I have no doubt this will get back up to at least $14 in the coming months. I just bought back in on the latest dump and did not catch the bottom too well. I got in around 12.30 and 11.80. I'm still happy about that...

As far as I see, EOS still hasn't been fully launched. We need 15% of all tokens to vote for a favorite blockproducer to activate the chain (now less than 1%).

why a so low number of voting ?

Most investors are not interested in any developmental activity, all they want is to make money from an increasing price. They have no idea about this voting process.

I read that you have to give your private key in order to vote. I don't know if that was trolling or not but first thing i learned is hide your private key and never give it to noone.

How many tokens are on exchanges? If they dont vote, this might be a serious Problem. Cant imagine that more than 5 %  of all tokens are held by people that know about this voting process [probably less, unless we include block one], and many of them dont know how to vote. So, unless block one and big exchanges vote, 15% might be a far to high threshold.. IMO, voting is the biggest weakness in all DPOS Systems, most "Investors" are just speculators, and cant be bothered with active participation. Even most well known bluechip Stocks probably rarely ever reach 15% turnout..

You know, in crypto there are already fully functional projects , so a new coin must present effective improvements to succeed. ..

thank you  for response, they could  be disappointed, moreover the market is presently dreadful..
even a 15% threshold is a very low rate.

very unusual. An awful lot of positive news about the EOS platform. even the rumored able to rival the ethereum. With its technology which is very unusual. I think it could be the EOS is really able to compete alongside ethereum.

EOS is promising, although it is similar to the Ethereum. many say that the only thing that distinguishes EOS from the Ethereum is only high productivity. nevertheless, these coins are good as a speculative tool, as attracting new developers will become a base for popularization, and therefore, will increase the value of tokens.

When do we get tokens? Also how will it work? I transferred my eos to mew and registered before the deadline, is there anything I need to do?

has anybody experienced troubles with newest nvidia 397 driver and gtx980 card ??

I wanted to give it a try, but can't update to the latest driver, other cards are fine with it, except mentioned gtx980

the latest driver, which works ok with all cards is 391

How is that relevant to anything in this thread? What need do you have of gfx cards when running an eos client?

Good afternoon. I also recently learned about this news. It is very unfortunate that they hacked such a exchange. I hope investors will return their coins.

I think this exchange being hacked may have something to do with it:-
https://ethereumworldnews.com/cryptos-dump-as-korean-exchange-coinrail-gets-hacked/

A few hours ago crypto markets plunged losing over 14 billion dollars in just a few hours. At the same time news emerged that South Korean crypto exchange Coinrail had suffered an incursion resulting in the theft of various altcoins.

This exchange is not very important  Undecided
