I just don't get the idea of "mobile mined" blockchain. Nothing can prevent anyone from developing a GPU miner for it, where one GPU will beat army of 50 - 100 phone-mining losers Cheesy

Actually, a lot of things can prevent you to do so. A freaking LOT.
(Even something sounding utterly stupid like "limiting the unitary hash number" does not sound stupid at all when you have 1 Billion devices...

But I agree on the fact that these things can be hacked, patched, hacked etc... like anything in the world.

Even worse. The dev wrote somewhere that the mobile mining is just some kind of fake. Every holder of Electroneum which uses the mobile wallet will receive some coins over time automatically. So the app should not use much battery power or CPU of the mobile devices. This is just some kind of marketing to increase the number of users of the mobile app.
The real mining (support of the blockchain) will still be done by miners who use their PCs.
But it could work. If the greed for more free coins drives the masses to use the app, all hodlers could profit long term once milliones of users download and use the mobile app.

If your phone would actually mine, it would burst into flames lol, i think it'll be kinda self mining like the artemine genesis addresses (ICO still running btw)

$0.01 per coin with a 21,000,000,000 supply

The ICO price puts its marketcap at $210,000,000 and if we look at coinmarketcap.com then you can see that would put Electroneum in position 31 between Golem and BAT...

5x gains would put it at p11 above OmiseGO

10x gains would put it at p7 above NEM

100x gains would put it at p3 above BCH and not far behind ETH

1000x gains would put it p1 with a marketcap 3.3x larger than Bitcoin

Come on guys you might make some gains but lets be realistic, in the current bear market I can see this dropping below ICO price. There are a lot of promising projects below p31 marketcap and I don't see what make Electroneum so much more valuable.

If it sells out the first week, the market cap will be 40 million only. 6 billion coins for sale at 0,6667 cent pr coin (until bonus drops after 7 days). The remaining 15 billion will be mined later

Still, 100x would put it at 4 billion - which seems overly optimistic.

100x sounds too optimistic. Rather, they should not expect such a pump. Best regards.
its a perception coming from those whos willing to take he risk and wait till that value will be able to reach, not sure if this project can grow to
that level but who knows its only time and the support that will dictate for such a project like this,.

I am curious what people expect about the popularity of the mobile app? Their prospects are to become viral among non-cryptominded people, yet I am curious how they are going to market this. I got into this ICO because I saw an add, which probably only appeared to me because I was already interested in cryptocurrency etc. What do you guys expect about the 'virability' of the mobile app after Nov 1st? Will it be a insta-hit or will it take months before people start noticing?

I think that the beauty of Electroneum is that people will use cryptocurrencies without even noticing they are.

Hey dude. We are not getting paid like we're told to go in and refute claims because then we will pay you. We could discuss things freely about anything in regards to ETN, just the fact that it gives us a part in the bounty is just an extra. Personally, i am only in the signature programme in the bounty.

But nobody is getting paid directly to be in here; what i ment was that we are doing it freely and that THEN qualifies us for bounty. Not the other way around.

lol.  i dont think i could come up with a more idiotic excuse to backpedal on what you said than this if i tried.
last i checked most people dont get paid in advance for doing their job. they get paid AFTER the fact.
"doing it freely" lol
i guess i just go to work everyday because i love my job and am willing to do it freely but getting paid is just a nice bonus.
it doesnt matter what order things happen.  you are PAID to shill the coin, thats it.  there is no arguing that
if it wasnt electroneum it would just be another coin.  whatever you gotta do to rake in those dollars.

So you're comparing your freaking job to a disruptive crypto coin? what a great job you have. Listen, do you really think anybody here knows what the f*** anyone is going to get from the bounty or what we're qualified for ? Not at all. Myself am most likely not going to get anything, that depends on my lawyer. So you might just run into that one guy who is not getting paid, but the fact of the matter is, you know at your job that you're getting paid, and if you love it, it is a nice bonus perhaps, compared to other people who are just doing it for the money. Depends on your priorities, so your arguments are really invalid. I know plenty of people paid up front.

but you know what? Have a good one mate, because i am not discussing this further with you Smiley

I'm getting a little worried now that the ICO sale has slowed down. I have a decent amount of coins and my cost basis is under a half a cent now, hopefully I don't sit on a loss for too long after it lands on exchanges

It hasn't ! Smiley

Seems they are doing really well and there is still a couple weeks left.  6 million raised and a LOT of registered users.

29652 Registered Users

9479.5093243501 Ethereum Raised

688.17227594999 Bitcoin Raised

Saw the ad in early Sep and kept a close watch on it.
Never invested in any altcoin and still not. Man the fund raising is going extremely well.
I'm tempted to buy some but will probably do it after it is listed and go with the flow. The bitcoin is doing well for me these few weeks. Hope it can keep the upward trend till next month so I could buy this coin with cheap cost:)

I almost believed on this optimistic speculation thread but I'm a bit disappointed when I see that most of the members posting here are wearing electroneum signature and avatar. I don't know if they are paid to post or not. But anyway the projects seems so solid and good.

Nobody is paid to post at all, the community is doing this out of free will and a belief in the coin.

Anyone on the sig campaign are only getting Electroneum, not BTC.
So they have to believe in the coin because if shit, they wont get paid shit.

you guys are so full of shit its unbelieveable

Hi yeah i have noticed most of us ( with the signature campaign) posted here but we are actually not paid to give an optimistic opinion but rather just put their coin name on our signature. I know some of the speculation on this thread are unrealistic but some actually makes sense. I personally bought some coins not because of the hype but because with my research about the coin it shows that it has a very good potential.

As of now us investors are hoping that we will hit our target price within a few months or years.

As of the moment Electroneum is not the only coin that i'm holding but with my portfolio i can say that the coins that i chose is still doing good except for DOGE LOL.
