In as much as we all want Bitcoin to be adopted in the whole world, it should be more realistic to know that Bitcoin may never be accepted globally. Bitcoin in so many developing countries who have showed interest in it has proven to the world, the essence of making Bitcoin legally acceptable. Still, some countries has proven stubborn either because they are scared of Bitcoin increasing the rate of scam in their country or they don't want something they are unable to control or manipulate just like the fiat currency. For sure, as the rate of adoption of Bitcoin is increasing, so are the numbers of investors and an increase in the number of investors flooding the market, will give an equal rise in the value of Bitcoin.  

Holding onto Bitcoin is a common strategy for long term investors aiming for profits. Despite fluctuations, the potential for Bitcoin to surpass expectations suggests it's wise for investors to hold and prepare for a future with significantly higher Bitcoin values. While selling some coins may be necessary, being able to replace them or hold for the long run is advisable.

  Money can’t buy you happiness. But right now, a little fiat can buy you some big, heavy bags of certain alts. Whether or not that makes you happy is up to you. Investing in cryptocurrency in general is a good business if you are on the right path and with the right platform. As much as possible you should try to look at the big picture when assessing the future of different coins a full year from now. My approach is first to consider what types or groups of coins hold potential for adoption in the near future. For example, I think privacy coins are a solid bet for future uptake. Another group of coins worth looking at are those involved in the integration of social media and blockchain technology. Such bridging projects — projects bridging conventional technology with blockchain and cryptocurrency — will be an important driver for blockchain adoption in the near future.
   This is a risky game, and you only have to spend 30 seconds looking at a bitcoin chart to see the wild swings that have occurred in the last few years. This is a game not for the weak of heart and fortunes have been lost or made very quickly. You need to understand the risks before you get in this game, and I would recommend you do over 100 hours research before diving in the deep end.
  

Good to know about this and congratulations on your successful first step, I hope you know also how to keep safe your Bitcoin while preparing for the next bullrun.  I don't know if the DCA method of purchasing Bitcoin still works since we noticed Bitcoin continuously rising the price but I think this needs to have proper market monitoring.  Just make sure that you cover the fees before purchasing Bitcoin, also it's ideal to purchase Bitcoin if the transaction doesn't have much traffic that results from high fees.

If you go ahead back several years ago, you'll keep hearing people talking about mass adoption and that's what we need to see a higher price of Bitcoin. Today, there are people that want to see it reversed because for what sake? We can complain on many things but even if we do so, we don't have control over these things and mass adoption is inevitable just as how Bitcoin's price is going to rise up. You can compare what you're saying with a coin that has a very limited supply and there's no adoption so where the value goes?

This is the first time I’m hearing the term “Bitcoin talker”. Did you just come up with that? People who come here do so because they are interested in bitcoin, I don’t think there is any member of bitcointalk that doesn’t have bitcoin savings.
Oh so this is another “I bought my first bitcoin announcement thread”. You could have saved us all the trouble by making it simple and short.

Honestly, I don't think we'll ever get to a point where the entire world's value is in Bitcoin. That would not only mean that Bitcoin is the only currency, but also that there are no other assets, no other valuable things, technologies, services, etc. I think that's impossible because there's always diversity, and some things that are of practical, if not symbolic, value (like basic foods or medicine).
Also, hodling kind of counts as adoption, but if you think about it, it's not much of a contribution without any active use of Bitcoin being involved. Without movement, Bitcoin doesn't have liquidity, and without liquidity, it doesn't have value.

Well to good extent people here are Bitcoin enthusiast but there are still some here for what ever reason especially to earn from bounty or signature campaign, so not everyone here is an enthusiast or a user of Bitcoin.
Also holding is not the only feature of Bitcoin enthusiasm, there people here only for the short term investment goal, and if you ask them about Bitcoin they may tell you it's going to fade off in future.
Everyone has their believe in Bitcoin regardless if they are here on the forum or actually have some Bitcoin in their possession.

