I'm worried that my wallet got stuck on block 303999
Though in http://italyiimp.com/explorer it is shown that already the block 305335

If I delete and reload block chain, then on block 303999 I have this error:
Code:
In receiver.h, getIsSufficientAmount rejected the addresses or amounts.
For the given:
Height: 304000
Share: 4500000000000
Step: 4000
The expected addresses are:
The receiverMap shows that they should get 0 coins
The shares per address however are set to 4500000000000
15MZRa1cPUVChs6XpzyAfGox5nvPVpSvok

The given addresses are:
1KZKMYixw4PDtu5ZbKqrahRWeAgputuVoc

The given amounts are:
4500000000000

I have all receiver files:
Code:
.devcoin/receiver# ls
charity            receiver_12.csv  receiver_17.csv  receiver_21.csv  receiver_26.csv  receiver_30.csv  receiver_35.csv  receiver_3.csv   receiver_44.csv  receiver_49.csv  receiver_53.csv  receiver_58.csv  receiver_62.csv  receiver_67.csv  receiver_71.csv  receiver_76.csv

I added receiver_77.csv from git: //github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity.git, but the synchronization stops at block 303999.
Code:
devcoind getinfo
{
    "version" : 80501,
    "protocolversion" : 70001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,

    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "errors" : ""
}
As if someone made their receiver_77.csv before that official receiver_77.csv posted to the git: //github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity.zhit and the chain goes on an incomprehensible fork

I before synchronization completely delete the block chain, leave only the devcoin.conf and files in the directory ~/.devcoin/ receiver
Here are all the peers of my wallet:

Has anyone tried to synchronize blocks from scratch lately?
I think that there is a problem in the DVC network.

How about bisq? It's the only one I trust actually, apart from localbitcoins of course, but we can't list it there.

More info about Bisq and how to list a new coin there: https://github.com/bisq-network/docs/blob/master/exchange/howto/list-token.adoc

I think it is just a general clause to try cover themselves should the blockchain fork they want no responsibility for funds lost through a fork or network going wrong.  The actual wording for who can submit a coin is open ended:

"If you are a developer or official representative of cryptocurrency asset, you can add this asset to Livecoin."

So a non developer can submit the application and thus the last clause is invalid? Tongue

I feel it is more them saying if u submit a coin and it is not updated to  avoid security issues or forks and the exchange looses funds then you are responsible for not informing the exchange to update the code or providing the updated code with security patches applied as and when... they want to cover themselves listing any coins that are just going to be under developed and left potentially leaving security risks on their serveres running the exchanges etc...

Anyway I sent them in an application and got this as a reply:

04.12.2017 09:44
Hello.
Unfortunately, this year we no longer accept new assets.

...so maybe try in the new year? or should we look around for other possible listings?

Fuzzybear
Thanks FuzzyBear for the information.

I see only one tough problem with what they ask:

..
In case of losing clients' funds due to forks or technical / security issues with block chain or node, you as developer will bear financial responsibility.

This is open ended, and could wipe out anyone. It is unreasonable, and I don't think any developer has ever given out money if there was a problem in their code. Is that language in the application for other exchanges?

Off topic but please read:

"US Senate Moves to Criminalize Non-Disclosure of Cryptocurrency Ownership"

https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-senate-moves-to-criminalize-non-disclosure-of-cryptocurrency-ownership

Stand up and be heard! Stop this before it starts or we will all suffer the loss. Write, call, blog, post yell and scream. This must never see the light of day. For those of you in the US, it goes against every principle we believe in. Our country was founded on principles diametrically opposed to this proposed law.

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist."

"Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

"Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew."

"Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

I simply can't stress how important it is to stop this nonsense. We are no better than the Nazi's if we enact this. Even if you are NOT in the US, this will effect you in due time if enacted. Make your voices heard!

