Any plans on integrating multiplayer poker games (holdem, omaha...)? These solo games are cute and all but Edgeless is supposed to be a casino and not a slot machine.

BTW today's volume is 256$n Undecided

Does this token still an ETH ERC20? or do they have plans to migrate to their own blockchain in the near/far future?

Is there any telegram/discord group for this project?

EDG is still ERC20 and there are no official plans for moving to new blockchain.

No Telegram chat as far as I know

Can confirm I've never heard about their own blockchain not it was mentioned in their whitepaper.

As for their official social media channels everytihng is what follows:

https://twitter.com/edgelessproject
https://www.reddit.com/r/Edgeless/
https://github.com/edgeless-casino/

and this thread of course.

That's true there was no plan to develop their own blockchain instead of own a gaming platform on the top of the Ethereum blockchain. So that I also can confirm this there was no such a plan maybe that guy mixing up this project with someone other.

I guess better stay that way because I think they already found their niche in the gambling industry. I am not seeing any problem using eth network anyway. But one thing that I want to see for EDG token - more exchanges so they will be available to a lot of gamblers. Not all gamblers are users of the exchanges they are listed with.
yes I agree maybe this will be the biggest gambling site but if they can't add an exchange maybe the solution is to aggressively promote to a place that is touched by crypto technology maybe many people will be interested

Just half of one percent of that Chinese pie could send EDG back to one fickin dollar.

Only problem could be Edgeless is an online casino and that same article you linked explains that gambling boom in Philippines is due to gamgling being illegal in China and so should be online one.

I hope someone on the Edgeless team reads this. I know your problem is user growth. In fact, it is the problem of many platforms. People are inherently lazy to learn new things. They would rather rely on their set ways. And one of these ways is money.

Oh, there isn't any lack of online gamblers in the entire world. In fact, online Chinese gamblers account for billions of dollars in Asia. Edgeless Casino's problem is the many barriers to play on the casino.

KYC? No, it is not a barrier. Most casinos practice this anyway.

Gambling chips. That's the problem. 1. A gambler has to buy first a cryptocoin with fiat money: BTC or ETH in an exchange he's not familiar with. 2. A gambler has to go to another exchange, transferring his BTC/ETH to buy EDG! 3. And then he has to deposit his EDG into the casino!

Eliminate all these steps by integrating a direct fiat to EDG token into your casino interface and your user growth will explode! That is the best way!

Convert USD/CNY/RUB into EDG using the Bittrex prices, viceversa right on the gambling interface. I bet you will get 10,000% increase in players. No need to exchange BTC or ETH.

Really good point.

I think another barrier is the EDG token itself. Let's say I am constantly winning but he price of EDG is going down. It's been going down for 2 years now. So my winnings would be destroyed cause the EDG price. Sure I could sell instantly EDG but that is just another step which is annoying for frequent gamblers. But this fiat idea of yours would improve even this. It would be like buying chips in a casino and cashing out at the end of your session where the price of EDG wouldn't have the time to change drastically.

Another good idea would be to allow gambling with other crypto like BTC,ETH or DAI and use EDG token in the background. Some kind of automatic purchase similar to how MANA is used in Decentraland. Don't know if that would be possible within the exiting platform...

Believe me. If they only pull heads out of their asses and start thinking like a real online gambling site, they wouldn't have a problem with getting players. Let's forget the crypto/blockchain aspect first and think like a business. There are so many gamblers out there and so many successful gambling sites.

The Philippines is having a online betting boom!

Anyway, do you know Clam and Just Dice? It's basically similar to Edgeless. I think the team can learn from their long yet stagnant existence. If you compare product features though, Edgeless wins bar none. But where are the players?

Effective marketing team could bring more exposure as like they are promoting their business in era of blockchain. I think they are missing marketing campaigns that is the reason they are not active players as compare with casinos.

Indess just like when they started they promote on the social media's which attracts many players and hoard to the edgeless site. Thier ads was really catchy, however as of now to think that they've build already it is not that easy for them unless they will allocate some funds to do market and attract players again. If they will stick oflline edgeless will be worthless in the future as there is not ao much update online and so the people will think.

Yeah, marketing is a factor but not the most important factor, I still strongly believe they have to make it easy for a newbie player to setup quick and fast.

Another issue: some people think the EDG token is useless or worthless. I beg to differ. One example of a token that is heavily used is the DENT token. Sure, they could actually eliminate the blockchain feature and make all the tokens centralized in a server. But one of the core proposition is the semi-independence of these tokens. It actually protects your ownership of them if something happens to the lead company's servers. And you can sell your tokens to third-parties.

You have a point here, a very valid point!

Spot on.
