Watching the lately spot about Musk appearing on live tv this weekend for showing what all the hype is about and if he will actually have a mention of his favorite cryptocurrency doge, it seems the media are jumping all over this appearance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWWzszskgmA

What are your thoughts about this North American appearance and what do you think he will do or say about doge or even bitcoin?
I think since Miley Cyrus is the musical guest he will have her dress up as a dog and call her doge. Cheesy
She likes cats and had dressed up as them on stage during her concerts, so you never know what these two crazy people will do on this episode.
Elon Musk's influence on the crypto market has been a topic of much discussion. It's evident that Musk's tweets and public statements have a significant impact on the prices and popularity of cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and Bitcoin. While he has expressed enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies, it's important to remember that his primary businesses, Tesla and SpaceX, remain his focus.

Regarding his upcoming appearance on live TV and any potential mentions of Dogecoin or Bitcoin, it's difficult to predict his actions. Musk's unpredictable nature makes it challenging to anticipate what he might say or do.

While we appreciate the discussion surrounding Elon Musk and his influence on cryptocurrencies, it's essential to emphasize that Coinremitter is here to provide practical solutions for cryptocurrency payments and transactions. If you have any questions about https://coinremitter.com/?utm_source=rep&utm_medium=bitcointalks or need assistance with crypto payments, feel free to ask.

Well why not all of the above?

Mining coins with solar power is a natural business for his company that make solar setups.

I see no reason why he does not like all of it.

So I think he sees a natural fit.

Elon Musk's main focus is on Tesla and SpaceX. Crypto is a way to boost money for him. Although he acts like a madman, he tweets about various coins and many coins are pumped by Hughes. and he actually invested there before tweeting and when it pumped up Hughes he sold it so he owns the Hughes wealth that will keep him top rich for a long time. Crypto is not his motivation but it is his money making machine for him. Elon Musk is really a very smart guy

What's the point?

I read some reports from Bitcoin Mining Council and Bitcoin mining has good proportion of renewable energy consumption. I remember it already is higher than 50% that is not only reached recently.

In Q1 2022, the report from BMC already shows it is more than 50%, that is 58%.

@Nwada001. Similar to what I have said yesterday, everything about dogecoin might begin in X. Elon appears to have a bigger agenda for dogecoin in his ecosystem of businesses.

This speculation will be confirmed if the dogecoin development team agrees to the proposal to switch from proof of work to proof of stake.

I'm glad you used "might," which means there is no affirmation whatsoever. There are many theories and propaganda online, and even if a reputable online personality proves this, I will still not believe it unless Elon Musk himself comes out to verify it. Personally, I don't think Elon Musk has anything to do with the Dogecoin project, he only saw an opportunity and keyed into it.

And of course, if a man as wealthy as himself could support a project in its early stage like that, there is no way it will not pump.

@Fara Chan He has been known as The DogeFather for years now so it is a given he has a soft place in his heart for the beloved original meme coin!

He is also looking for ways to make bitcoin more attractive to corporate entities as well:

Musk has been trying to come up with new ways to make X more appealing to those corporate council members with bringing a little innovation to the platform so to keep it a bit more fresh than his competitors

Next we can only hope for something more useful then just smoke and mirrors.
Such as a cryptocurrency wallet inwhich telegram has implemented into their own application recently.
And yes, it does include BTC !

After Elon Musk's biography was released earlier this week it was found he had secretly been funding doge coin so you can guess which coin he would probably be picking when he allows cryptocurrency transfers on his platform.
Currently in the works with some posts of code to a cryptocurrency wallet they have been creating and have been slowly getting approval state by state to have a currency processor license.
It is not surprising with news like this now because in the past two years Elon Musk was often associated with Dogecoin. And even as Dogecoin experiences a huge pump in 2021, besides that, I also wouldn't guess what cryptocurrency he will accept for his platform at this point. But from this news it can also be concluded that there is a full possibility for Elon Musk to accept Dogecoin into his platform when it is very possible for him to do so.

Quote
Also it has been revealed that Elon has been a developer of his beloved cryptocurrency dogecoin.
In fact, this has been worth mentioning for a long time because it is very clear that Elon Musk quite likes and cares about Dogecoin, so he has tweeted a lot about Dogecoin in the past. However, Elon Musk also doesn't hate Bitcoin because he really understands and knows that Bitcoin is more than anything even though he has been a Dogecoin developer.

X platform seems to be wanting more features added so to compete with the all in one app WeChat that is offered in China.

"Video & audio calls coming to X:
- Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC
- No phone number needed
- X is the effective global address book
That set of factors is unique."

Since X has implemented content creator ad revenue sharing last month it was inevitable they were going to need a payment structure for how they were going to pay those users.
https://techcrunch.com/2023/07/13/twitter-starts-sharing-ad-revenue-with-verified-creators

So the obvious choice was going to be cryptocurrency payments with the simplicity of dealing with multiple transactions all at once.

