I don't know why these Western women want to work in Muslim nations such as Qatar. The women are always treated as sex objects there. If someone rapes you, then it is your fault. This. People are nuts to go to countries like that. The trouble is they are greedy and are attracted to the tax free earnings - but there is always a cost, and it is better to pay taxes in a place with the rule of law and fair courts, then to try to evade taxes in a place without any protections.

Yeah... she was given a one-year suspended sentence and will be deported to the Netherlands in the next few days. She was also fined 3,000 Qatari Riyals (equivalent to $823) for indulging in "fornification". Meanwhile, the news is that the perpetrator (an Arab named Omar Abdullah al-Hasan) has also avoided the jail term. He will be deported to Syria.
The perpetrator got 140 whiplashes as a punishment.
I wonder if people do actually survive such a punishment.

as good people, we are really sick and tired of these middle eastern countries' bad treatment over women. this dutch woman is a victim of a horrible rape act but she is found quilty because of being raped. Muslim world is going nuts day by day so western countries must do as soon as possible. i am so sorry for this poor woman.
