Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Presidential candidate and the most popular leader of the United States, Donald Trump is unsurprisingly not a huge fan of crypto but it's found that he has been profiting from the crypto riches.
The Ethereum came from a NFT on Trump theme. Though trump was not associated with the project, he got royalties from it in the form of Ethereum. The project is licensed from the Trump's company to use Trumps name and features. The royalties were over 1075 which the trump team recently sold for $2.4 million.
The use of crypto by presidential candidate is a sign of easing up with crypto and we could further see candidates accepting donations via crypto.

He is a smart guy, if he sold it, he must have been thinking of some kind of investment that would make him more profitable than Ethereum,
But now we don't know why he sold it. There must be a great reason behind the fact that he has sold the worth.he is benefiting mostly because Trump who is someone else than he would not sell without thinking but he must be thinking of something for the future which will more given rather than etherium.

i guess if trump is a little interested in crypto about its advantages and uses i guess if he becomes president he will make policies that will benefit traders in the country, who knows Grin Grin Grin
He is a businessman. He knows where good money comes from. This market is too good to be ignored

True, yeah he made millions of $ from that, and Im pretty sure he also holds some coins, maybe BTC or ETH.
He has sold his 1st series of NFT starting 2022 then he launched the 2nd series in 2023 which sold out within 24 hours after its launch.
I will be not surprised either if he launches the 3rd series in this year/near the election.

you are wrong, the one who sold it was not him but someone else, and he got royalties because that party used him, whether he holds a number of bitcoins or not, I think he holds them because he is a businessman, he definitely knows how to make money.

but why did the government initially reject and ban it, now almost everyone in the world is familiar with crypto, although in my opinion it is still far from mass adoption, but now I think developments in the crypto world are becoming more visible and clear.
If retail comes in there will be new money flowing in.

I just want to know the purpose of selling these royalties, does Trump need additional funds for example or to attract attention and support from supporters of cryto users or is there another purpose that has not yet emerged? I am waiting for news or for him to provide clarification to the media crew regarding this matter or on his social media. however, the impact on price movements in the market may not be as impactful

That's right, for them this kind of investment is too risky and they don't want to get involve to any of this while they have their own source of income that are secured and they are few of them who doing that kind of business. Unless he has someone who is expert to this crypto investment just like any big companies who adopted crypto currencies and make it easy for them to access this way of investment in their companies and Trump could also use the same strategy if he wants to.

He might be not a huge fan of crypto but he's interested with any possibilities that his investment will grow at since he look up those other influential people try to invest their money on crypto. We have Elon Musk first on the list so maybe he just try to figure out if this is good investment and I think the money he use is the one he can afford to lose then now he tries to liquidate his crypto asset since maybe he's still not satisfied with the result of acquiring it.

But we don't know the exact thing happening and where he really get that volume so there would be a lot of speculation to come with that. But I guess since he sold his asset I then maybe he's done with crypto for now but let see if this guys will comeback and try to participate again on any crypto investment activities.

I guess Donald Trump, now has the interest of crypto enthusiasts in USA, they're heading into election and nothing should be overlooked, votes from crypto enthusiasts in the his country can make all the difference on election day. Nobody can deny that the popularity of cryptocurrency is increasing everywhere including the US, so this can be a political decision to get the votes of people with interest in cryptocurrency, because he's rich and can raise his campaign funds without collecting any crypto royalty. I'm just guessing here.

When he became the president of US the crypto market is already Boomed and if he really shows interest like what you said this market is too good to be ignored then he must be Owning more than what we are seeing now?
but that seems not to be the reality here unless he is hiding more of His assets inside crypto then who may know that?

Well, that is indeed a personal opinion of Donald Trump, not the government of the United States Of America. Therefore, we must not panic at all or be worried.
As stated in OP, it just royalty which will valid as they uses the name of Donald Trump, if that is their decision to sell the royalty proceeds, so be it.

The fact that he's got royalties from it is brilliant. Well, whoever has made those NFTs even made more money probably than him but that's fine. He doesn't even know what these EEEEETHereum is(with his accent). So, this can also be used for his campaigning for the upcoming election in the US since he's going to run again for that POTUS post.

I doubt that Trump or his employee that handle this transaction care or know about crypto market, let alone about the bull run. Actually it's even surprising for them to know how to sell the ETH  Grin. I think it's understandable that they want to get all the money they can get now since they need it to fund their campaign for the 2024 presidential election.
It is for sure that he never touches anything there and it's just some sort of his staff or anyone that works for him or connected to him informed him to do that advised and waited for his go signal. I wouldn't be surprised if there are few of them that works for him that aware of this and what matters there is the money that he's gonna get out of those sales through his trump team.

