I cant say I am quite earning a living just yet off BTC alone, however Its definitely helping me to pad the stats!

Yeah it is true, because by simply finding and using bitcoin then we can fulfill our lives for the better. In addition we can keep some of the money we had for our future or it could be handed down to our descendants. So, bitcoin is very flexible and very incredible. Bitcoin will become digital currencies are most in need and most used by everyone in the future
As you said, we will be having better life in future by earning and saving bitcoins but earning a living right now is the biggest challenge for me as I do not have any option to earn more bitcoin for a living in both online as well job opportunities in my country.

Bitcoin is an extra income from me and I don't have many ways to earn it, its taking care of my basic stuffs and I am satisfied with it, so not expecting a living from it not now and not even in future.
Its the same for me as well,bitcoin only acts as an extra income for me and right now i am no way near to be able to make living only with bitcoin earnings.I think only those you are owning some good dice sites or casinos are earning a living with it or some big investors otherwise its not easy to earn whole living with bitcoins only.Yup if you are earning from signature campaign and by selling services then you can never expect a living with it, as the jobs related to services are limited and there is lot of competition, so you cannot be sure that you will always get an opportunity to offer services.

I am paid bitcoin when I work online. It is my first option and I really prefer it as an escrow can't be recharged like PayPal and others. I'm sure most of us here will agree life is much easier with bitcoin around.

I used to make some good money back before mining become so difficult. With the network the way it is now, its nearly impossible.
yes. mining with the old system is pretty much impossible nowadays. but you can do altcoin mining with low mining equipment.. and altcoin mining is now very profitable too.so if you have those systems try to mine altcoin, you'll get good profit.
nowadays, for mining altcoin i think its a good idea while we can get good profit like extrabyte said because the rate of altcoin is really good at this point and we can get more profit too.
there are many altcoin which have low difficulties to mining and i am sure if you have small until middle equipment, you should have a good profit when you sell it into bitcoin. maybe you can try to mining emc2, ltbc, flo, or else.
Doing full time with bitcoin bring more money that working in a day job if you are just receiving a small fee, and I would say with working online there are many opportunities to earn and you can grow as a person because you have no boss here and no politics and your earnings will only depend on yourself and not other people.
It still depends on what kind of skills you possess. Traders and developers can have more projects online because they can do multiple projects at a time. But those people with skills only suitable for offices will have a hard time working online or in bitcoin.

What alt coin would you suggest mining right now? I can't seem to see a clear winner here. I guess its more or less a gamble.

It could be like that, though living solely off of bitcoins doesn't mean that you can only do trading for your source of income; I'd rather take the path of sports betting over trading any day but again, this is just my preferences and this is the thing that I believe will give me good profits and help me live with only bitcoins at my side.

Earning a living with bitcoin can be quite difficult I'm guessing cause I don't know how you would make enough money full time from bitcoin.
Maybe if you have a company operating trough bitcoin funds it would be possible or if you are a freelancer.
