Is there anyway to run nodes or do mining of EOS to increase more coins?

Always watching and reading reviews and updates of EOS I hope that the project of EOS dev team will be a success, this will surely change a lot on the internet and the old school operating systems today.

I have to admit that I was getting scared when EOS was bouncing off .5 $ , so glad that my patience paid off and I held firm.

I seriously believe in this project but there is too much hate for Dan. Personally I really dig the guy and his philosophy concerning governments and think his strategy of releasing this to the community was pure genius.

Why is the price going up so fast last days. Any specific reason for this? There is much time until EOS finishes its ICO

Attractive low price and great prospects of the project.
Few weeks ago price was much more attractive and the prospect was the same.
Why price going up so fast now?
maybe there are some big news to be released
actually, the highest price of EOS is almost $7, and now is only $1.5, compare with other coins, the price will pump sooner or later even without any good news

the price is not enough to estimate perspectives - never forget about circulating and total volume
this is for example why ripple price is just $0.2 and will not be even $2 in near future

I've been watching the last round and it was scary because nether eosscan.io nor eos.io/distribution/ showed correct amount of contributed ETH
so I was "blind" and did not participate

is there other way to check current contribution?

none of the eth explorers agree on crowdsale address balance either:

https://etherchain.org/account/0xd0a6E6C54DbC68Db5db3A091B171A77407Ff7ccf
https://etherscan.io/address/0xd0a6E6C54DbC68Db5db3A091B171A77407Ff7ccf
https://live.ether.camp/account/d0a6E6C54DbC68Db5db3A091B171A77407Ff7ccf

any danger in block.one getting wrong numbers for these distributions?  is this discrepancy due to eth?

what would be the danger?

Is it not possible for the team to edit the amount of Ethers collected just to get higher market value for their tokens, there are alot of shady things in this space

imo, they stand more to gain by honoring the crowdsale honestly than they do through unethical actions like that. i don't see the motivation.

also, fwiw, block.one has pledged transparency on this issue and they're in process of engaging a third party firm to conduct an audit. note: i'm not saying it will happen - simply reporting block.one's assertion.

Question, does anyone know if performance testing will be done before mainnet launch to make sure it will perform as expected? Or will performance be optimized over time (ie after production launch)?
You can try to install EOS dawn 1.1 on an Ubuntu 16 to beta testing related with EOS platform
You can check the explanation about it on steemit the link below,

I am not the programmer but if you have any question about the development of EOS you can make questions
on the group of Dev EOS on telegram, the community of EOS will help you join on here EOS

Does anyone know if snapshot will be part of dec 4 testnet launch? GitHub has the milestone for the snapshotting moved from 2.0 to “sometime” in the future.

the dev working on the snapshot (sandwich) has been conducting test snapshots along the way. he just did one last week and posted some statistics about what it revealed.

I'm not sure what the change in the milestone is referencing... there's additional work going into the snapshot code to help provide tokens to people who either 1) didn't register, or 2) accidentally send tokens to the contract address (effectively burning them). Perhaps these contingency mechanisms is why it's being pushed back?

they're not as good, imo, but you can also check out:

it'll likely occur as part of the multi-node public testnet that will launch in december.
