I mean you're clearly not here to learn since you won't even google a word you don't know. I did an "I'm feeling lucky" on google and got this just searching segwit.
This goes for everyone else, if you can't even search google for basic bitcoin improvement protocols, you probably need not apply (don't post in a thread if you don't undertand the op).
It's worth noting that some multisig addresses can start with a 3 too so it's not just the segwit ones.
I do not understand the need for some members to repeatedly repeat the same thing over and over regarding SegWit/Legacy address. Any user who posts their application for free spot in this campaign is disqualified himself at the very beginning if he/she do not know the difference between different address formats.
It is not only BTC SegWit or multisig addresses which can start with 3, Litecoin addresses can also start with 3.
You should also use Google sometimes to learn something instead of just accusing others of being ignorant. For example, did you learn something from this thread : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-coins-supported-on-ledger-nano-s-5043128
You showed "great knowledge" there about hardware wallets and forks...
Apologies to campaign manager DarkStar_ for off topic/but too much posts went in that direction.
1. It was introduced to reduce block sizes. The people that need to know about it are those who are sending dust frequently so we can keep the chain as free as possible.
2. Shitpost in the alts board if you want to talk about litecoin.
3. I’ve seen that hardware wallets aren’t waterproof, flash drives and solid state drives are... (although there’s no need to derail this thread further is there)?
