Wow i slept alot.

So, i mine scrypt, i will check that app.

Edit: Look like prifinity is dead, no hits except years old stuff asking how to get prifinity.

I still need a fix, I have a solid 50 wu loss since i fiddled with this (without running IGP) and still a 300 kh loss when running on IGP X_x

I'm still looking for help, i'm 400khs short when running on IGP and i have trouble keeping my WU up since i installed intel IGP drivers.

I think I recall this...

You need to cpu power to your card. To do so, I had to use prifinity to adjust cpu power to the card, my HR went up. Then for other applications like your browser, assign apps to a dif. core. This is if I recall correctly. ANd you have to find which core fits best with the card, as you have two core and two threads? It's been a couple years or so so, this is off my memory.

Edit:
What r u mining?

two steps forward, cool.

Now maybe some else with knowledge mining the r290 can step in Smiley .

I have not mined in a long time. I am out of date with the new stuff, need to get my ass on a roll.

Wink Thanks for your time.

Ahah, thanks for the encouragement on partial victory.

Well its not really fine tuning, its way lower than running it out of the box.

"api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1",
"api-listen" : true,
"failover-only" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"gpu-engine" : "1030",
"gpu-fan" : "63",
"gpu-memclock" : "1450",
"gpu-powertune" : "12",
"temp-target" : "85",
"temp-overheat" : "90",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "25601"

900kh when running with only GPU, 540kh when running monitor on IGP.

Isint much to play with here, i tried TC and intensity which doesnt change much (+ or less 20KH), i cant really play with clocks much because i get that OpenCL and ADL did not match, Hardware monitoring may NOT match up with devices! lookup gap is a big nono to touch and there isint anything else to touch =/

I found a solution, i installed a specific intel driver pack and enabled a hard to find setting in bios to enable virtu support. Now gpu support OpenCL while using igp for monitor and other stuff, but hashrate dropped by 35% and no temp/hasrate is being reported by the GPU. What gives?

Awesome, congrats. Prob now it is tune up time for your card. Like a combination lock, you gotta tune it just right, in the config settings of the miner.

Me too, but i figure i'm missing something simple, since i very much doubt i'm the first person to encounter this problem and i don't see thousands of people whining about it like i.

I'm stumped bro.  Embarrassed

Edit:

Maybe post in that thread that I linked, the one here for bitcointalk or the one at litecoin forums.

Are you using windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit, or even using windows7 at all?

*shrug*

Are you saying i temporarily get a second monitor?

A few users reported forcing output on software side with "detect" when you go to the display->screen resolution screen, then a "output not detected" button supposedly appear and would then let you force virtual output on r290 without having anything plugged in. But i don't see such thing. Nor do r290 appear there.

Both my recent motherboards and the 290 have that DVI-D plug which cannot be dummied. My 7 years old dead lcd screen that doesnt work is DVI-D too.

I don't know if i'm missing a little something so i can force output or there is something wrong with my i3, as i can't seem to find the right drivers for it and i can,t install opencl 1.2 for intel.

from what I understand the dvi-d cannot be dummied. maybe a second temp monitor?

Other than that, I am at lost and sorry for wasting your time.

I have an i3 3220 (hd2500) running on b75m-gl.

I don't think its the board as the r290 is detected, even by miners, but OpenCL is disabled when booting on the IGP.

What brand/model# board, cpu are you using?

Finally read through the 4 page of mostly dummies and dummy plugs.

There's nothing new:

-You can use Dummy plugs(Obsolete)
-You don,t need Dummy Plug if you install current drivers for amd and intel.

My guess is there is something wrong with intel drivers because i can't install opencl for igp (it says computer does not support requirement), it wont install i3 igp drivers for same reason, wont install other version of seemingly related to HD Graphics 2500 for same reason, website auto detect doesnt work.

It just seem to me that Open CL isint working properly, GPU-Z say that Open CL isint supported for both IGP and dGPU when monitor is plugged onboard. Simply rebooting with GPU as primary then renable Open CL support for GPU.

Atm AMD and AMD SDK is installed successfully.
