I think no, because removing real money is not a good idea. Most of the services need a paper money, it will do harm more than good

cash will never go extinct as this is the only currency which is accepted throughout the world as far as we know it, if some countries are planning to go cashless that would be a major shift as the whole world might be affected. Not all countries have the technology to go cashless so I guess cash will still be there.. yes it will be minimize but never will it be extinct in my opinion.

Cash depends on the government of one's country. They are the one's who regulate the flow of the money within the premises of their country. Thus they are the only ones who can decide and the first one who knows that cash is already extinct.

Yeah right, in every country its all up to their government to change their currency from cash/fiat to digital. It doesn't mean that since Sweden are planning to eliminate cash it also applies to other country its a case to case basis. Maybe in sweden cryptocurrency are legal their. In my own opinion cash will not going to be instinct anytime soon.
Fiat can be digital, cash can not.

I don't think so. Yes it's good thing that cryptocurrency was develop, but it was not made to replace paper fiat or cash, instead it was develop to reinforce currency as we know it and to introduce alternative ways. Besides, not all people can readily accepts a society without cash. I also believe that it will create more problems than solutions if we totally extinct cash.

Bitcoin was specifically created to replace fiat money due to the corruption that centralization promotes.

No way. How can corruption can be stopped with a currency like decentralised bitcoin. I mean if we can't control the corruption with centralised currency which can be tracked all the time then how can we do the same with bitcoin which can't be tracked if moved around crazy.

It was not made to replace the fiat at all and there were no plans like this in the first place. All the algorithm and stuff was made out of curiosity to change the way we do transactions and keep it anonymous. That is all the bitcoin is about and it will be like that always.

The first instance of corruption is introduced at the level at which fiat currency is created. Bitcoin cuts the snake's head off instead of the tip of its tail.

No, Bitcoin is created to have an smooth transactions without the need of any banks or companies to transfer money from one place to another and it makes transactions anonymous. For example, Signature campaign managers hold big amount of bitcoin like 2 BTC or 3 BTC for campaigns and distribute that at the end of the campaign but these whole transactions are  hidden from government. So,  i think it will boost corruption rather than stopping if proper rules are not formed.
You are wrong. Please research why Bitcoin was created yourself. It was not so a regulator could come and step in to control the flow of money, because that's what created most of the economic collapses in modern history.

I don't think that the cash will be extinct because cash is very powerful and there is a lot of users it all over the world and the government are backing them up in case of the problem and that is why the cash is even more unstoppable than bitcoin and other cryptocurrency so the extinction will never happen right now and even in the future.

No. It will not. Fiat will stay. Bitcoin will stay. Both of them stays. They have their pros and cons which will bring the economy a lot of growth and the absence of fiat would lead to a negative outcome in my opinion.

Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/10/sweden-could-stop-using-cash-by-2023?utm_content=buffer40bef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

I think that would be hard to do, money or should I say paper money is not gonna go down that easily, I think cryptocurrency and and paper money are meant to work together, one will work better with the help of the other. So I think cash is not gonna go anywhere, but will be working together with cryptocurrencies.

Exactly. No need to remove one and depend entirely on the other. Bitcoin can act as a contingency for fiat and the other way around if something happens to either of them. And people's lives would be much more convenient if they have both fiat and crypto at their disposal and use depending on different situations

I believe most is that the physical costs will come out of use some day. the paper currency is constantly falling, the change money is taking up unnecessary space. We are permanently hygienically endangered. Get out the physical money.

to face out all fiat money on one country is not necessary, how about those anyone or anybody that who cant afford to buy gadgets and provide a internet connection, how do they live. i mean how do they make transaction on the physical market to buy or sell goods just to live? this idea is non sense. fiat money is important too and i think more country not to follow if that happens.

Eliminating cash would need a thorough study on what will be the impact to the economy. There will be no issues For the upper class or the wealthy ones. However, this will be a big issue particulary on the lower class community. It would be a 360 degrees adjustment if online transactions will be fully implemented since it will incur investment. Where would these people get an budget for the gadgets and monthly internet connection payment? It will be an additional burden for them. Thus, i am hesitant that cash will be elimated for now.

Not yet for now at least. Everyone still uses cash basically. If everyone can learn more about Bitcoin and it catches their interest then everyone might use it and it might cause extinction but I don't see it happening.

yes of course if indeed all countries follow suit seems there is a possibility of cash will be extinct and replaced by digital currency.
But still, it's not really certain yet if other countries will follow that planning / contemplating effort by Sweden. because surely there are still many are considering if it would be to do, and certainly not everyone in this world wloud thinking same, there must be a lot of people who sometimes veer from a plan that will be decided.

I do not think so , fiat money in most nations is important , they always need cash instead of cryptos. Maybe the rich people may not need cash in the future but most people needed only cash money.  Cashless society only means that , the rich will only be the one who can have money in the future . And i do not think that most of the countries government accepts this kind of cashless society.
