Yes, that's what the end goal is for most of the long term holders. It is no longer a secret that in the long run, we're going to see higher price of Bitcoin and that's why it is the thought that many likes to see happen even before. The mass adoption will drive the prices up as the demand is going to keep up with it as well. Whether some people like it or not, mass adoption is one the key contributors for Bitcoin's massive growth.

most long-term holders certainly have expectations that mass-adoption of bitcoin will occur in the future, but the strict regulation of bitcoin by the government and with the launch of the bitcoin etf which is an alternative investment in bitcoin, it seems that mass adoption of bitcoin will take more time to come true. especially the issue of fees and networks which are often congested, these things hinder the mass adoption of bitcoin in the future and make long-term holders need to be patient to get the profits they want.

I own Bitcoin but I don't tell anyone. And I hold them and I pray that Bitcoin will stay long (or even forever) in order to give opportunities to others who haven't yet seen the potential of Bitcoin.

We don't need mass adoption OP but what we need is market understanding and trust as it was far to become realistic and consider Bitcoin as another form of currency when people do not understand its purpose. Buy, Hold, and Use - that is the thing we should have to do. Adoption becomes too easy when all of us understand how Bitcoin works.

Two reasons why I don't tell anyone that I have bitcoin.

1. I don't want people tell me that I am bragging or flexing my asset to them since people might give us bad impression and call us arrogant.

2. Don't want other people know that I have bitcoin for security reason since I don't want to attract bad elements that can harm me.

For now we don't need mass adoption since at current situation we can still earn and its up to us on how we deal with bitcoin market and profitability in thus industry will all matter depends on the efforts we exert.

Peace be with you!
I'm not saying anyone should go on start telling people about how much bitcoin they have accumulated, all I'm saying is start your own bitcoin journey if you haven't, stop praying for good things when your not planning on beign a partaker
Of course your prayers don't work if you just sit there and relax. You need to spend your time and effort to achieve it. Since I came back here on this forum I learned from my mistakes in the past and then realize that hodling Bitcoin and having much patience will surely give us benefits in the future. I am now hodling my weekly Bitcoin rewards from signature campaigns as my long term investment and I am happy with it.

In my street I am the only one who knows about this forum, I did this research a while ago.
But many of them know about bitcoin, don't really know if they are holding or doing transactions with it

If someone knows about Bitcoin and doesn't know about this forum, why would that be a problem? I found this forum when I was searching for terms related to Bitcoin, so if you search for "bitcoin forum" you will get exactly this forum as the first result in the search results, but even if you are not looking for a forum but only "bitcoin" there is a high probability that you will find link to this forum on another link.

By the way, try to edit the posts you quote, because it really doesn't make sense to reply to one sentence and quote two or three posts.

That title makes no sense, only those who hold for long term wants and pray for mass adoption, many people on this forum don't care about Bitcoin, some are so into altcoin because they believe that they won't be able to make profit from holding Bitcoin anymore.
Still, many are into Bitcoin and this is a Bitcoin forum although it is true that there are a lot of investors and holders that are into altcoins. But they know for a fact that if Bitcoin moves properly, their alts are also going to follow so it's a domino effect.

Only long term holders the want mass adoption, if you plan to retire holding Bitcoin won't you want mass adoption to increase greatly? By the time your retirement starts you will wish to look at your crypto portfolio and laugh like a king, isn't that the dream?

That's it , people keep talking about bitcoin here and there actually even in this forum there
are lots of talk that we need to Buy and hold bitcoin but ask them how much bitcoin they owned for
sure their answers are just fake because the truth is they even choose to buy and hold shitcoins t
han bitcoin because they do believe in easy money than a working proress.

Buy bitcoin now and thank us later guys , be a HODL even with small amount to start with.
I believe that majority of people in the cryptospace are here for profits, no wonder why there are still people who choose to risk on shitcoins that are proven to be trash and unsustainable, it is just because the profit potential they can get holding or trading it is much much better than holding bitcoin. It's their money and life, we can't do anything about their investment. The best thing we can do when they somehow failed is to help them recover and educate them well on things that they should be doing.

Some people don't even plan to buy any Bitcoin, they are here to participate in signature campaign and they use the money for something else, whether Bitcoin goes up or down they don't care, they want their weekly payment and they are good.

I don't think there is anyone on this forum who doesn't want to own and hold bitcoin. Everyone knows about its value and potential, and I bet you no one hates money. People who join the signature campaign and spend bitcoin every week just because circumstances force them to do it because not everyone has an easy life like you or me. There are many things in life that take priority over investing and holding bitcoin, and many people are struggling out there. Don't rush to criticize those who cannot hold bitcoin because we are not in their situation, we don't know what they are going through.

That's a very long post to read mate and you have bring all your thoughts and beliefs about Bitcoin so salute about that one and better to continue your legacy introducing bitcoin to people.

HODLING must be started by everyone who is in here in forum , many are just reading thread and planning to purchase but never engage their money inside this coin.

Also another thing is that Mass adoption will only happen if we starts making it possible by buying now and hold till then.

