Agree. In any kinds of investment, investors will have to do an extensive research. In crypto, the importance of doing our own research even doubles, as crypto is a new investment and technology arena.
On your last point, I also want to add that if we want to help crypto to flourish healthily, a proper DYOR will make people trust us, because the more investors are critical, the less scam ICOs will be. It's just a natural selection, in which bad ICOs will eventually perish, IMHO.

I think natural selection is jjust the best way to define been careful
we need to make right decisions which wil ensure all fake and bad icos perish without any investors.

So we need to urge all to always make research about everything.

Do your own research!!!
We can't even make enough emphasis on this. It's inportant that you carry out your own research, if not, you would only be relying on other people's ideas and you do not even know if that's true enough. A lot of people have bad ideas or opinions about crypto because of wrong information that they have gotten from other people. So it's of essence that you do your own research so you know how every thing works for yourself.

You should know that it's easier said than done. Of course all investors know that they need to check carefully before investing in any project but there are so many investors lost their money because of investing in scam projects. It's really hard to find out scam project nowaday cause scammers are improving their scam skills the same as investors improving their investing skills

Is a classic advice but it is always good to have a reminder for those who make a bad move and then procede to blame the ICO. You have to spend some time learning about the projects, the team,... not everything out there is good.

Thought you are preferring or talking about trading matter since you do mention about candles and buying up things but in the end you do mention about scam ICO. DYOR or Do your own research would always be suggested in all means either you do invest or involving your things that do relates with profitability and involves money. Anything has risk and if you are just careless enough to neglect even it is already been obvious then you are just totally throwing off your money into the air.

A thorough research should be done by every Crypto investor before investing on any coin weather the coin has made it to the coin market cap or not. There are lots of coins on the CAP. When proper research is done before investing, then one will mostly be buying potential coins.

Many people do not have a good knowledge of how cryptocurrency works and therefore call it fraud. While many think it's some kind of ponzi scheme where you put in some amount of money and expect a certain percentage after a period of time. wish they can do a proper research or pay for training, they would get it right.

Yes you are right
Most experts are paid to cause fud or fomo in the crypto world
And there is need to be careful and not fall

And that should not be a question or to be thought twice.
Any new crypro should be researched before investing in it. Deep research if you have to.

Do not go with the hype. Not just because a lot of people are joining then you will get sucked with it. Make your own move and do not rely on just gossips and social media hype.

Happens always and still a project can fall. Why? Whales taking over and selling after listing.

Could not agree with you more. A lot of people just want to get rich in an instant without doing anything. People should do their part also.

Yes I think getting rich in such a small time frame is why they invest blindly into any project that comes to mind or flashes through their emails

We need to get focused and ensure to research before embarking on anything at all
