It is already easy to spend BTC. It is becoming easier to buy and sell BTC.

To close the cycle and have a real Bitcoin economy we really need some way for millions of people to be able to earn BTC.

Thankfully there is a simple way to achieve that:

https://www.fiverr.com/   millions of gigs, already takes Bitcoin for funding (via Coinbase)

https://www.uber.com    Over 1 million drivers worldwide      (works with Braintree/Paypal)

https://www.airbnb.com/  34.000 cities, over 1 million listings (works with Braintree/Paypal)

https://www.freelancer.com/  15 million users. 8 million projects. (works with Paypal)

If we can get just these 4 to do Bitcoin payouts for contractors, it will give access to millions worldwide to earning BTC. Anyone with a house, a car or able to work will be able to #EarnBitcoin.

The payment processors are already in contact with these companies and have been offering the option to receive Bitcoin payments... how hard can it be to offer the option of Bitcoin withdrawals/payouts?

I'm wondering are any users here who tried these sites already? How much can you earn say in a week? I mean some real examples, I know we all can be millionaires if work hard. )

Yes, spending is always easier than earning.

I didn't know that you could pay using bitcoins on fiverr. There are tons of scam service out there though so better be careful.

Well if @Uber @airbnb and @fiverr take too long to start using Bitcoin... we will soon be able to create an app with @OpenBazaar tech that does exactly what they do with 0 commissions and uncensorable...

The beta is starting to look good...

I think that to get big companies to consider bitcoin, we should use it more.

Many people only use it as a stock/inversion/way to earn "real" money, or to do/receive small tipping here and there, then exchanging it for money.

More bitcoin selling/buying is needed I think.

One good aspect of bitcoin is it is international and not controlled by countries unlike sterling, yen, euro and dollar etc.

I think if we use bitcoins to pay for fiverr service then we can save paypal fee. Usually fiverr collect $0.5 as a paypal fee. But if you use bitcoin I think we can save this 0.5$.

By the way, how to type "BTC", I mean the symbol, I can only copy yours.  Sorry for kind of off topic.

I'm waiting for STEAM to accept Bitcoin, who's with me? Grin

why waiting for that if you have something like https://steambitshop.com/? they have not all the games from steam, but still there is a great repertory
Don't you understand, if I buy in site like that the price must be more expensive than buying on Steam itself.

uhm no, they are the same price, the real difference is that the real steam has more deals and better deal overall, also many more games, that's all

those site are great no need to wait for steam to accept bitcoin, like we no need amazon to accept bitcoin, when open bazar is coming

it is a price you have to pay if you want to be able to buy your steam games with bitcoin, you do not get the fancy sale prices but do contribute to the bitcoin economy. It might cost extra, but it would benefit the bitcoin as a whole to grow and thus make your coins grow too. And yes, just like the $ 2m pizza, you might end up having a steam game that when looking back would have cost you even more if you did HODL those coins, but the coins will never go anywhere if we all hold them, you cannot reach the moon if you hold the rocket back.

yeah and with the bitcoin price rising i don't like spending my bitcoin for buying steam games without any discount and the same or even higher price in comparison with buying directly from steam.

i hope steam accepts bitcoin someday soon so we can use it directly and don't rely on third parties for using out bitcoin.

There are people who are making claims, that Bitcoin adoption reduce sales.

See this thread on Reddit ---> https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/3flrz9/is_blizzard_ever_going_to_accept_bitcoin_as_a/

The thing is.. these businesses accept Bitcoin as a payment method, and only a few people support them, and then they withdraw their support for it.

We need to have a active drive to contantly support businesses who accept Bitcoin payments.  Wink
