I would love to be part of this long-standing campaign. I am also quite willing to prove that I can rise up to be one of the very best posters here.

If accepted, test me out for 2 weeks, and if you're not happy with my post quality, simply kick me out with no pay.

Kind regards Smiley

Payments sent for this week. (1972313f79a4200880f776412a0f4f3c5650567599822e20dfa33e8c5df2caa3)

1 (or 2, depending on if I think there's 2 really good candidates) slots open. Will likely be looking at people on Monday.

Is there a merit breakdown for this week DarkStar or was that getting a bit too much?

Slipped my mind, it's on the spreadsheet now. I've stopped posting them as an actual post as I think it gets pointless after a while, however I'm logging everything on the spreadsheet for those that are curious.

Hi Darkstar,

I would like to update my address to bc1q45n2uvxt3h9ta5zfnhtfcslgeyv5rk9qt7fav6 so that it's a segwit address. Previous address was from a hosted wallet.

Thank you for your time,

magneto

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory

That was a really haeavy attack this morning (I was wondering if Theymos had accidentally pulled the plug out or something)...

nah, it was an issue with bitcointalk.org subdomains and a TLS error:

Sorry about the TLS error downtime. What happened was that I used to have separate certs for bitcointalk.org and *.bitcointalk.org, but I forgot that I combined them last time, so when I renewed *.bitcointalk.org, I didn't update the certificate on the bitcointalk.org server. And I have Cloudflare's strict TLS enforcement enabled, so it just killed the connection as soon as it expired.

Ahhh, great spot btcforjoe!
I was told cloudflare had the SSL certificate for bitcointalk, I guess not.

Simply outrageous! You'd think with 9001 alts... The count would be an easy "max posts" for all involved! Tongue

Seriously tho, was slightly unnerving to start with getting an "SSL error" message from Cloudflare! Undecided

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Alright, so post counting isn't going to be finished today unfortunately. Forum downtime happened pretty much in the exact time frame i was available to do post counting. I'll cutoff posts for those who have not been counted for yet at 18:00 MST (0:00 UTC), which was about the exact time the downtime happened. I apologise for the inconvenience.

I was wondering what was going to happen about that.
I checked the forum at about two hours after you start normally to see if yo've done mine (to work out how many posts i've done and compare it to the others before me) and saw that the forum was down when I tried to connect to it.

That was a really haeavy attack this morning (I was wondering if Theymos had accidentally pulled the plug out or something)...

On the other hand, if I had done post counting earlier in the morning, I could have avoided downtime. I also could have stayed up much later instead of going to sleep. So there is a little blame for me.
Have it your way, I'll blame you now Tongue Just kidding of course, it's totally okay to have a personal life heavy night on Saturday.
Thanks for the payment again!

Yeah, I'm not sure people care too much about lateness - you're normally always pretty quick (as long as it's not an ENTIRE MONTH without payments - wouldn't wait that long again)...

You had me scared for a minute, DarkStar_, I thought something had happened to you. Turns out, it was just a heavy Saturday night, which is understandable. It's not like any of us are relying on the campaign payment to bring our dog to the vet and get life-saving care, right?... Right?...

Anyways, Week 9 Payment received; hopefully my internet stops cutting out for 2-3 days at a time and let's me live in peace. It's tough managing over 9,000 alts, so we (being your alts) will cut you some slack.

Don't blame yourself at all. It's an honor to be part of this campaign, so I think I can speak on behalf of everyone, when I say that it's OK to wait if it's needed, there's no problem at all.
Thanks for the regular payments, anyway Smiley
