Increased orphan blocks in my opinion is due to the latency of the server, with a coin that has a target block time of 1 min there are a good number of people that find blocks at almost the same time. If the switchercoin server takes too long to submit our find then it is possible someone else could sneak in and submit before ours makes it.

are there other pools similar to this one? middlecoin.com seems interesting. poolwarz.com has me interested as well. anyone have any feedback on those two pools?

1. How do we cash out? I cannot find any option except auto payment.

2. Profits are not as advertised. I was getting more or less the same when I was mining LTC directly on give-me-coins.com.

3. I was checking transaction history for last couple of days and there are too many Orphans as others found out.

(There is something fishy going on with this site. Where is the operator?)

how do i see how many orphans the pool is getting?

As it's now mining DOGE, go to the DOGE stats page and scroll down to the "LAST 50 BLOCKS FOUND" section. The validity column will show 'Orphan' for the orphaned blocks. You can't really see very far back (again, transparency is one of this pool's problems IMO), but at one point a few days ago it was like 4 orphaned out of 10 found blocks!

Crazy, and wonder if there's a way of double checking the validity of this information. Eg. is it possible to claim a block orphaned while in fact it was not?

that's interesting, i wonder if the pool operator can chime in and talk about that. my gut instinct is that the orphans are probably just random and legit and we have just had some bad luck, but i'm interested in other's opinions on the matter.

This pool is having a big problem with orphans. It is the biggest problem of this pool. Everything look ok except this problem.

I started mining here 27 hours ago. Taking the balance accumulated in the last 24 hours, the profit is very close to what I would have got if I mined LTC directly. In contrast, the site advertised ~168% profit. I'll move on to another pool.

I'm feeling the same way. It's a shame as I was happy.

+1. Have been mining on three pools for a few days for comparison (polmine, teamdodge and switchercoin - all DOGE) and have to say my earnings on switchercoin are consistently ~30+% less than on other pools. I do understand that luck does play a part, but with dogecoin's block generation you shouldn't need weeks for the luck factor to more or less level out. Just a word of caution to everyone looking for the 'daddy of all multipools'...

Don't think I'll be coming back before there's more transparency eg. a way to chceck previous rounds' stats like on teamdodge.

Why does it take so long to transfer the LTC to the user after the autopayment system says that it sent them ( I'm talking about <5 hours)

yeah i'm wondering the same thing myself. auto payout 5.2 ltc initiated about 6 hours ago but still no sign of it on the blockchain

edit - it went through

OP should be answering questions in this thread but since he isn't, I'll have a go:

1) When do payouts occur?

I've been waiting on my first payout for a couple (6+) hours.

2) In the top right it says "Estimated Per Payout", Is that in Litecoin or is that in the current coin that its mining (Dogecoin atm)?

It is in the current coin being mined.
Thank you for the help!

Anyone know an exact time for payouts?
