We'll make real leaps forward in the future, today is calm water. That doesn't means that it's still water.
There are developments taking place and we should have some progress soon.
First thing to come will be a multi pool. Other developments are being researched...
I thank you again for your patience dreamers. Some things just take time...

Persistence turnsfailure into xemplary achievement
The 105 to 109 was the number of votes by the way. It's position is 280 on the list, above catedoge and below cashcoin. Have just put it in position 280 with 110 votes.

Just over a day ago I voted up dreamcoin from 105 to 107. On mintpal. Well done to the one or two people or took it to 109. Hey... I don't yet own any DRMs and am voting it up. How about you! I like the feel of this community guys, keep up the positivity.

No worries.
Things just aren't adding up for me on that front. Besides that I don't think that any node based system is a good idea. Whether it be Dark or XC either way I see them both open to exploitation and both depend on high volume traffic to be remotely effective on top of opening anybody on the network to federal investigation if by chance a transaction used for illegal purposes passed through their wallet. Just all around to messy for my liking...

Then you are going to love Cloakcoin's approach.  They launch in a little over an hour and are saying that they will utilize exchanges to anonymize their coin.  Not too much information on it yet though...the ANN was posted yesterday.

Personally...I am not a huge proponent of anonymity.  I think that the next big things will be Maidsafe, Ethereum et cetera.  DAC's seem fun too...
That's the same thing mastiff is proposing with coin recycling That's an even worse idea than most That's to say they guarantee an exchange...
Too shady

https://twitter.com/ZerocoinProject  They have a Bitcoin dev working with them on Zerocash.

I didn't say that Zerocash wasn't stout...I think it'll be big.  It's just going to take awhile for it to be ready.

Also if you can explain what atcsecure paid loljosh for If it wasn't to make a coin that is another thing that doesn't add up Plus it is easy to trace transactions with XC

I don't know what that transaction consisted of.  No one knows but the two involved.  That said...Dan stated that loljosh is not part of the dev team and had nothing to do with the Xcode.  Dan stated that the test release was still buggy and that there is more work to be done.  Whether it will be truly anonymous is questionable.  My only point was that Xcoin is probably not a scam coin.  I never implied that it was ready or would be ready for DRM...

Outside of that last post. The masternode metod and Xnode methods are flawed by design.

Besides asking for a fee to run a node the concepts they use for mixing just is not anonymous and easily traceable. They do not truly create an anoymous transaction and are open to exploitation.

We have already seen this with Dark and the masternodes. I feel it's just a matter of time with Xnodes. Plus Xnodes require a 1000 coin bank in a node that cannot be staked which by design is not far off of what pinkcoin's mixer proposes . Then you have mastiff that is declaring coin recycling. None of which are reliable methods of achieving anonymity.
Mixers are old hat and bring up a whole array of other issues. From what i understand Silkroad laundered coins through mixers and transactions were still able to be traced...

I'm not saying that there is no answer i just don't believe the ones that are on the table are viable options or real answers.
Even ring signatures has an issue with bloat that will ultimately lead to an unusable coin. Zerocash is really the only option presented that doesn't place these types of concerns out there and fortunately their team isn't trying to play into the hype and rush a half baked idea out.

I've also been paying close attention to that coin...and the issue with loljosh is not really an issue.  There is no way that loljosh has been creating the coin code.  The dev, Dan Metcalf, has stout credentials - https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=42275474&authType=NAME_SEARCH&authToken=Mj7i&locale=en_US&srchid=1462531541401640209839&srchindex=5&srchtotal=56&trk=vsrp_people_res_name&trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A1462531541401640209839%2CVSRPtargetId%3A42275474%2CVSRPcmpt%3Aprimary - and after the Fedora coin debacle pushed through a test version of his Xnode wallet which has been documented here -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uTgnZAFuNU&feature=youtu.be

The X nodes are real and the new wallet goes live tonight...though I am unsure if the completed product is still slated for 3 weeks from now.

Zerocoin is not being developed by the original team and won't be unless someone picks up the helm.  Zerocash is likely 5-6 months away...

Hello Dreamers.

I wanted to address some concerns so people know I am not just dragging my feet, and that I am instead performing acts of due diligence before jumping into anything.
I already had concerns with the methodology laid out by both dark and XC.
After looking deeper into XC I'm feeling the need to be even more leery.
On the surface it would appear the lead developer is atcsecure, but after further investigation there is doubt that he is the coder of the coin.
This is the trust record of atcsecure https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=88818 meaning who he has given trust to.
If you notice his one given trust is for loljosh. A known serial coin coder. This leaves me with the question what would someone linked to homeland security have a coin developed promising anonymity be up to? These are simply my own personal questions, as i have others as well. These are not accusations. These are questions which make me want to further watch the unfolding events before committing to any implementation of these into our coin.
For those of you that do not know who loljosh is. He has been linked to Sync, Cinni, and WC also.

I would truly like to wait to see what the zerocoin/cash team puts forward, as I agree with their work ethic of not rushing something to market simply to profit off of hype.
This is commendable and deserves the highest respect.

Please do further research yourself on what I have stated above.
I am not trying to create any FUD. I am skeptical and approaching this stage of development with caution.

CRYptcoin  will implement XC anon feature : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=618377.340

I was reading up on that as well. I will look at the code also. No promises at this point however. I am still skeptical of their method for anonymity.

There must be a wallet for linux. I have raspberry pi for stake, but I can't compile it.

Do you mean that you have tried to compile from the source,
but it didn't work?

I would prefer to have things ready for public beta before ever announcing them.
I do hope this makes sense as previously stated I do not wish for Dream to be a source of anxiety. That is not a dream that is a nightmare.

johnny

I SHOULD REPORT THIS GUY TO ADMIN!
oh God, the best Dev in BTCtalk, really

others still focusing on how to pump their coin, dump their coin, then throw it away
its that easy to make a new Coin, a new plan, a new SCAM!

this one, focusing on how to make this coin become the best of the best
although... he's not SuperCoder or genius with a BigBrain like the rest of DEVS in this forum Cheesy

btw, keep up the good work sir, if by any chance i can help, just PM me sir
i'd love to sir  Grin