"Notably, Rhode Island approved a requested license by Twitter Payments LLC — X’s payment branch — on August 28, according to data from NMLS. The “Currency Transmitter” license also includes different crypto-related service providers, such as crypto exchanges, wallets, and payment processors."

I buy all valid country Gift cards swiftly.
I didn't notice the news but the truth is that Elon has already created alot of name around himself and with that been, we all know he owns tesla and if diving into cryptocurrency will help boost his name and business then I don't see any reasons to fight that.
On the other  hand, I've seen musk as a very funny guy and it I've always enjoyed his contents and I was considering  following his crypto speculations but I didn't because there was no finance and I didn't because he was never serious and the next second you might just see the coin he favour just dumping and there is absolutely  nothing anyone can do about it.

I think Elon  is in to make profits and since his a business  man, he already has the best strategy for him to promote tesla and still make profit.

We saw many times Elon Musk Twitted about Doge coin and within short time Bitcoin price moves huge. So then doge coin price up.? And we know Elon Musk is a successful business man. So he can think different things. I think bow he love cryptocurrency very much. And he was bought big amount of Bitcoin  in 2021 But recently he was sold all coin for urgent need. Although we see Elon Musk bough Twitter so he will use it for advertise it is normal. Elon musk is for crypto for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX.

All I could say about Elon Musk is that he is a businessman and all he cares about is how he can make profit, what can he do to make those profits, and all of that. Elon's strong support for Shit coins is that he can have a very strong holding of those shit coins, Dogecoin to be precise. From the beginning, when he started promoting Dogecoin, the price pumped beyond people's expectations, and profit was really made out of it for those who were holding large amounts of it.

So his recent actions towards selling all their bitcoin holdings and not selling out any of their Dogecoin can also be seen as another means of telling the world that they are still with Dogecoin and its remains. If he can succeed with his plan, then he can be sure of taking out some huge profit again anytime soon if the Doge price pumps up a bit, and a few millions, if not billions, will be added to his net worth.

Elon musk has an entrepreneurial mindset and that's why he could confidently invest in all these projects ignoring the fear of unknown. I like his courage really, and no matter how you want to put it, he can never be broke even if all these companies fail.
He is one that has always believed in cryptocurrency and has some BTC, Eth and Doge coins in a wallet tucked away somewhere.
In 2021 when Tesla purchased some BTC, it could be likened to a whale move and it effected a price hike to about 25% which recorded an ATH of $48,000 as at then. Although, it was because it announced it was accepting BTC payment for  new purchase of Tesla vehicles with as low as $100 deposit.

When Tesla stopped accepting payments with BTC, the interest rate however dropped to 10%, this just goes to show you that despite the attention, a whale is a whale, and Elon and his Tesla and SpaceX are big whales in the cryptocurrencies ocean.
You have an interesting position in relation to Ilona. It may be true about entrepreneurship, but this world can be incredibly harsh. Force majeure circumstances can happen to this person at any time. What to do then? Who will run all these companies? After all, not all of his relatives have a predisposition to this. What will happen to all this finance? It seems to me that not everything is as clear as you write.

Yes, Musk has crypto in his accounts, but he is not going to keep it forever. The right moment will come for him and he will throw everything off. The market will, of course, react to such an event, but then everything will return to its previous course. This has happened more than once. Therefore, there is no point in believing in him like that. Everything has some measure.

Here is an advertisement from the language on the banner could be in China on a BTC atm of Elon and his favorite coin, Doge.

source: https://mashable.com/article/tesla-bitcoin-dogecoin

But it is speculated he had sold most of one or all of his companies bitcoins in recent months.
One can only take a guess at this point in time as his X platform is wanting to come up with a payment system of their own.
But which cryptocurrency will they eventually choose?
Could be they will end up doing what paypal has done and come up with their own stablecoin and use this instead.

Elon was quoted in social media that says the most entertaining outcome is the most likely and he also continued with as seen from an external observer, not the participants.

We cannot be quite certain what he was telling everyone by saying this, however, it might imply something about Dogecoin. It would be very head scratching if he can make this joke pump to be in top 5 of the cryptospace.

In my honest opinion, I do not think he is really meant to be in this space. Although it's just a rumor that SpaceX has sold of their Bitcoins (but Evergrande is the main possible catalyst), I honestly think he is just only for attention.

We do appreciate the time that he hyped Bitcoin and made it to almost $70k thanks to his all-out support in DOGE. But I think he's not really meant to be in this space but we can't stop him from making decisions on his own like buying BTC at the dip and selling it high.

I think celebrities like Elon play a key role in the spread of crypto. We all know how much advertising money is paid to promote something in the world. I won't go into the benefits of advertising at length here. Elon is promoting Bitcoin. Elon is buying and selling Bitcoin. All of this is good for Bitcoin. Nobody is telling us to buy Bitcoin high and sell it low.

As a result, advertising is useful and important for mass dissemination.

He not only hyped up bitcoin for his own purposes but is known to do this for anything he is trying to garner attention too.
Especially toward his companies SpaceX/Tesla/Twitter now all under one company name X.