The team did it on coinbase most probably a swap so they don't have to worry about learning anything.
But however be the past statements of Trump that were made like 5 years ago, he's known to be a populist leader and he'll speak what he thinks would resonate with the larger group of people. In a recent 18th January campaign speech, he claimed . “As your president, I will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency. This would be a dangerous threat to freedom, and I will stop it from coming to America.”
I'm not sure if he fully understands what he's saying or the statement is written by Ramaswami or other crypto experts in republican team but that's one of the most progressive thought about importance of cryptocurrencies as they are.

Presidential candidate and the most popular leader of the United States, Donald Trump is unsurprisingly not a huge fan of crypto but it's found that he has been profiting from the crypto riches.

I mean, it just would make far more sense with the fact that they're dumping the ETH right? If he was a fan of crypto then there's a higher likeliness of him holding the ETH for potential long-term growth, but alas, he currently is not so he's dumping it.

I doubt it's Donald Trump himself anyway. Probably his financial manager.

His financial manager or his asset manager indeed. Donald Trump is a political dinosaur who believes than anything which is not centralized and belongs to Wall Street is likely a scam. I am sure someone within his circle who is more aware of the value and advantages of Cryptocurrency convinced him to accept the payment in Ethereum for the license to use his name, brand and advertisement to sell those NTFs in the Blockchain.
Regardless whether he makes money off of it or not, there is little chance he actually shares the values of this community and if he continues to get into crypto in the future will be only to continue profit of his fans and political supporters, nothing beyond it.
He does not care for holding private cryptographics keys, does not care for signatures in messages, he does not care for encryption and he does not care for Defi whatsoever.

If anything, I hope he is selling that Ethereum to pay his lawyers, because they deserve to be granted some good money for tainting their professional careers by defending him in very wacky situations.

The former president's behavior is one hundred percent in line with his own statements. I am not surprised that this man who updates pragmatism with Trumpism sold his Ethereum. Actually, I don't blame him because he approaches things logically and he always says what he's going to do in advance and he always does what he says. I think the news content is the kind of behavior that can be expected from Trump.

you should not be surprised that most of the people who are leaders that since Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a way that a money laundering can be accused successfully and the people who invest in cryptocurrency of different kinds without the awareness of knowledge of anyone why they are the same Who condemns the existence of cryptocurrency Bitcoin specially and the it sub sessions of cryptocurrency,

So on my own analysis and the findings for all this politicians they have two or three coins they invest on, so therefore I believe that investment in cryptocurrency is a personal race and you come decide to make it open to people and also decide to make it very secretive For You Alone that is why many politicians today but we are not aware

though he got those ETH for free through those NFT royalties, it's still a big mistake to sell it while the bull run hasn't come yet. he has tons of money so there is no reason for him to sell them.

I think that's one good way to get campaign fund, by selling Trump NFT, tho I thought that since Trump himself is Anti-Crypto so most of his supporter is anti-crypto too or maybe the one whos buying his NFT is not even his supporter. Anyway I hope that after he knew that crypto help him fund his campaign maybe he would be understand more about crypto, and take some interest.

he benefitted from the crypto project i can't see why not. now that is has earned from crypto I think he will become a crypto-friendly president after all he also doesn't want CBDC.

His "hate" for CBDC is most likely something he thinks works his advantage with his fanbase. I doubt very much that trump would understand crypto or CBDC at all.

Also 4 years ago he said that

I have also hard time believing that he has in any way connected to creation of those nfts, but that someone has just told him that if they get him to sign off, they could make millions without any investment. So there's probably a deal where trump gets the money from cards and maker gets the % from the trading fees, or something like that. Also as there are ton of celebrities getting sued left and right for endorsing nfts, one can just speculate how this goes.

This Trump thing will only exhausted the energy you have in you. You need to understand what is happening behind the scenes. Trump might actually knows about this NFTs and Ethereum thing but I hope you know that this activities are not carried by Trump himself, it is govern by some of his campaign group and some people who are using all these to do campaign things, you don't expect a whole person like Trump to be doing all these activities of NFTs and others.

You need to also understand that election is fast approaching, his party needs money for campaigns and election proceedings. All these sell offs has a purpose and it is going to be channel into that election to make sure that man wins because you see that battle between democracy and republican, it's not a fight that will end very soon as Trump don't want to lose this time and Biden will like to continue.

These two men shouldn't be an option but seem Americans love the only two parties the most while the rest are just there to fill spaces and waste resources over nothing. After this election, watch how they will abandoned this NFTs things on people and focus on their government if they later win that election. I heard same thing from Biden campaign back in his last election but change immediately he got to office.

It's all business as he is a business tycoon he knows how to make money without eventually doing much and don't be surprised if you get to know in future that he has been piling up crypto currency all these while without actually revealing about it because he is a businessman not any so called crypto influencer who has to show off his profits or holdings to get more users subscribed to their channel. I am sure there are other politician cum business owners who have been hodling crypto without revealing as their end objective is money.
