I cant undestand how that Mexican cartels are so dangerous and nobody cant defeat them in Europe countries army would fast destroy most l narco cartels and there will not be place for them.We have also in our countries narco mafia but  not so many like in Mexico and America which means that this 2 countries have bad strategy for fight vs them.I cant beleive how Mexico cartel is so powerful in America country that is really crazy what money can do omg hard to even imaginate that in my brain.Mexico needs more strict laws for drug dealers to fix that problem or if it is too late it need internathional help to fix that problem I dont know exactly situation there.

Just admit it. The Mexican government is waging a war against the drug cartels for almost a decade now, and the situation hasn't improved a bit. On the other hand, now the conflict has spread to the other Central American nations such as Honduras and Guatemala. Perhaps now Mexico should urge the US to send its army to take down the drug cartels.

No. The US citizens won't pay. If the Mexican goods get more expensive, then they will import goods from Canada or Brazil. Already the Canadian Tar Sands producers are salivating at the idea of having an absolute monopoly in the US, at the expense of the Mexican Maya crude.

I think that Trump really has become hostage to his campaign promises. The worst for him,what if he tries do execute them I will run into such resistance and unpredictable the consequences. Welcome to hell !

Donald trump would probably place up walls in the boundaries between America and Mexico. This may be costly but in this way America can secure that there will be no illegal immigrants from Mexico that will enter the United States of Americas border. If this will be implemented then the illegal immigrants cannot enter America and they will no longer lost their lives from gunshots made by border patrols. Trumps ideology of America is for Americans will be implemented and setting up a border wall is just one of the steps towards achieving its true goal.

that's a good point.  Especially since Mexico's president has a lot of vocal organized opposition.  A bit of CIA funding here and there for some unrest/riots   Once people get accustomed to a certain standard of living, they will fight like hell to keep it. 

They will be paying until they continue buying Mexican products.

I think the idea is to crush the Mexican economy then negotiate a new trade deal.

If they really impose the 20% tax on all imports, the Mexican government will agree to anything to prevent the riots in the streets.

What about the American criminals, who escape justice to Mexico? What about tequila they all love, and tex-mex? Is trump going to block it as well? That wall is ridiculous IMO, but let him play with it. He's a victim of his own promises, but he's a stubborn man and like you said is going to at least try to build it. Probably won't finish, but we'll see.

I think the way things are now.

American goods exported into mexico pay a tariff.

Mexican goods imported into the america pay NO tariff.

Trump is simply making things fair.

I think they dont want to realize, that trump will introduce customs punishment of 20% or more for mexican products.

This mean the u.s.a. can take more than 16 billion dollar every year more.
And the wall will only cost about 20 billion, so they will pay for the wall if the want or not.

Native country spends money on education, and prosper countries get free educated people ready to work and pay taxes without investing anything in them

Unsure about the situation with Mexico though, I would think it's a similar situation
And I know many mexicans end up working physical jobs, but still
It's what emigration does, they perform jobs they are overqualified to do since normally employers will hire someone in their field from his native country and a native diploma instead of a foreign one

The wall is needed to prevent liberals from escaping into Mexico after Executive Order to round them up and implant a Trump Brain Clone in each of them in order to shut them up.

The arrogance of the Mexicans has given opportunity for Trump to justify his actions. Mexicans must remember that they are the lawbreakers. They must be thankful to the United States for accommodating so many Mexicans, including some 2 million criminals.

I think its obvious where the balance of power lies here...Tariff on mexican car parts, and modification to NAFTA will leave mexico.....broken.  You will have a massive devaluation of currency eventually if all hell breaks loose between the two countries.  They can't really count on the oil money anymore unless the price goes way up.  So Mexico will have to compromise.  I think the wall is going to be there because the outcome of these policies will be increased poverty and increased emigration from mexico.

I dont know if anyone realizes this, but car parts are big business.  For example, take an alternator.  Used to be made in michigan, now in some shit hole in mexico (sorry but its true, its a shithole, with a protected industrial sector).  The price the car company sells the alternator to Ford/gm whatever is pretty much the same, maybe a bit lower, but instead of paying american workers a decent wage, benefits, and retirement, they pay poor mexicans literally dollars a day.  These people live in places where they dont even have reliable electricity, let alone proper drinking water access.  They are trained to do specific jobs and they do it well.  Its not their fault, but they are exploited.  The wall is not for now.  The wall is for what will happen next.  Be right back, gonna go watch escape from LA again not that its super relevant...

In any case, the global economy is out of wack, with inverted capital flows.  There is a huge savings glut, excess saving, which is then sent to America which distorts international interest rates.  This is the real cause of the great recession, i.e. low borrowing rates and the reason we wont see higher rates in our lifetimes probably unless major changes happen.  so in conclusion mexico is fucked.

Even though its stupid and unnecessary the majority of those who voted for him wants it to be done. Trump has to answer to his electorates and what they wants, Thats what any sensible president would have done and i applaud him for that.
