You have got to be out of your mind to travel to these places as a western woman, you could safely bet on her being either raped or murdered.
I do find it ridiculous that anyone goes to these countries and then wonders why they end up in jail, they just don't understand how bad those places are and how terrible that religion is.
So an ignorant dutch woman has travelled to one of these islamic shit holes with her delusions of equality, broken the law (adultery: by being alone with a man she is not married to) gotten herself raped and is now complaining?

This is absolutely unbelievable!! we can only hope that this woman, a victim of not only her attacker but of a legal system that can only be characterized as medieval and out of date, will be released and allowed to return to her family.
Qatar is the richest country in the world (when per capita GDP is taken into account) and they have huge investments in the Netherlands. A number of the Dutch politicians are on their payroll. That means that the Dutch authorities are going to lock horns with their Qatari counterparts over this issue. She will be released from the prison after 7 or 8 months.

I don't know why these Western women want to work in Muslim nations such as Qatar. The women are always treated as sex objects there. If someone rapes you, then it is your fault. For the sake of higher salary/income that's why many people use to sacrifice their safetiness. Many people do this sacrifices just to earn big amount of salaries, it is not being greedy It is because there are no available work that pays a lot better than this county. Thats why they grab the chance.
Salary might have played a part in deciding to work in Qatar. To tell the truth, even I would seriously consider a job option from a high risk country such as Somalia, Afghanistan or Iraq, if my potential employers are willing to give me a 400% or 500% hike.
