The price is headed lower. It is not some limited ICO , the first window anyone could contribute ended below 1$, why would anyone pay 4$ for it now ? It doesn't make sense. The ICO price has been higher than the exchange price for 2 days now. It's going back below 2$ and I am not saying this because I hate EOS, I invested over 20 ETH and have sold, waiting to buy back in

Do you think EOS will defeat Ethereum?

Why EOS hitted exchanges while ICO is ongoing?

The ICO was only the first day, the ongoing sale is going to last for over 340 more days and no one wants to wait a year to trade the coins they bought.
But its better so buy on exchanges? I dont get that

First research, then invest. If you don't get something here, you are not ready to invest.
That's why I'm asking here

The price you pay on the ico is determined every 23 hours by how many contributions are made during that period, 2 million tokens / total ETH.

Unless you think they are going to receive $2-3 billion in donations for their project over the course of the year, then the tokens will be cheaper in a few days / weeks / months as the contributions fall.

Who can explain anything? What's happening?

You need to follow the instructions on the EOS site to claim your tokens

It's up to you where you buy, compare prices on ICO and exchanges and decide wheter to join ICO and when exactly. This confusion was created intentionally to drive both: the volume on exchanges, and ICO money flow.

So what's your forecast for EOS today? I'm thinking about buying now it's cheaper, but I don't like the tendency at all.

The current price puts EOS market cap at over 2.5bil without any working prototype or proof of concept. It's already double the market cap of DASH only after being in the market for like a few days?

IMO, definitely overvalued right now.

It's a honeypot for the greedy. Probably go down in the history books.

Personally I will wait several days because I have a feeling there will be a day with much better opportunity but I'm still not convinced about buying it at all. You do whatever you want. Remember crypto is a big risk Wink

EOS way of running ICO is genius - in sense of making money for people that stand behind it. People's greed to reselling fast is raised to square due to putting it on exchange versus ongoing ICO. Every day's money flow into EOS team hands is like other projects during days/weeks. And this will happen till people's greed will end, so it won't stop.
Funniest/saddest thing is that it all happens without any working product, any development moves from devs, they don't have to do nothing at all, at least for next few weeks. But they already gathered plenty of money so whatever.

yes I was watching both rounds first one was around $1 with 200M tokens distributed, second $6 with only 2M tokens so the weighted average price for token sold is still $1.05 so the token holders from round 1 could dump the price to $2 and still be in 2x profit, bear in mind this...

Wait...so http://eosscan.io/ says that the current price is $0.65. Does that mean that contributors now would get it cheaper than the first round?
current price doesn't mean anything, it will go higher during the day as more contributions are flowing, the price you get the tokens for, is at the end of each round, then it will be restarted to $0 and grows again for the next day...

final prices:
round #1 => $0.91 -> 200M tokens
round #2 => $1.76 -> 2M
round #3 => $6.23 -> 2M
round #4 => $3.67 -> 2M
round #5 => ongoing

so the current weighted average in general is $1 ($0.996699 to be exact) for 1 EOS token
everybody buying it in these 2M rounds is buying very expensive and in consideration of the amount in first round distributed, you will see the price in market to go lower and lower

Why EOS hitted exchanges while ICO is ongoing?
because you will get the tokens after end of each round so you can sell them if you wish

You say 3rd round is mad cheap?
Are you OK with your calculations? Or what are you comparing to?
Round 2 was more expensive, yes.
But try to compare to round 1. Grin
