OpenLedger - Smart Trading Decentralized

Following articles have so far been released on the Emercoin partnership with OpenLedger:

and some great amount of PRbuzz is going on at the moment with for instance CryptocoinsNews article on the proceure of creating crypto backed to fiat:

Fiat is now available for all emercoin users in both USD, EUR and CNY as the currencies traded on the DEX.

Hi Ronny. This is exciting news and generous to be giving 10 OBITS to everyone using that signup link! I like what OpenLedger is aiming for, with full accountability on the Bitshares DEX.

Personally, I'm a little confused at the dividing line between OpenLedger and CCEDK.com and hoping you could please summarize the differences between them or where I might see this information answered already. As I see, CCEDK.com is a centralized exchange, and OpenLedger runs on the Bitshares DEX.

Will ccedk.com be moving all its trading to OpenLedger in the future, or continuing to run a separate exchange?
Will there be EMC trading pairs on CCEDK as well as on Bitshares/OpenLedger?

Any clarity you can provide me is appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for the nice words and welcome to all Emercoin holders and future investors.

CCEDK is the registrar and host of OpenLedger wallet. We ar also the initiator and provider of the fiat and crypto bridge. As we believe Openledger is the future but still feel too early to dismis the opportunities with a centralized exchange especially with some upcoming news regarding our debitcard called NanoCard, we dont mind playing on two horses for the time being, who knows both horse might win if not in the same race!!

We dont expect EMC on CCEDK if we are able to provide NanoCard to all users listed on Openledger, however if that is complicatd for whatever the reason we will list EMC there as well, as focus in future will be to offer most major altcoins the option to be the supportive currency on our NanoCard to fiat.

Dont forget when it comes to the altcoins and btc on Openledger the procedure is no different from any other exchange, the difference comes however when you are able on Openledger to see the amount of crypto listed in cold wallets as well being able within next few months to secure those cold wallets with desgnated multisig accounts.

All the best and lest see some great activity trdaing on the DEX

Following markets have been created and soon EMC pairs will be listed on CMC as well as under Openledger exchange, as you may find it already listed today as exchange. although really not big: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/emercoin/#markets

I have created  following pairs on Openledger, which means they are active right now, but with little liquidity since only created:

BTS/BTC     https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/BTS_OPEN.BTC
EMC/BTC  https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.EMC_OPEN.BTC
EMC/EUR  https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.EMC_OPEN.EUR
BTS/EMC   https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/BTS_OPEN.EMC
BKS/BTC    https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.BKS_OPEN.BTC
NBT/BTC   https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.NBT_OPEN.BTC
ETH/BTC    https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.ETH_OPEN.BTC
ETH/NBT   https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.ETH_OPEN.NBT
ETH/BTS    https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OPEN.ETH_BTS
OBITS/BTC   https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OBITS_OPEN.BTC
OBITS/BTS   https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/OBITS_BTS
MUSE/BTS https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/BTS_OPEN.MUSE

https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/market/CNY_OPEN.ETH

above pairs have been asked as the first ones to be listed on CMC.

Activation of market special bonus 1 OBITS per trade of minimum 1000 BTS equivalent per transaction

All trades from today untill february 10th untill February 20th count, however maximum 5000 OBITS per unique account:

ATTENTION: you must provide your self, record of trades listing or otherwise as proof and total count and send by e-mail to [email protected] to qualify.

If you dont know OBITS more info on  site: www.obits.io

You can create any trading pairs you wish by changing for instance OPEN:BTC to OPEN.DOGE and market will be active the minute you start building a sell or buy wall.

Dont let you be fooled of the OPEN.XXX an think this is just plain asset, it is the same way any other exchange is handling the incoming and outgoing crypto, meaning it is placed in cold and hot wallets, the only and perhaps very interesting detail is that on Openledger you are able to follow what amounts are deposited and withdrawn all the time, either by looking directly at the hot wallet called openledger-wallet or by checking out the activities via the designated explorer called cryptofresh. I give you here the direct link to the wallet https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=openledger#/account/openledger-wallet/overview, but much more to find here:

http://cryptofresh.com/u/openledger-wallet

It means that right now Openledger as exchange is showing you constant update on what is available in total supply, and you are able to deposit via generated adresses or withdraw directly to the address of your choice all in automode. Just like any other centralized exchange and coming up within next month or maximum two any cold wallets as well as hot for that matter will be handled on the based of a sort of multisignature account, and it could be possible to discuss for instance certain members of this community to be involved in this part come bigger cold wallet amounts etc.

can someone tell me the details of how is the mining via folding@home done, or point me to the info?

I believe that the EMC folding project runs only on donations now and before this was supported directly from the team's own mining at https://pool.emercoin.com See Fixx's recent post below from the other thread, which indicates the team's direct support for the folding project has stopped.

Ah, too bad I was hoping someone came up with a clever implementation of BOINCs, donations are better than nothing, the problem is that they aren't very sustainable.

I have read about massive pre- or instamine of Emercoin.
Is this really true?
Also I wonder a bit how small the community is for a coin that is in the top 10. There are no major exchanges (Bittrex is ok, but it's just in the second league if you compare the volume with Poloniex) where Emercoin is listed.

Thanks for clarification!

hi,

I mine this coin for the very first day as it was annunced by the developer into their
Fixx PeerCoin Pool as a new corrency to use for many future projects (and this is what make me mine it).

So there was no massive pre- or instamine of Emercoin.
Else I run an alternative pool for over 1,5 year (now it is closed for server upgrade until April) as I like the right approach developers did to the coin.

They focus onto develops new features (the one you now see in it) and for the first year they buy Emercoin (with $) at a fixed price that was very hight for a new coin and they direct people to exchange it for real object instead of other digital currencies.
This is why you did not find many exchanges active for Emercoin now.

Lets go behind 2 years: miners actually want only to mine and then sell coins at the most high values in exchanges, so if you find a coin without exchanges you are bring to not mine it.

I had not sell a EMC and else I will go to buy others for use them for DNS in some servers I had.

Dear Ice,

many thanks for the clarification. That have increased my trust in this coin and I have downloaded the wallet and will buy some more.

Best regards