What if people hold their Bitcoin in their wallet and never use them? I guess I have seen such a post and wrote about it somewhere too. If everyone starts holding and never spending their Bitcoin where it's available, how are you helping the adoption? To help the adoption, you have to use their Bitcoin payment method gateway so other companies start to accept Bitcoin.

Let's say a couple of companies adopted bitcoin but there are no users to pay using Bitcoin, what is the benefit then? They need Bitcoin users to spend Bitcoin, Right? If you expect massive adoption, you have to help them by paying in Bitcoin.  Wink

remind everyone why we are really bitcoin enthusiast
People who previously never believed in Bitcoin started learning about Bitcoin as the industry grew. The approval of the Bitcoin ETF increasingly invites retail investors who have been closed to Bitcoin to study Bitcoin because based on their understanding Bitcoin can help improve their economy in the future.
Information spread in print, electronic and social media will change their views on Bitcoin. Bitcoin enthusiasts do not need to bother reminding or inviting them to join this industry because their awareness of Bitcoin will encourage them to learn something related to Bitcoin because it is starting to be considered a very profitable investment.

Why need to hold? there are so many users keep complaining if Bitcoin is no longer a currency, shame to see Bitcoin mostly used as a commodity etc etc. Tongue
(....)
True because if you really a believer in Bitcoin and a supporter, holding or non-holding is already enough, it does not matter. As long as you know how Bitcoin works, you know what is good benefits of it and you are sharing your knowledge about Bitcoin or spreading goods words of Bitcoin to other people, it's already enough for me for supporting Bitcoin.

Mass adoption doesn't mean buying BTC and HODLing. Mass adoption means people and companies using BTC for payments every day.
I'm sure that most of the forum members are BTC HODLers so your forum post is kinda pointless. Go somewhere online, where there are plenty of people, who aren't aware about Bitcoin and start preaching there. Grin Maybe you will gain a few Bitcoin newbies here and there.
I guess that you are butthurt because the BTC price isn't going after the Bitcoin ETF approval. Don't get too obsessed with the Bitcoin price.
It's normal for the BTC price to go up and down.

Ofcourse everyone who uses that must probably hold some. Its not just only for mass adoption but to increase one's portfolio by holding it. Some people hold bitcoin due to its investment form and thats mostly the users are aiming to ean from it. Id do hope there some solutions on transaction fees that hinders the potential of mass adoption. Well its a fact, that if high fees will continue like this most users will shift to other low fees since other establishment also used or accept other crypto aside from bitcoin.

To become a Bitcoin enthusiast, you don't need to own Bitcoin, the most important thing is how you can understand Bitcoin and the blockchain in it, because there are several reasons why someone can be interested in Bitcoin but doesn't want to be a holder of it, whether for financial or other reasons. You can't say that someone shouldn't talk too much about Bitcoin just because he doesn't have Bitcoin, it's true that it would be better for him to invest in Bitcoin first to be able to experience it firsthand, but that doesn't mean that other than Bitcoin holders can't discuss about it, because there are no rules prohibiting it.

Exactly! , but we can understand why many investors or crypto currency holders choose not to hold bitcoin or do bitcoin investments. Because of its current price, it's hard for those newbies. When you do a survey among those new to crypto investment, most of them are into altcoins or different coins, but they stay away from bitcoin.
Even though we have a DCA strategy for newbies or holders that can't buy a whole bitcoin, it's still hard for them as they are afraid if their investment will earn or not. But as you said, bitcoin is long-term, and that mindset is hard for those newbies in crypto currency investment. That's why they will abandon the long term and think of how to earn for their daily needs. But cheers for those who're already thinking ahead. I hope they will not regret their choices or regret that they didn't take the risk and start investing in bitcoin, which has proven its potential over the years.

Honestly, I don't think we'll ever get to a point where the entire world's value is in Bitcoin. That would not only mean that Bitcoin is the only currency, but also that there are no other assets, no other valuable things, technologies, services, etc. I think that's impossible because there's always diversity, and some things that are of practical, if not symbolic, value (like basic foods or medicine).
Also, hodling kind of counts as adoption, but if you think about it, it's not much of a contribution without any active use of Bitcoin being involved. Without movement, Bitcoin doesn't have liquidity, and without liquidity, it doesn't have value.
It won't get to that point as long as there's still a government and that the masses don't unite towards this common goal and those things will be an impossibility as long as we don't destroy the current civilization. There's already enough market movement for bitcoin in my opinion so I don't think that the problem is that, hundreds of millions are traded daily across the crypto platform and exchanges, that's why I think that and at the same time it's also worth mentioning that we can only go up in terms of bitcoin adoption so there's nothing that you have to worry about that part, as an individual, what we need to worry about is where to get the money that we're going to need to accumulate as much right now that the market movement isn't signifying that it's a bull run just a start of the bull run.

Profound but I'm telling you that people that are talking about mass adoption are long term bitcoin hodlers so they know what they're about when it comes to mass adoption and there's no way that someone's believable if they're not fully into it in the first place right? I wouldn't want a revolutionary talking about bitcoin or cryptocurrency being liberating against the oppressive financial institutions when they don't have any bitcoins in their name, that's hypocritical and goes to show where you really stand and what you are as a person.
