I'll buy a DVC bag! Between spending on tokens and useless coins, I'll spend on something of history and value! Yes, DVC has value, an old coin and with history, moreover, it has 15 billion of supply, it's inflationary, but as some people argued above, turning 1024 DVC into 1 GDVC would not be bad! People complain about the lack of liquidity for the BTC, if DVC has the basics of the BTC, why could not this be one of the pleasant solutions?
The exchanges list BTC without charging fees, the same has to be for DVC!

DVC is a better investment than about 97% of the ICOs out there.

Fees
-----

There is a 4 BTC listing fee for new coin additions to the first base market. E.g., COIN/BTC.

There is an further 1 BTC for each optional additional base market listing, for example COIN/ETH market.

There is a 1 BTC fee charge for coin swap to be coordinate on CoinExchange. Failure to inform us of a swap will result in immediate delisting.

The listing fee also includes two maintenance and / or upgrades by our technicians per year. Any additional maintenance or upgrades will incur a 0.5 BTC each.

I would also like to add that the bounty regarding the SMF forum was completed with steps two and three. I was not able to create an internal email system other than PM. But I did create black lists and the ability to create and administer forum admin and mods. Just sayin'.

I felt rather put off after working the issues, adding the appropriate tweeks and then being told that the bounty was not able to be applied because I had skipped over the email system. It seems like with all that work that someone with more experience could come in and adjust the email option

Did you publish your work, Microcoin jxk? The first part of the bounty was published by me on DevTome, yet not sure where the second (and third) parts could be found. It would be nice to have the package bundled.

First Part of Bounty:
http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=smf_incoming_email_capability

Once my wallet is online again we can discuss a reward via PM.

I want to give authority to Novacadian to hand out up to 12 shares per round to help Steemit or save it from corruption.

Novacadian agreed to do this. If Novacadian becomes corrupt and starts giving away shares for no reason, which I do not expect at all, then Novacadian would lose the share authority. Any objections?

Thank you, Unthinkingbit. That will be a great help with inroads on the steem blockchain at the moment.

Over the last few weeks a bounty idea has been forming. The water has been tested to get some feedback about its viability. But first allow me to explain the issue it is meant to address.

There is, at present, no distinction between steem which is generated through the upvoting of carbon based lifeforms and that generated by the upvoting of software bots. Voting bots are somewhat of a wedge issue in the steem community. It is my feeling that by fostering a solution which all parties feel happy with could help our @devcoin witness presence in the community. It seems what is needed is a decentralized anonymous CAPCHA system. Just to have the distinction would help as SMT distributors come on stream in the next steem fork. They may choose to only tokenize rewards for real proof of brain upvotes for example.

One idea which has been used by me to sell the idea a bit, is to compare bot generated steem as counterfeit steem. This seems to have gotten some traction even among top twenty witnesses.

The counterfeit idea was proposed in the following steem posting:

https://steemit.com/steem-network/@novacadian/where-is-the-trust-in-proof-of-brain-mining

That posting was followed up with one explaining the idea of a decentralized anonymous CAPCHA system. That was proposed in the following steem posting:

https://steemit.com/steem/@novacadian/a-decentralized-capcha-annonymous-proof-of-brain-verification

The above posting received some good feedback in the comments about the practicality of the project and how one may approach it. It certainly was not ruled out altogether.

It seemed like a good time to present this conversation to the DevCoin Community in the hope of getting feedback about the project and possible pitfalls along the way.

Once a better handle is had on a good approach then a bounty proposal shall be written up and posted to this link.

Feel free to jump into the discussions on the steem blockchain in the comments of the postings mentioned above or PM me on this forum if you find the project of interest and have an approach in mind.

Thanks!

You need to (re)build a community before starting any voting action.
Voted though, even know I hold no DVC.

The price there is 1 sat, but in other places they point 1/3 sat! It would be interesting a couple DVC/DOGE.

Where's that? I wouldn't mind getting a little bit if the price was right and if there was any development roadmap.

Devcoin (DVC) is listed at Freiexchange and Bisq.Network.
Both of these exchanges have a minimum possible trading price of 0.00000001 BTC = 1 DVC

It seems that mining DVC is centralized! What are the interesting ways to get this old coin besides buying at Freiexchange! The price there is 1 sat, but in other places they point 1/3 sat! It would be interesting a couple DVC/DOGE.

What are the other places that DVC can be bought or sold? They go for 1 Satoshi on Frei Exchange because that's the lowest anything can go for--they don't let you go beyond the 8th decimal place.

Suddenly, DVC was once again remembered by the community! What's going on here? There is no volume on Freiexchange! Why did you disappear from the coinmarketcap? Are they discussing a different form of circulating, but this was not previously established? A Masternodes could do it decrease?

Let's see, I've send you a .swf file because it's really light, but of course it won't be the final format file. The other option was to send you a video file from near 1GB, instead of this 24kb file. Flash is the software I use, actionscript is the language I use, but that does not mean that you will need a propietary viewer. I think you did not get what is open source and what is flash. I am not telling that you'll need to have installed Flash in order to see the video. You asked me for a sample of the video and I showed that.

Fuck BlackRock
Why are blocks minting only 12.5 coins and then sending them off to Bitcoin where they are incorrectly classified as newly generated coins? Smiley

Would love to hear an answer.  Here's a link to what I mean:

I am having a difficult time finding an example where an exchange is doing this for another coin.  Can you help to find an example?

I vaguely recall seeing that with some coin, but that was probably years ago, when I was into trading cryptos.

Currently, there's IOTA, widely traded in millions (MIOTA). From other solutions, on exchange called CoinFalcon, whenever prices get close to 1 sat, they would just increase number of decimal spaces for bitcoin. i.e. in KIN-BTC pair, BTC has 10 spaces after decimal. That could also work for DVC.

I'm pretty sure it's not a rocket science to denominate basic unit to "kDVC" (1,000 DVC), it's all down to whether exchange operator is willing to do that.

On the subject of new exchanges, have you consider YoBit? If the info on their website is still up-to-date, they charge 0.1 btc for premium listing: https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/

I'd be in favor of doing either kDVC (one unit = 1,000 DVC) or going down to the tenth decimal place. Honestly, I'd prefer to stick with BTC/DVC for my own trading, so would welcome either one of those solutions over getting into other base coin markets. But, ultimately it's whatever works.

I do not recommend having anything to do with Yobit. Their support for developers is terrible. DNotes recently did a hard fork to its version 2.0, complete with a one to one swap of old coins to new coins. Yobit was one of the exchanges supporting the old version. Despite numerous efforts to reach Yobit support, the DNotes team never got an answer, and as far as I know, the "DNotes" trading on Yobit is still the old chain--three months after the hard fork! It got so bad that the DNotes team has had to put out multiple warnings that coins purchased on Yobit are not eligible for the swap, and even then, some still miss them and end up as bagholders. It wouldn't take much for Yobit to delist the old coin and upgrade to the new coin, but they won't do either one. Trust me, DVC doesn't need that headache, especially as I'm sure it's only a matter of time before DVC will upgrade to some more current version and have a hard fork of its own.
