I also felt the hardship in choosing between two polar ideas. I want to bet on my favorite team and choose the highest possibility of winning at the same time but it seems impossible. Hence, you must choose if you will still go for your desire team or go for profit. If you want a profit then you must be practical and go for the team that is leading. Favoritism and instinct must be separated.

Some people cannot control the feeling in a long time because if they see their club team don't have a chance to win, they will piss off and some of them will leave the match.
thats true and i witnessed some of my friends do this . some didnt even bother to watch the begining of the match just to avoid being emotional but they shouldnt think negative because the match didnt ended yet . there is still a chance that thier fav team can win . Not just your friends, I already saw my friends too. Their losses their win money because they cannot control the emotion although I already told them to quit the game. But they won't listen to me because I think, at that time, they are too greedy to chase more winning. I cannot do anything while I stay beside them and after they lose, they regret it.
I don't want to risk the funds too big if I see I don't have a chance to win.
so your only betting small ? or you dont bet at all ? if your team is weak against the opossing team , you can go for the opposing team if you really wanted to win . I always betting in small but usually, I join with my friends to bet on any sports game especially in football because I don't have much knowledge in the sports game. We are collaborating with the money and sometimes we can win.
On this kind of situation, I don't bet at all I don't go for this kind of situation unless you are a professional gambler, who can take losses or winning money is what matters to you, when I am supporting a team or a player I'm all out for him or them and I'm not a professional gambler to betray my self.

Some people will support the strong team than to support the favorite team or player, and that is not because they don't have a favorite team. But that is because of they the chance for the strong team to win. And after all, they want to make money from the game. I see some supporters of the soccer in my city and yes, no matter their favorite team win or lose, and they still support it.

Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

Same mindset but if you are heavily a fun you will surely bet for them but if we do have some real talks on here then no dumb person will make and lose up some money yet its clear on whose gonna won.If you do see your club is on the line but the opponent stats is much more way better then we cant deny that our brains do know on where to bet but as mentioned when emotion sets in sometimes its really hard to control it up.It will vary on which one would you prefer to follow.I never let emotions take over. but if you do play or make bets to make money then your analysis and guts would tell you on which way you should go.You are right this will depend on emotions and thinking

As they say, people can always do anything for soccer, especially for their club but does that also include losing money intentionally.
I think there should be a limitation to what we can actually lose our money on. You may feel the money is nothing when the game is ongoing but the aftermath can be quite painful.

Personally I think that you can't win in gambling on the long run, so I never bet to make money. I only bet for fun and especially when my favorite team plays I like to place a wager just to increase my "skin in the game" if you know what I mean. There is no better way to spend an evening than placing a wager on your team and going to cheer for them on the stadium!

I don't rely too much on betting on my favorite team because I think it will still lose against a stronger team. I prefer teams that have potential to win I don't want to risk my money just because of that, it will make me confused to bet. Frankly speaking, emotions overrule judgement in my case. My favorite club is Barcelona and whenever, wherever and against whomsoever they play, I always bet on Barcelona FC. To make it simplified, I bet only on W-D-L full-time in the case of Barcelona matches. To be honest, it adds too much thrill while actually watching the game.

This is hard to decide on which club you are going to place a bet and you know that your had choosen club is weak and you know that it is the underdog team. If you are not sure don't place to much big amount in placing a bet, just spend that you can afford to lose. Or else if you can cheer the team that you don't like but you are placing a bet just for wanting a profit. But for me, I personally support my club, winner or lose I will be there.

I don't have a club that is really favored so I've never had a problem about it. But when we talk about emotions when betting then of course it will make a mess in bets, because emotions can come from anywhere and not always from the team in betting. So basically, make a safe bet for you, it doesn't matter if it's the favorite team or not but when the opponent that has to fight is a stronger opponent and we realize that, then I don't think we need to continue betting and another option is to make another bet that might be an easy winning for you.

It's hard to say that. If your favorite team is playing and it is underdog, will you surely be betting on the opposing team? That is really hard to tell. You tell me, can you imagine yourself watching your favorite team play, and you cannot cheer for them, and you are deep inside wishing for them to lose because you are betting on the opponent? That's unbelievable!
Or do you have a favorite team or player? I mean one that you truly consider yourself a die-hard fan of?

As long as you can handle your emotion properly then we call that normal.We are human to feel happy and upset with our bet but with proper discipline, we will be able to do the right thing every time we are in a situation.

That's true, what's only important is that you will win most of the time so you will result at a profitable rate.
You also need to learn how to manage your bankroll as even if you have a good winning percentage but with lack of discipline, you might be able to lose everything in one bet only, that's being emotional is too risky when gambling.

I don't rely too much on betting on my favorite team because I think it will still lose against a stronger team. Anyone who wants be a successful gambler in the art of sports, needs to be able to separate wishes from reality and this is one thing successful stock brokers and traders have imbibed. A company that they have been part of even helped their stock got listed and they will short against that same company despite the love and attraction they have to it and its owners especially if its being floated by an entrepreneur. Its nothing personal, its purely business and nothing else.
People who tend to be emotional about a particular club should not even move towards gambling except they stay away from that match where their favorite club is playing. I have seen guys gets dejected after the end of a match not because their favorite teams loses but because they have lost money when they quite know that their team does not have a chance in the tournament.

Using your emotions to make yourself "back" your favorite club/team/player is the wrong approach to betting. You will almost always end up losing your money if you follow this road. You have to be impartial in your decision and analysis and place bets in a calculated manner to profit. Casinos encash your money from emotions so dont let them do so.
You never know when a goal might turn the tide of the game and you will end up worried that your team will lose and this may force you to make a counter bet to get back some win. But then your team scores again and the older bet is winning making the counter bet useless. Dont fall for such situations.

It's easy to do the easy way and this is not betting against your favorite team and let your friend bet for you, make it half between you and your friend so even if your team loses you still have a consolation by getting half of your friend's winnings, we should not be emotional when betting.
