From my understanding, dapps that are built on the EOS software have the ability to be used for free. I'm confused about the utility of the EOS tokens. Its quite vague in the website FAQ. Whats the purpose of EOS tokens, from its trading value?

The tokens are going to be somewhat like staking. The more that you hold the more of the system you get to use. If you hold 1% then you can utilize 1% of the power of the blockchain. You will be able to use more temporarily if no one else needs it.

There are some good YouTube videos were Dan explains it very well. The Devs can practice on the testnet but when it goes live they will need to hold some EOS to power their product

I also hold some EOS, in my opinion, EOS is an innovative coin, even if he is very difficult to achieve very high, but if realized, he will make us a huge return.
Is it too late to buy? Im waiting for the correction of the price.. but don't want to wait until it goes much higher...

My initial reaction was to reason past it in the same manner you suggested: it's not in the interest of a party with a concentrated stake to harm the ecosystem through which their stake derives value. That said, I'd like to see the conversation along these lines continue because I think there's more to it than the basic conclusion we've both come to.

I thought about investing in EOS when it was only presented, but now I see that because of such an ICO model and enormous supply the price by the end of ICO should be much lower. So it could be reasonable to invest closer to the end.

As for the whole project, it is great and I hope that implementation would start as soon as it is possible. Who knows how many great projects will start soon and what place EOC will take there.

Are you also planning on waiting until all the Bitcoins are mined before you invest in BTC ? Same logic applies here. IMHO I wouldn't wait

EOS is an innovative coin, we need to give him a few years, if we can achieve, we can get a considerable return, after all, this is a great project! Roll Eyes

A few years? That's the good thing: Dan is always quite fast with releasing his projects. Only 1,5 week to go until the testnet. That one already allows 10K transactions per second:

https://medium.com/@eosforumorg/the-eos-testnet-is-here-in-1-month-heres-what-to-expect-2ef546cac6f1

Next to that they are ahead of schedule:

https://medium.com/@eosforumorg/eos-development-ahead-of-schedule-92dba5958535

And next to that contracts can be written in C++ which is a well known programming language. So dApp-devs could test their stuff in the coming weeks and months only to go live with the EOS blockchain in June.

This is a truly exciting project, what just scares me from investing now is the mind boggling capitalisation which EOS would have at current prices, difficult to evaluate...

Does anyone have that EOS wallpaper that was initially used for the EOS Website? The black and grey, optical illusion type wallpaper.

Hey guys, is it possible to send EOS directly from my wallet in binance to my MEW?
Of course yes you can do that, but you must register your myetherwallet on the wallet smart contract of EOS:
You need to register your MEW with an EOS public key, you can check the full of tutorial about it on this link https://steemit.com/eos/@sandwich/how-to-update-the-eos-public-key-mapped-registered-to-your-ethereum-wallet-with-myetherwallet-mew
And if you want do claim the EOS token here is good to know how to cheap claim of EOS.

Any proposed ways to earn passive income in eos? Earlier I read about leasing your tokens. However, is that just people coming up with random ideas, or is it really feasible?

My EOS tokens are already being shown in myetherwallet and I already see the token symbol as well as the amount that I have. Based on that does it mean that they have been registered? How can I verify if they are registered?

Did you get your tokens through crowdsale? Exchange? If exchange, did you register them?

I recommend this site: Www.eoscollective.org

Go to resources tab then “crowdsale and registering page” - there’s a link for an article that’ll show you how to cofirm confirm registration through MEW if it’s already been done. And if it’s not, the first link on that page is sandwich’s complete guide. Step 3 of the time guide is the registration process.

EOS is a project that surprised me. The future he described makes me dream of letting me see the future of cryptocurrency, but the difficulty of realizing it is also considerable.
