Many companies have these suggestion areas for customers to vent and nothing ever changes.  Some companies take these very serious and only a few similar requests are needed to get them to give real weight to the request...  Assuming we all just write a short and sweet request in our own words to these companies, I don't see any harm or bot like reception.

Exactly it's not like I said "Copy and paste this message and email to this email address"

HAhaha, I feel like this thread is going to turn this forum into a bot of spammers.  I don't think this is the best way to approach it.  Mass spamming different companies.  How about making emails with more substance, like offering bitcoins for their service, actually asking to buy sommething, instead of just suggesting?

Sounds like you didn't read the first post I already stated that arguments should be presented with eloquence The forum will only become spammers if they follow your lead in not reading before joining in

Great idea! I know English writers will be fairly easy to get. But I'm up for the job.

We need as many people that can speak English as possible I know other languages matter but if we want to get media outlets to mention the companies we get then we should focus on the western world at first Not completely just mostly at first

Good idea.

Thanks Smiley

@Everyone also remember some companies have never heard of Bitpay but if they see it enough times they may finally click the link So send them bitpay links and short descriptions.

And remember to print screen replies to this thread so we can discuss

Family dollar they already make money where they should be loosing money If anyone can make Bitcoin work for a real store they can
http://corporate.familydollar.com/pages/contactus.aspx

Walmart, and we could suggest that they give all extra earnings to employees They need a PR stunt like this now.
https://corporate.walmart.com/contact-us/store-corporate-feedback

1-800-Contacts is already an online shop I'm sure they hear about coins all the time in articles
http://www.1800contacts.com/contactus

Apple, I know it's not likely but if they started accepting BTC it would change everything

Here is the Comedy Central programming contact. If we go through and pick "Tosh.0" and say "Why can't I buy Tosh shirts with Bitcoins?!?!" and "Why can't I but a Daily Show Beer Koozie with my coin!!!" eventually they would start accepting them.

Then say the Tosh.0 store started accepting coins he would say on TV "Go buy things at our online shop which in now accepting Bitcoin" at the end of an episode.

Just BTW "@Midnight" is a techy show on CC that still has not mentioned Bitcoins. It comes back on the air Jan 6th.

I know it doesn't seem like it but a single email can make a big difference if an idea is presented with eloquence

I propose we band together to form a loose knit organization based here in this thread and what we will do is send emails to different companies to ask them to start accepting bitcoin. If we can get to be 100-1000 strong then we can really start changing things.

Just like when moms come together about things and write letters but we aren't asking anyone to drop a product, we are asking them to start earning more money. And if people on Bitcointalk won't do this... Who will?

First suggestions:

i'm actually up for this, but first we need at least 100-200 strong team for them to notice.

Agreed, it will take tons of emails for them to actually care But one vote can make a difference and more so when you get to add a personal message

For bitcoin to be profitable in a ecommerce world it needs to be at a constant exchange rate.

Say amazon sell a laptop for 250.

Your send them 0.2828 BTC. Now 1 hour later BTC price drops $100, now amazon is losing money because they will only get 150 for that 0.2828 BTC. The same can go the other way, price rises and they make a bigger profit.

isn't there a payment processor than instantly liquidates a coin for a merchant to USD to prevent this scenario ? bit pay takes care of that i believe.

Coinbase does it too, you can autosell every evening. But it doesn't take into account the fluctuation throughout the day.

If we are going to limit ourselves by thinking that the board members of these companies aren't as progressive and entrepreneurial as us... Then why aren't we starting a Bitazon? and BitBay?

Let's get it done if we are that much better than them at perceiving market gains why aren't we capitalist giants yet? I'd say we start with emailing these people so that they can have more perspective on what is going on. I am sure they are better at this than we are so let's pull them in.
