Lately the value of bitcoin again increased to 9,700 US dollars after previously had touched low enough level, which is $ 6,400 last month. While last December, bitcoin had touched its highest level to 20,000 US dollars.
No, Bitcoin didn't reached $9700 recently, it was only reached $8400 as highest since  many days ago.

For @Op, it's all people's decision, let them buy whatever they want. It's either from altcoin or FIAT, you shouldn't tell them what should they do with their money. As you can see since bitcoin price slightly recovered, Marketcap has increased to $300 trillion from $270 trillion

It actually depends. Depends on investors. There are huge noobs who only follow the % and buy. Bitcoin is definitely a good choice  for investment while you are talkung about crypto, but, come on, you will regret later when you will miss the potential of having more profit from alt.

It seems many people are speculating the rise of BTC and therefore are transfering value from alts to BTC. But if you want BTC, buy it with FIAT! Fresh new funds are needed on the market! You are dumping alts making prices dump hard and maybe are speculating you will be able to buy more of the alts later on, but what idiot will selll it to you at that dumped price?? So if you want BTC, buy it with FIAT or at least don't expect to buy back more of the alts for cheap!

I think that alts are much better now than bitcoin, even if sometimes the price of these seems linked, there is plenty of space for everyone in this crypto-space so a bit of both is good.

I understand your logic but not something most people are willing to do. It requires patience since transferring FIAT takes a bit whereas if you convert your alt to bitcoin, you save the time and fees.

Everyone knows about it and everyone has a limit they can invest on crypto. Investing everything on it would be a gamble.
For the market to rise, we would need new investors, the flow from alt to bitcoin and bitcoin to alt would yield nothing.

bitcoin will get big losses because it will take a lot of time to liquidate their bitcoin to altcoin again. You can see that most people are still speculating about it now rather than spending new money on bitcoins when the price is so cheap.

Nice views there mate, you're perfectly right on this because look at the market now, altcoins are dumping because of the investors attitude that selling their altcoins to buy bitcoins

But we need more capital to be added in market not same value than only converted, because if this will continue good alts will die and the market would never be balanced

I think this is a good tip because each of us can buy some coins for fiat think that it really will saturate the market with new investments and the market will come to a head because attracting more money always leads to growth!

Most of the users are investing in Altcoins to get profit in bitcoin and when their is profit in altcoin and bitcoin price is rising then i dont think that it is wrong to sell altcoin to bitcoins so that when bitcoin price is high can sell and reap double profit, which is i think nothing wrong as everyone is investing in altcoin to get more profit in bitcoins.

I agree speculators in our market very much, they earn, but earn pennies compared to what it could earn if you did not sell your altcoins. As the author said the best choice is to buy bitcoin for cash and thus to increase the capitalization of the market, while still earning the same.

I think it's a good idea. Buying real Bitcoins will allow the bitcoin to have a great amount of liquidity, thereby creating a trust for everyone that bitcoin can convert real money at any time - not just an imaginary cake.

Yes, I think the amount of funds in the whole market is still insufficient at present, so at present, because the ETF may be approved, bitcoin has a good increase. However, most altcoin still has no room to rise, because many people have a high purchase cost, so people seek to sell the token at a high price.

I hate selling one coin and trying to buy into another that you believe will rise or rise faster than the one you are currently invested with. I have tried that a couple of times and all that ever seems to happen is the one I sold then goes on a run. Better to invest with new funds and keep your options open.

When the price of altcoin growth instantly and then those are selling their alts for bitcoin will get a big lost because it will take a lot of time to liquidate their bitcoin to the altcoin again. you can see that how the majority of people are still speculating about that right now instead of spend new money to buy bitcoin when the price was so cheap.

They don't want to spend time depositing with their fiat but that's way better to contribute to market to make the volume higher.

Buying bitcoin with fiat is being done by newbies and I think I understand what you are trying to say here because most alts are dumped but look at the altcoin market again now.

I do know what you're getting at, but I can't see the logic behind not selling alts when btc does a big jump. Most alt coin owners are bitcoin maximalists at their cores....what do you expect when they feel it's time to get back in btc? I mean, wouldn't you try and hop on that train if it goes to ath again? Even non-maximalists would go through this route, only to buy back their alts either with more btc (so more alts) or for a cheaper price.

I do get you. I do not sell my alts. I don't want to be part of that movement that is only buying and selling just to get a bit more $$$. In my vision there will be enough $$$ for everyone for at least those that bought in already in previous months/years. I mean, how much $$$ do you actually need? So I am sticking to my alts and don't care that much about btc.

That is probably good advice, if you are selling alts to purchase bitcoin then you are most likely selling at a loss and then hoping to recover ground when Bitcoin rises, the alts are likely to follow on after and will probably increase by a greater percentage anyway so you may miss out twice. Personally I never sell one to buy another it rarely ends well.
