forget that you can be rich and not loud, the loud ones are mostly the target of this insecurities. You could leave a quiet life and enjoy all your richest why not worrying about getting attack. For example, with Bitcoin you could own millions of dollars and yet nobody knows about it. You can then leave a comfortable life and enjoy your wealth.

I think it is a relative matter that differs from one person to another. Some people are only looking for money that suffices their personal and family needs and are not looking for luxury. People like this can Money bring them security and peace in their lives.

On the other hand, there is a type of gluttonous person who is looking for more and more money and is never satisfied, and they sometimes break the laws and get into many problems and illegal things just in order to increase their wealth, of course such people, money will not bring them safety but rather they will be in anxiety And constant fear.
