you only lost when you sell it. i would not sell if the price is lower than my bought price, just being patient
I started to panic now, I just bought some altcoin because I thought the price was low enough, the price dropped again until I suffered a 50% loss, what should I do now ? sell or keep hold again ? or I do have to buy more coins and expect the price to go up ?
It's so hard to be patient and don't panic. Especially when you bought around 16000. C'mon BTC. I can understand bad news but why now we see dump? And predictions are around 3900-4490... I'm shocked.
It's hard, but what a choice you have, sell everything now at such low prices, or overcome yourself and in time you will make a profit when bitcoin and altcoyines will again begin to grow in value.

If you were entering with the target of 30,000 dollars for 1 bitcoin with the investment horizon of 1 year. Then what's the point of panicking?

I think its not neccesary to do panic right now, Btc cant go always just up if it ll be like that it wouldnt be trading it would be profit platfrom. So be patient and wait moving of btc it is very soon.
At today's market the persons or community finally into crypto has slowly increased. But these persons have became investors yet so unknowledgeable. These weak hands or participating in panic selling are investors which has insufficient learnings about the cryptocurrency. We should always remember at all times that when you invest, you should study, research or make some investigation about where will you put your money in. At this case, when you are in the cryptocurrency, price fluctations are very normal. No market has always become on the point of increasing without any even slight or small decrease in the market.
The knowledegable persons and experts should lend sometimes a hand for those who are unequipped to also produce better investors rather than weak hands.

I also think that you do not need to sell now. Do not panic. This from us just jute those who are sowing this panic. Just need to wait a little. The market is cyclical and soon the price growth should begin.

I agreed, please don’t panic sell. Panic selling is not helping for the market of cryptocurrencies and it can have a low value in marketing. For me, it is time buy more altcoins or bitcoin to have a greater profits in the future and it will have a good value in the future. Panic selling is not helping the marketing of cryptocurrency and also you. You will have a negative profits if you sell your coins in a low value and you can lose money if you sell your coin. The better decision is to buy more altcoins or bitcoin and hold it until the prices will increases again.

although we should not panic but the fact, we don't want to see the price is suddenly down too deep like today and some of us trying to sell their bitcoin while they getting lose of their money. I see that people doing fast selling before the price get deeper than now and they expecting to buy at lower price. but I really like with the calculation from the OP and I think we can use this as our guide to cover our lose so far and I think it will reduces our average entry point.

In the world of crypto currency, the worst thing which you do to yourself is to get panic especially at the time when the market value is falling down. Getting panic actually makes you suffer in a way that you lose control over your emotions and you make decision on which you later on regret in your life. It is better not to do such kind of thing especially when your money is at the stake.
Of course, you will be afraid losing your money, but just keep your head clear This is one of the ways of changing your average entry price but would really be hard to convince yourself on investing even more because of the panic that price dips do give into you. If you are trading on swings then this would be applicable but you should really be a risk taker since price movements won't really be a guarantee that it would go on what you did expect.
