This forum is the oldest forum for bitcoin and cryptocurrency , so It is very important for any coin and ICO to be introduced in this place , another thing is almost 99% of people in here knows what bitcoin is , where else you can find such percentages? twitter ?I don't think so!
So signature campaign helps to some coins or some ICOs to get more attractions especially if you can wear the avatar .

Yes, many companies are giving free coins because they know how potential it is going to be if they start to promote in a different way like Signature Campaign, through this community can easily get the awareness about the ICO because there are many people using the Bitcointalk for learning many new things.
crypto enthusiasts and investors most likely has the knowledge of this forum so i think yes it helps the ICO to spread its word across the community, we know that other platforms has larger users but the interest on things are different especially for social media which was made to communicate to other people unlike here in the forum users are using this because of the focus of interest in here which is the cryptocurrency.
When you see the amounts that people collect, not only with the ICO's, but also for those who promote the altcoin or token here on btc-talk, I think it's worth to do a signature campaign. I've read somewhere a while ago here on the forum that some users make a GOOD living out of it.
Well, first of all, if you come to think of it. Why does signature campaign last for a long time already, if it doesnt benifit the ICO's. Majority of investors and Crypto enthusiast are all here. So, the target market is inside this community, and here is the most effective way to advertise a project.
I know signature campagns exists on this forum for very log time . I was wondering , do they really help to promote ICO , i know they spend a lot of money to pay bitcointalk members to wear their singatures and make posts . Do they really make profit out of this ?
signature campaign attracts more investors and do more advertisement than other type of bounties .
for example , in twitter or FB you dont know who are your follower , they might not know even what is cryptocurrency , so target audience in twitter and fb is not completely favorable .
while on bitcointalk forum , all of people know atleast what is bitcoin and cryptocurrency . also here many potential investors visit forum on daily basis , read posts , replies to others . so if we can target them then hopefully they will pass project info to their friends too .
so this is the intention of project to concentrate more on this forum .

I believe that the more you spend on advertising the more people will know about your project. THere are many different ways to promote your ICO and a campaign is just one of them. They work best when combined. It doesn't mater if you spend your money on a bitcointalk banner, a signature campaign or a social media campaign, it will help your project.
Bear in mind that marketing/advertising is not enough to get real investors, before spending too much money on marketing then the dev should make sure that their project is worth to invest. They need to have unique or different project than the others which may make investors interested to put their money on it. Otherwise the advertising will result in nothing.
If you see the heading of the bounty campaign thread the signature campaign will highest share percent compared to other social media campaign. Because most people here in the forum are surely investors by wearing signature it means it is getting more popular here in the forum and will easily catch up investors.

I think yes, because it is just like commercial in television, when people see the item or thing that it promotes then they have the courage to enter to the product of what they are promoting. So in sig campaign, they might invite people to invest to their ICOs, that is why managers write the rules to post in random part of the forum not only in one place to spread their ads.

Certainly, these campaigns help these projects get new investors and thus benefit from the investment. Some campaigns are running for more than an year and they would not do so if they were not benefiting from these.
There's no doubt that signature campaigns really help a lot in promoting an ICO or a project. Let's take for example this campaign, [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens. As far as I know, the ICO price is $0.01 but when this campaign started, I noticed that the price peaked at almost $0.07, which is a good return if you have invested on it during ICO. Maybe it was artificially pump but the exact moment the price grow exponentially is during its signature campaign. So I have no doubt that somewhat the campaign started this pump.

Ya, I exactly agree with you on your point that traffic forum is really not enough. An ICO developers should take the advantage of the internet and ursp the power of organic traffic and social media. A better exposed ICOs that has a good and interesting foundation will definitely attracts investors will the right marketing. 
As per my experience in the forum, The Signature Campaign is one of the most effective ways, to get exposure to the projects. If people find the potential for the project then they will surely show some interest towards the projects.
