IT does matter in the short term, because most of the people right now does not use bitcoin as a unit of account. However, when we really get started and things take off, people wouldn't care about the ever depreciating fiat currencies.

So the answer should really be both yes and no.

I am also thinking about that. What if the price stays. Where will this people (including me) would go? Will they stay and let their bitcoins be in an account or just trade it for fiat and live happily ever after?

Im very we will still continue since we know where we can get some other source to get bitcoin and surely the trading of bitcoin will stop because the price is stable what will be the trade happen if that really occurs? And for the traders surely they would stop and seek another alt because they cannot get some profit if price of bitcoin would be stable.

I think the price of bitcoin is really matter to all bitcoin's user. If the price of bitcoin is increase or decrease, it will affect all aspect on bitcoin, like trading and many else.

That's a fact about it. And even a small movement of price is really going to have effect in the market of bitcoin.
And we are circulating in bitcoin by the price of it so it is really important.
I know majority of the people here are investors and traders but there are more traders that are making so much money with a little fluctuations of the price and therefore the price matters to them that much but in my case I would love to see a high price to profit.

Price matters really and that is the most important feature of the coin why people keeps using it, and thats the reason why bitcoin is more successful among other coins there because the more price valuable the more people well be attracted to it and if the price is so low i think it is not appealing to public and thats why the price is more important.

Yeah the Bitcoin price does really matter because that is what attracting all these people and how they are going to react.
When the price is high then people are going to want to sell and when the price is low they are going to want to buy.

i think news of bitcoin, give some fundamental too. not only about supply and demand.
in fact some big news like mike hearn, sathosi nakamoto, ceo bitcoin fundation etc. can make price rise and fail .

and im sure each step make bitcoin growing more and more Smiley

of course the price of the bitcoin matters, the more it grows, the more new investors are attracted to it
Investors does not really make the price stable, it is the volume of users to adopt before we can make a good price and stable one, after which the large merchants will come in which would increase the bitcoins circulation in the market.

Does the gold price and the stock price matters? Yes it does and so is the Bitcoin; similar to them. As it carries the
future with itself and will be the most common currency that next generation is gonna see in future. One of my friend
bought a pizza worth 100 BTC. Just imagine what would have been the value such 100 BTC. That friend of mine would have
been a millionaire by now if he could have hold that money for that long.
So, price of bitcoin does matter because I wouldn't like to regret in future.

I am an active trader and price really matters for me as I buy when I think price is good  to buy and sell when I am able to make some profits from it, so price is really important for me.

Yes for sure that really matters especially for us traders, even a small fluctuation price of bitcoin there's already an effect for us.
It does really matters no matter what the price is, it tells the importance of bitcoin and value to all of us.
It should matters to all of us, but the general interest should be serve, stable price matters for the whole to improve the bitcoin economy and to gain the trust of the public while fluctuations will give the trader the time to earn money at a short time.

The price of an asset obviously matters, because it shows how much people are wanting to back it up. As its said, put your mouth where the money is. But as far as an indicator of the potential of an asset, it's nothing. Low price for something as big and revolutionary as Bitcoin is nothing but an opportunity to get rich.

i dont think the price of bitcoin matters at the present state. because 5 years from now the price wont be depending on what the price is today.

Nothing is sure with bitcoin, so you can't make a exact prediction that it won't have dependence. Based upon the acceptance got from users as well government of different countries the price will get moved.

When the bitcoin is get more popular as a payment option, it will get recognized by the governments and the price will rise.

Yes the price of bitcoin matters because it's one of the factors why people using bitcoin and why it's keep growing. I don't think that if the bitcoin is just $10 per piece it will be easy for people or online investor to ignore or abandon it.

Yeah, it does really matters and it is the one that tells the people of how important bitcoin is. Or in reality if someone has a value then it is the basis of people for its importance.