So the requirements for a listing of devcoin on their site is as follows:

########################################################

If you are a developer or official representative of cryptocurrency asset, you can add this asset to Livecoin. We offer a few options to list a new asset, please contact us via email .

Don't forget to provide the following when you request listing:
1) link to an official git of your node
2) link to an official website
3) link to block chain which must working properly
4) name of asset and trading symbol

By applying a request to add an asset to Livecoin, you as developer agree to report of technical issues with your cryptocurrency, node, block explorer etc. You also agree to notify us of all kind of forks. In case of losing clients' funds due to forks or technical / security issues with block chain or node, you as developer will bear financial responsibility.

Timeline for listing of new asset depends on agreements reached. The shortest term is 1 week.

########################################################

So it seems the person requesting the listing takes responsibility for the code and blockchain.. prob just a legal cover themselves but from the community side should be presented from the lead developer of devcoin or someone willing to take on that role?

answers to the questions would be as follows? please feel free to correct or update:

1) https://github.com/coinzen/devcoin ??
2) http://devcoin.org/
3) https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dvc/
4) Devcoin (DVC)

Regarding official repo... I have a fork of the coinzen on my account here https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/devcoin-1 but I also have another fork from knotwork's cherry picked repo https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/devcoin I am concerned at the ownership of the coinzen repo as the forum coinzen has now long gone.  I dont mind hosting the official repo but would like to clear up the old one if not needed etc.

Useful link to their official bitcointalk thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/livecoinnet-buysellexchangenew-pairsrstbtc-ledubtc-tgamebtc-1151791
I did a little look around also and seemed few people worried this a scam site and complaining of slow transactions and crediting to accounts etc but all seem eventually resolved.  The account LiveCoin on here seems very active and new listsing of coins on site common and they seem to reply to most if not all posts in thier thread, again a good sign Smiley Just dont want this to turn out to be another vircurex or coingather etc....

most exchanges you have to pay to get listed on, but don't think so with livecoin

Fastcoin is on livecoin and they seem pretty good and there's a usd market for fst and others
this would be great for devcoin

developer has to apply
https://www.livecoin.net/en/coin-listing

We need exchanges that list devcoin. Could someone please volunteer to get exchanges to list devcoin, doing whatever application is necessary and giving them whatever help they need?

coingather.com has been down a few days, they are silent on twitter  Huh

Any other exchange supporting Devcoin? Otherwise I have good news Tongue

nope not as far as know
bastards at coingather definitely done a runner by the look
https://news.bitcoin.com/coingather-exchange-has-been-offline-for-days-and-no-one-knows-why/

lost some devcoin and 1 ltc

look in comments, many others lost a LOT

a ton of devcoin was on that exchange and will be dumped cheap when we get a new exchange, which is good news i guess!
or may be gone forever

we really need donate buttons and some bounty lists rather than just huge amounts going to soo-so writers on the wiki etc
there are tens of millions of bloggers, online publishers, musicians etc on the web
more
devcoin in many ways is far better designed and more appropriate than btc and enough coins without silly amounts like ripple which is the ultimate shitcoin

few tools like donate button that works or better still that widget to pay, devcoin used to be on is it coiningy or something? they removed but think devcoin paid to be on there

as soon as such huge amounts stop being given to these average posters etc, you could list a fund like 50k devcoin to first mainstream publisher to accept, 50k to big blogger, 50k (or smaller amounts) to first registered charity to accept and so on, do it for a month

whats the good news?

Thanks for the heads up. That is not a good sign when a site goes down with no explanation. It's especially rough on those who have standing market orders (read, funds held on the exchange).

One practice I do (mostly) is that when I want to trade coins and I'm getting ready to send them to the exchange, I first log in to the exchange and check the deposit address. It's not that I can't have my wallets "remember" various exchanges' deposit addresses. It's that before I send in a bunch more coins I want to make sure the exchange is still there.

Good work.

Do I understand correctly from this that the concept of merged mining is a thing of the past?
