There are some rules to regulate it, but it is not forbidden. Becoming an influencer or sponsored player is probably also a dream of many players, but the market seems already oversaturated right now. You got a lot of popular streamers that get more than 100k views on every video they upload on youtube.
There's implemented rules to follow if you wanted to continue your video upload,
Not complying will result in removing your uploads to the point that your account will be banned, and yes, what you have said
is true, there are lots of streamers who have the same niche.
It also difficult to compete with those streamers who can bring huge numbers of audiences to watch their videos.
market is quite saturated but there's always room for growth and for new players who are creative to join the space, it's a matter of finding what you can do in a different and unique way
regarding regulations, it can get tricky, but went looking for it and google is open for it, interesting
if anybody wants to check, they just abide by local laws and ask for a specific certification before allowing you to use adwords