Bitcoin does not have a shortage of holders now, anyone who holds benefits more from the network than it benefits from them. And anyone who doesn't hold due to a lack of trust in the network or wishing it gets cheaper than it is, so they can buy at the bottom will wish they had bought earlier in the future.

Everyone buys in at the price that they deserve.

Anyone who contributed actively to this forum is a part of the Bitcoin ecosystem and benefits the network through their efforts.

In my street I am the only one who knows about this forum, I did this research a while ago.
But many of them know about bitcoin, don't really know if they are holding or doing transactions with it

I like your encouragement that we should shun procrastination and invest in the Bitcoin sector if we have the means. I have seen many people who have the means of investing but they keep procrastinating because they want to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper rate. Most of them have missed the opportunity to buy at a cheap rate because the price never got to their target. However, everybody is free to make investment decisions that suit them. But I will always use every available resource to keep buying because Bitcoin has great potential in the future.

How were you able to know that you are the only one who has knowledge about Bitcoin in your neighbourhood? Did you carry out some research to ascertain this fact? Many Bitcoiners prefer to maintain their privacy, so they might not publicise that they own or deal with Bitcoin. It is not everybody who knows about Bitcoin will invest in or hodl Bitcoin. Some people use Bitcoin for payment of goods and services. I am not sure that anyone who has an interest in Bitcoin will not take advantage of its benefits. Bitcoin has proved to be a profitable investment platform, hence all Bitcoiners would like to make a profit from it.    

That figure shows the total number of registered users, and the question is how many of that number are unique users. Statistics say that only 3848 users were active in the last 7 days, and even here it should be taken into account that this number contains a certain number of known and unknown alts.

I think that the forum is visited by a certain number of users as guests, and that they do not necessarily own Bitcoin, and what about all those who are exclusively focused on altcoins and bounty campaigns?

There is some certain thing that we supposed to ignore and some certain things that we are not supposed to talk about concerning cryptocurrency investment and the cryptocurrency holding especially Bitcoin, many people do hold their Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency based on what they have in mind and what is the future plan that is why they hold to their Bitcoin

So it's not everybody that hold Bitcoin or altcoin will come out and start looking for someone to inform to escalate the kind of cryptocurrency or the kind of Bitcoin is holding on his portfolio so everybody cannot start to campaign to kind of amount of bitcoin is holding, I have a brother that his name is called evidence and he has almost five BTC I'm nobody he has told of his crypto life it is just of recent that I know what is Bitcoin that he explained to me and he told me how someone can invest in Bitcoin so without him telling me of total amount of BTC that is in his position I wouldn't have known

Right away I think that the many people have like up to 50 bitcoin 100 Bitcoin but nobody knows about them and they cannot come out and start telling people the amount of BTC the house I think it's secretive life is very important to us because of security purposes even though I have 10,000 BTC I cannot come out and air it out to the public

I can say that the classes of persons who may be willing to invest in Bitcoin today is divided into those who have studied the market for long and are waiting for the halving to happen before they start investing/ HODLing, versus those who have been old investors and have some HODLings, but is waiting for the halving to happen before either buy more BTC or trade some of it during the bull market season after the halving.

Which ever class of investors we have these days, one point to note is that anyone who has interest in BTC or wants to HoDL BTC should have been aware of the halving, and how it might affect the market during this period.
Mass adoption isn't just the aim of BTC right now, it is of the aim to also educate and inform potential investors or users of the best time and seasons to take hold of opportunities that could make one a millionaire.

Thats true in my street alone I guess I'm the only one that knows bitcointalk. But what I am saying is simple why would you be so intrested in mass adoption without having any bitcoin, if bitcoin value increases what does it mean to you as a bitcoin enthusiast. How do you express faith in bitcoin if not by participating and i mean hodling. I can also assure you that not everyone on this forum that talks about bitcoin mass adoption has an investment portfolio or even trades bitcoin. If your not in then why talk about it ?

Why need to hold? there are so many users keep complaining if Bitcoin is no longer a currency, shame to see Bitcoin mostly used as a commodity etc etc.

