I would really love to start mining again, when payouts are fixed..

??The Official Pool of Clean Water Coin??

**Findblocks disabled, new blocks will currently not show up in the frontend-Payouts disabled, you will not receive any coins to your offline wallet for the time being**

Wallet seems to be working good now, up to date on both current & est blocks..

If you want a reliable pool I have been mining at water.suprnova.cc since launch and they have not been down once.
They have made all wallet changes that have been released immediately and have never been on the wrong blockchain.
Payouts are made like clockwork and they charge 0% fees.

We really need to increase the network hash rate, it's only at 55 MH/s at the moment.

Remember, the coin IS the network, if you want to support it you have to keep mining!

To those that are saying it's not worth the electricity to mine at current prices, you obviously don't have any faith in the coin. The price WILL recover, it will take a while to bounce back (and price is already creeping up) so you will be glad you mined loads of coins at really low difficulty when the price is back up to 300 satochi!

The lack of communication between the coin developers and the community is very unsettling.  In a market based mainly speculation, confidence is the most important thing.  As of right now, I don't have confidence in this coin.

What is so promising and encouraging is the community that has rallied around us to help us get back on our feet and back on the track we were easily heading towards before the stumble last week. Our developer made a mistake -- we've admitted that, and have been candid about that -- but the blame is on each of us here at Clean Water Coin, not just him. Voxelot, BrianB, WALKEN-COIN, CryptoSiD, Kelvin, and dozens of others are doing a tremendous job in helping as we restructure behind the scenes and get ready for the next push. Mistakes happen, and perhaps we may make more -- but the fact that we are still here, and still communicating should hopefully be some sort of evidence that we have not given up. Also understand that we've had to throw away plan a -- a plan that we spent months orchestrating, and so we ask for your patience as we continue to get everything together and in place for this unexpected plan b.

We are making great headway, but there is still much more that needs to be in place before we can pull the trigger on plan b, but it is coming -- sooner rather than later Smiley

is 0.9.1 bitcoin update going to affect every altcoin?

If the question is for the OpenSSL Heartbleed bug, then I think the answer is yes. Most wallets I have seen are linked to OpenSSL 1.0.1f library which contains that bug. Version 1.0.1g contains the fix. I know of at least few that were updated. Obviously, the CWC wallet should be patched in due course as well.

Here is some more information about the referenced OpenSSL bug from one of the Vertcoin devs. He provides more flavor about what actually is impacted. In addition to the explanation, it provides a link for pool operators to verify if they are vulnerable to the problem.

Crap I could have built the windows wallet with 1.0.1g yesterday but it is built with 1.0.1f so I will need to patch this soon.   Might upgrade the code entirely to bitcoin0.9 instead of the 0.7.2 that it was written on as well... this will require much more work than patching the heartbleed bug.

Conf file should be in the roaming\clearwatercoin

YouIsPeng, WALKEN-COIN, thank you both! I learned something today.

EDIT: I suggest that both messages (one for blockchain sync with config file, one without) are linked from OP so this information does not get lost in this long thread.

Peng's fix works flawlessly.

One question, the conf file is supposed to be in the roaming/cleanwatercoin folder or is it supposed to be in the wallet qt folder?

Awesome job Peng, glad to see you found a way to exclude the nodes with bad block heights on my new wallet!

.conf will go in the roaming folder.
