Oh I wish I knew a bit more about selling bitcoins before I sold some on ebay... They already suck for their service fees but aside from that I sold 10 listings before ebay shut my posts down and 3 of those sales were reversed from PayPal... ultimately I lost those btc forever. Oh well like everything else in my life I learn the hard way... one experience after another. I'm not promoting this site but I have used this site to purchase coins before in person... https://localbitcoins.com/   and for now I'm using a trading site www.cavirtex.com and away from person to person transactions.

Hmm... I tried selecting the categories on the side and I only get blank pages...

Damn... You are the third person saying this and we can't reproduce the issue...

FYI try reproduce the issue in a variety of IE versions (incase you haven't already). IE tends to not work well with the interwebs on many occassions.

EDIT:: Well. Nevermind that idea. I decided i'd try as well. I went to the site and pressed "all categories" on the left hand side, it then brought up a blank page. I tried with IE + Firefox + Chrome, all browsers experience the same issue. FYI i'm australian.

Bitmit have blacklisted my email address for trying to create an account via Tor and aren't responding to emails.

It's frustrating as hell, if I were a scammer I could just create another email address and sign up via phproxy or proxychains and be done with it, but trying to maintain a single identity to establish trust as an honest person is awkward.

Does anyone know who runs this service here so I can contact them / stalk them to see if they're ignoring my emails? I heard it was sold a while back.

I'm currently checking out www.bitmit.net and it seems cool, i'll try use it for something shortly and see how it all pans out. FYI i found it via www.spendbitcoins.com which seems to be a decent site with a list of places to buy stuff with bitcoins.

Anybody know of or heard of any BTC friendly ebay type sites? If not are any in the making? I think this would highly benefit the growth of our beloved bitcoin. Thoughts? Im zero down to trade over a forum with people I dont know without a maybe MtGox type site being the intermediate of the sales. Id attempt to make one but Im pretty sure anything I make would last about .01 seconds against any hacking efforts.

Well, there's this one:

http://thebitcoinplace.com/

That's about as Bitcoin-friendly as you can get, I think!

(Full disclosure:  That's my site, which just recently opened.)

There are already plenty of places that take bitcoins. Most deal in intangible stuff much like bitcoins.

I would say that the only place where physical goods are bought with bitcoins, is on these forums and others like it. Does anybody know of anything different?
