It's not about quality only, you posted something about any coin i read that and it earned me 100x, then that post is helpful, that post is quality for me, I don't know what do you mean by high-quality post,
In general it means constructive/contributes to the conversation/has sense

When situations like that occurs, you should be striving to improve your post not attaching a reminder to "merit me if this helped you" (or something similar) in your post.

You don't really have to explicitly say it for it to count as begging as there are many ways to do it (implicit/explicit).

The thing is, users, don't have to say "If you like this, merits are welcomed" or something similar which is why if they do, it counts as "begging" at least indirectly.

For obvious reasons, begging/buying/selling merits is not allowed here in the forum so you better delete and stop this unless you want to receive a negative trust which should also affect your site's image here.
Also, There's an optional paid rank which is called Copper Membership, But I'm not sure if the link restriction in signature will also be lifted as they do said that signature styling will have a reduced limits so you might wanna ask them about it first.
- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions.
If it's about promotion, there are more effective ways on doing it:
- Make an ANN thread (This is the basic)
- Run a signature campaign - You can hire as many and as few as you want
- Run a social media campaign

This is interesting idea, but i disagree with idea where user can vote/rate an coin without mention any reason (even a short one) why the user give that vote/rating since either the user could be sharing FUD or victim of FUD. Also, i think it's weird that there's gap of vote amount between each account.
My suggestion :
1. Show percentage of coin's reputation is main page, since no one wants to click each coin page just to see it's reputation.
2. Give info that the price is in USD. I'm sure few people would be confused.

Percentage Can't give Idea how many people voted for this , People can create FUD, but at the same time Coin developer and team can request there community to kill FUD by voting in this platform.
People can also comment and chat to discuss more on this.
