Could you name a single pool which calculate per hash rate?

As far as I've seen, most pools use the amount of shares one has submitted divided by the total amount of shares needed to solve the block.

Your calculation, based on what you've written here - seems totally off.

You are 100% correct, and as i said i am averaging due to the mh/s i put out but im also assuming that (unless for some reason my graphics card is highly inneficient and produced 50% stale shares) other peoples shares submitted will also be in line with the hashrate they produce to get my value.

Having the percentage of mh/s i had is directly linked to the shares i produce, even if it half of what i calculated, theres still a massive discrepancy - but liek you said, hopefully Jim will be along to clarify.

So my 810mh/s was 5% of the pools hashrate at the time 5% of 50 BTC was 2.5 BTC - lets say my card magically turned itself off for 50% of that, it would still be 1.25 BTC - there is no way in hell, unless the pool didnt recognise i was subitting shares that i would ever get 0.2BTC.

I presume something has gone wrong calcuation wise as instant payout is disabled due to "payout error" on the site, at a guess, it is he distributed, as he said the block earnings manually by himself when he got excited at the 3rd block rolling in, i can only assume that he distributed evely to the people hashing at that time.

Why are you even basing your calculations on your supposed hashrate? It's all about the shares of work contributed.

If you're uncertain that the calculations are correct - I'm fully confident jine will take a look and fetch information on how many shares you contributed and show you the calculation.

There will be better clarity as soon as the new miner overview is done, which will show you how many shares you've contributed and all other kinds of statistics.

Im basing it on every other pool ive mined on, what my hashrate has been for well over a month now and what my client is reporting - Also the amount of shares i have contributed at the time we found the second block....and also the stats on the site itself - enough for you?

Even if my calculations are rounded heavily down, i recieved 0.2btc instead of over 2BTC...

If you have the number of shares submitted use that vs. the hash rate since you should be able to calculate it spot on since you know for sure it (should) be (your shares / total shares) * 50BTC

So are you happy with your reward after all Slasklitta?

And yes, think about the "lion's share" when joining big pools. Someone should make like a logarithmic chart with payout efficiency using Your hashrate / pool hashrate. This could help all miners orient themselves in joining the most efficient pools based on the round frequency and their personal performance.

Website back up and first payout received!

Second block done soon @ 16GHash/s Cheesy

In fact, scratch what i just said, something fishy is going on - Second block was found when we had 16GH/s - im running 810mh/s

16000 / 810 = 19.75

50BTC / 19.75 = 2.53BTC

Have i got my calculations wrong? how come i got paid 0.2 odd BTC for it? Have you actaully paid all the people that have joined AFTER we completed the second block? - I smy suspicion correct that you dont actually know whos contributed what over a time period? hence why there is no estimated bounty etc

I must announce that finally the Hashrate (estimated) field in my profile works correctly and is not 10-20% lower than what my client shows.

Also, if any other miners are having doubts about joining, just join with a little bit of hashrate (or all if all you have is little), I got more in a single 13 hours block than I did in a day on another pool. While the pool hashrate is small, smaller contributions are rewarded significantly better compared to contributions in other pools.

Whereas i have experienced the opposite, i have been paid 0.5btc for 2 blocks worth of shares, on such a small pool (im also number 18 in the top shares list) bearing in mind we were only at 17gh/s when the second block was done Sad

I can only assume that there is a couple of people on here with massive mining rigs getting the most of the bounty Sad

Easily remedied with 3 fields.

Estimated Earnings for Current Round - Pretty obvious.
Unconfirmed Earnings - Basically, total earnings from blocks that haven't had a chance to mature yet.
Confirmed Earnings - Total earnings from solved blocks that have met the 120 confirmation maturity and been paid for.

Then allow users to pay out from their Confirmed Earnings when they have X amount, where X can either be a static amount set by the pool to avoid transaction spam and excessive fees, or an amount set by the user so the pool will automatically pay them when they have reached an amount they are comfortable with cashing out.

I'm number 57 out of 295 users as far as shares submitted (1958 shares submitted) and it still shows 0.00000000 BTC

I'm hoping that as more blocks are solved it will show something, but to ease the minds of your workers you should really show "Estimated BTC Earned This Round" so people don't keep staring at 0 BTC for hours and hours

'Estimated balance based on your amount of shares on the current block that we're working on' has been suggested earlier, and might pop up. It's on the projects todo list. You have to understand that there are a lot of things being worked on.

I do not personally like this, since it brings false hopes. And just watching this thread, there's very few who actually understand or have a few clues on how things work. Maybe it'll ease their minds, maybe it'll piss them off seeing the estimation go away without the balance updating.

You are correct in that it takes a while before you'll see your balance update. The pool must first solve a block, then wait for it to actually bring in spendable cash.

This is currently a small pool - which means there's no margins or buffers. I would guess the larger pools have buffers, so that they can have an even more "realtime" instant payout.

is relaxing to watch a growing number even if you cant cash it yet

Is it possible, that DDoses happened, can be related to some errors in design of some miners? I  am have feeling that Phoenix, when he can get answer from server immediately, starts hummer on pool with rate of ~20/sec, that make things worse. Can anybody share their opinion ?

Will there be any option for auto-payout at a determined amount of btc?
Also will there be a btc count from last 24hs?

I think it's a rounding error. A pure code-wise error that is. Nothing that can't be solved.

Could you please e-mail us with the following information.
Please be as specific as you can.

1) What did you do when the balance updated to a negative amount?
2) How much did your account have before the payout?
3) How much of the payout did you receive?
4) How much should have been left on the account?
5) How much is actually left on the account? (negative amount)

I'll work it out tomorrow, for now - payouts are temporary disabled due to this error.
Please follow us on twitter for latest updates.

Regards, Jim

Both first and second block have been credited to users.
The second block by me, in joy, while seeing the third block in the transaction list Smiley

The next payout will be automatic as it should be, when the third block (127560) reaches mature level (120 confirmations)

Regards, Jim
