I don't get it, can eos be bought and sold on the exchange even when the ico is not over? Can the tokens be transferred from MEW to an exchange for trading?
yes, you can participate in the ico, you can also buy from the exchange, i think it will be much convient to buy on the exchange since ico may be expensive than exchange

If you mean their ico is also taking place now this is interesting and I can't understand this. Because it's already on exchanges such as Binance and couple more exchanges. Then thre is no more logic to join eos ico.

The last token sale (#176) in the end was somewhat cheaper than on the coins on the exchange. You could get your token for something betwenn 5-6$.

this happens very rare but happened pretty often in the beginning
there are some conditions that can cause a final price to be relatively low

Can someone explain to me how the price can grow this much on exchanges while the ICO is still running for quite some time and people are buying it there for around a quarter of the exchange price? Doesnt really makes sense to me. Kinf of tempted to buy at the ICO again and instant sell at the exchange, wouldnt this be a good idea?
Which coins have done this, like you said surely you could infinitely buy from ICO, sell on exchange, buy even more from ICO and repeat!

Maybe the reason is a lack of knowledge that the ICO is still open, people only see the exchange price and its increase and buy in through the exchange without first researching the coin.

I would love to know more about this!

Yeah thats also the only reason I can imagine actually. Maybe people are not aware that the ICO is still ongoing or they are just too lazy to participate this way when they already got their funds on the exchange and want to buy. But as the price difference is so huge, it really makes no sense to buy at an exchange I think.
I will give it a shot and buy more from the ICO and sell if the price holds on this level!

you do not understand
you CAN NOT buy EOS through the token sale much cheaper than on a exchange because a final price is always close to the market price

SO NOW EOS TOKEN SALE EMISSION HAS NO IMPACT ON MARKET PRICE

The October was the time when you had a chance to buy EOS at lowest price - no matter where
it was 0.5 USD
and THIS TIME IS OVER

now, if you try to participate in the token sale you will get your tokens for 8 or more usd

Hi guys. Is there a link that could guide me on how to register eos tokens bought from the exchanges? I'm still trying to figure it out. Thanks

everything you want to know and more can be found at https://eoscollective.org/

If you want to skip all of that and just go straight to the walk-through on registering tokens purchased on exchange, see below. Note: registration part of the walk-through begins at "Step 3" of the article:

I know that the wiki project is building something on EOS, are there any other projects that have shown concrete interest in building on the network?

Today it will be smart to sell EOS about $7-$8 and rebuy it below $5

Guys, can anyone explain how the token sale works? It shows 2 million tokens for sale now, and only 1k eth received in this period, does it mean 1 eth will get 2k eos? That is ridiculous comparing the price on exchange now.
In the last 1 hour to 30 mins there will be enough ether received, so that ICO price roughly matches Exchange price. this is my experience. Last moment there will be unexpected spike in ethers.

One question, if we buy eos through myetherwalet do we get the conversion rate (from the day of the transaction) or the day when we get eos in our wallet?Huh

You sell EOS at exchange, buy Ether and contribute to ICO. 9 out of 10 times you will hardly get any benefit (1-2 EOS extra may be) and sometimes you may get less EOS than you sold on exchange. People buying on exchange are smart actually, they can see price and make a decision, unlike ICO where last minute Ether contribution will be in several hundreds and you end up earning almost insignificant profit.

Highest ROI crypto infrastructure
Wonder if someone can clarify. You can contribute to EOS and get the tokens for 0.90c and they are trading on exchanges at $7?
No its not like that. Last minute buyers always raises more ethereum while its close to every round end.
I tried several times and didn't able to get some profit from it.
Buying from dips and selling from highs is more profitable then hunting.

Ah so the act of trying to get a reduced price from ICO is called 'hunting', nice terminology.

So this can only happen with auction lot styles of ICO, and is very unlikely that it occurs I suppose.

This is hat I love about the cryptocurrency market,  there are so many quirks around its operation but so interesting once you get to understand them!