You're wrong, in this forum there are only 3,587,196 users while the world population is around 8.1 Billion people. Those people who don't have Bitcoin doesn't join in this forum, I won't be surprised if you ask do they know about bitcointalk.org to ten strangers in your country, there's no one say he know about this forum.

Everyone here is a Bitcoin Enthusiast however that doesn't simply make them Bitcoin investor or HODLer. One can have interest in something and they won't be financially invested into that for sure. That's the same case with Bitcoin. People will buy Bitcoin and may sell however HODLing is difficult. Not every Bitcoin Enthusiast can HODL. And they might need to see a full 4 year cycle in front of their eyes before they believe in HODL.

Is there any way you are monitoring total users who holds bitcoin over here?
If Yes then how do you know some people are just talking without even holding and practicing the hodl we all preached about over here because to me i know that there is people who don't usually come to announce what exact amount they have acquired for you know that people are really practicing the hodl and not just praying for the max adoptions instead are secretly buying large volume of bitcoin to prepare themselves for the future. Of course there are people who don't still have the knowledge that investment of 10$ today could worth something very big when bitcoin becomes very scarce and the demand will be high as then, so the best is to hold not just for bull run but holding for decades.

Certainly everyone is hoping for a time when bitcoin would achieve total mass adoption and utility. With every news concerning development of new technologies in the blockchain and bitcoin gaining ground in the world, even now big companies like Blackrock have now gained interest in bitcoin. Meaning that the big players have now seen the same glimpse of light that we saw in bitcoin either as a real valued asset or as a good replacement to fait currency and centralization. And I think that everyone is so hooked up on the next big news of mass adoption without even knowing that this news would only favour one set of bitcoin enthusiast the "hodlers". If I'm not mistaken the total supply of bitcoin cannot exceed a max of 21 million btc, which means that they can only be 21 million whole BTC for the entire world to compete for, this strategy is good because scarcity determines value, but as a bitcoin enthusiast you should also be worried and cautions not to be a mere viewer or commentator of bitcoin history. Just imagine all the total supply of BTC has been mined out even If not all maybe up to 98% of BTC how many of that amount would be in your wallet. Incase you don't know with every news of mass adoption bitcoin continues to gain ground and as many people continue to invest in btc it also adds value, and this would continue to a point where the entire world value is now beign put in bitcoin(this is just a possibility I see) and possibly the billionaires of the next generation would be those with the highest amount of bitcoin in their wallets, and in that same time people would struggle to get even scraps of bitcoin maybe 0.00001 bitcoin a simple satoshi that might even worth a thousand dollars, if you haven't thought so, I think you should start believing that bitcoin really has such potential.

The reason I'm writing this post is to urge everyone and to remind everyone why we are really bitcoin enthusiast. There is no point in praying and speaking about mass adoption if you are not hodling bitcoin, because this same event that would bring huge success to some would also be a catastrophic event to others. And what I mean by catastrophic is the huge regret they are going to face not taking action towards acquiring bitcoin. I know many persons have a million excuses why they haven't started their bitcoin journey yet. But why would you be in this forum and still have such excuses, why are u interested in bitcoins latest news and not acquiring some for yourself?, how do you claim to have faith in bitcoin and not show your faith by taking steps to aquire bitcoin?. What I'm saying i simple don't just be a bitcoin talker also be a bitcoin holder, don't have a the information about bitcoin and there is none in your wallet, stop preaching bitcoin when you don't really believe in it cause if you did then u would have some.
Let every bitcoin enthusiast change their mindset today and join the winning side the bitcoin hodlers.
As for me I was once a bitcoin talker but right now I've taken my stand amongst the hodlers. I've taken my first step to aquire my first 10$ worth of bitcoin, I'm not earning much but I plan to consistently invest in Bitcoin so incase bitcoin enters its next phase of bull run, I would also run with it. Don't procrastinate this year. Start Hodling.

I'm not saying anyone should go on start telling people about how much bitcoin they have accumulated, all I'm saying is start your own bitcoin journey if you haven't, stop praying for good things when your not planning on beign a partaker
