For my first prediction for Boxing Day, on the match between Hull City and Manchester City, I chose to bet on the victory of Manchester City.

Why did I choose this bet ?

Hull is in great difficulty in that first half of season and has is occupying the red lantern rank (the last one for those that are not aware of that expression) in Premier League with 3 points of retard on the first team out of the relegation zone. Mike Phelan's men are in a serie of 6 matchs without a victory (3 defeats and 3 draws). Last week-end, they lost on the littlest margin on West Ham's ground (1-0).
Manchester City is actually 3rd of Premier League with 7 points of retard on the leader Chelsea and 1 on the second, Liverpool. After doing two consecutive defeats, Citizens started back the march to the points with 2 wins out of 2 matchs. Last week-end, they obtained a precious victory at home against Arsenal (2-1).
Manchester City has the players to get a 3rd consecutive victory in Premier League by winning that Monday at the Hull's stadium. Even if Agüero is suspended for that match, Hull is so weak that it shouldn't be a problem for the rest of the team that is still there.

For today's prediction, on the matchs Hoffenheim-Werder Bremen and Bordeaux-Nice, I chose to bet on the victories of Hoffenheim and Nice.

Why did I choose these bets ?

Bordeaux-Nice : Winner of that same team of Nice in Coupe de la Ligue (3-2), Bordeaux is at the contrary completely out of the game and is now 10th rank of the leaderboard, 7 points behind Lyon, 4th. In fact, Nicolas Pallois stay on 3 consecutive in Ligue 1 against Lille (0-1), Monaco (0-4) and Montpellier last Saturday (4-0).
After 2 matchs without a success at Paris (good draw at Parc des Princes 2-2) and against Bordeaux and against Bordeaux in cup, Nice won back at home last Sunday against Dijon (2-1), with a double from Balotelli. Leader, the players of Lucien Favre realised the big numerical operation of the 18th day of championship et possess now 4 points of advance on Monaco and 7 on Paris.
If the Aiglons hold behind, Nice can take its revenge on a decimated Bordeaux team and celebrate its Autumn champion title by a victory.

For today's prediction, on the match between Monaco and Caen, I chose to bet on the victory of Monaco.

Why did I choose this bet ?

After 2 demonstrations on Bordeaux's ground (0-4) and against Rennes in Coupe de la Ligue (7-0), Monaco fall from high in the reception of Lyon that Sunday (1-3). Following that defeat at home, Radamel Falcao's team mates now have 4 points of retard on Nice, but they still have 3 points of advance on Paris.
Unable to win since 4 encounters of championship, Caen met back victory against Metz last week-end (3-0) and climbed to the 16th rank of the leaderboard. Thanks to that success, they have now 2 points of advance on the red zone.

For today's prediction, on the match between Guingamp and Paris, I chose to bet on the victory of Paris.

Why did I choose this bet ?

Victor a Nantes in the previous day (2-0), Guingamp missed the train away when they lost against Saint-Étienne (1-0=. At the 6th rank of Ligue 1, Jimmy Briand's team mates however confirmed their good form that season, by getting the qualification in Coupe de la Ligue on Wednesday (2-2, 3-4 shootouts).

For today's prediction, on the match between Monaco and Lyon, I chose to bet on the victory of Monaco.

Why did I choose this bet ?

Monaco, best attack of Europe just destroyed 7-0 Rennes in Coupe de la Ligue... with a B team !!! I don't see how could Lyon stand just a second the compariosn with them. For those that don't remember Monaco's last 3 matchs excluding the C1 match that had no important where the reserve players played, it was 5-0 against Bastia, 0-4 against Bordeaux, and they where leading 0-2 after just 5 minutes, and that 7-0 against Rennes. Lyon's ones were 0-0 against Sevilla, 1-0 against Rennes and 2-2 against Guingamp. Definitely not the same caliber of teams, and I predict the worst for the Gones.
Monaco is the clear to be on fire and will prove it again that week-end against Lyon that is completely missing its irst half of season. Monaco odds are again very generous so don't miss it !

For today's prediction, on the match between Paris and Lille, I chose to bet on the victory of Paris.

Why did I choose this bet ?

3rd of Ligue 1, Paris is living a true black period with 3 consecutive matchs without a victory, against Montpellier (3-0), Ludogorets in C1 (2-22) and Nice at home in championship that Sunday (2-2). There has been an higher game quality against Nice, but they still worrying behind et can thank a lot Cavani, double goalscorer that week-end.

Why did I choose this bet ?

After a good serie of 12 matchs without a defeat and consecutive successes against Lyon (1-2) and Angers (2-0), PSG had a very difficult week after being exloded by Montpellier last week-end (3-0) for their worst defeat since 5 years ! They also got a miraculous draw at Parc against Ludogorets on Tuesday in Champions League (2-2) that is relegating them to the second place of its group. Relegated also to the 3rd rank of Ligue 1, Serge Aurier's team mates have the occasion to come back at a gap of 1 point against their opponent of the day tonight.
Still leader of Ligue 1 at the beggining of the day (before the big victory of Monaco yesterday), Nice still has 4 points of advance over Paris. In confidence, the Aiglons of Lucien Favre got 3 consecutive successes in 10 days, against Guingamp (0-1), Toulouse (3-0) and Krasnodar in Europa League that Thursday (2-0), with an important turnover, since they were mandatorily eliminated and that match had no importance except for the statistics. If Younès Belhanda's team mates win in the capital tonight, they would have a gorgeous advance of 7 points !
Not in its best form currently, PSG can still have some problems tonight against Nice that are coming without pression, while if Paris loses, that will be the beggining of a big crisis. For today's prediction, on the match between Bordeaux and Monaco, I chose to bet on Monaco 0.

Why did I choose this bet ?

Winner over Dijon in 14th day (3-2) and aggressive on Bastia's ground (1-1), Bordeaux wasted it all by losing at home against Lille last weekend (0-1) with a missed penalty of Rolan (Bordeaux). Following that defeat, Bordeaux saw its serie of 8 consecutive matchs without a defeat to be broken and are now 7th at the leaderboard, with 3 points of retard on the 4th.
Having a complicated match on Dijon's ground (1-1) (damn match !), Monaco perfectly climbed back to the level they've shown us until now against Bastia (5-0), and retrieved the 2nd rank of Ligue 1, with 3 points less than Nice. Engaged in Champions League that Wednesday, they had some problems on Bayer Leverkusen's ground (3-0), but Leonardo Jardim, Monaco's trainer, did a complete and total turnover.
Bordeaux can show us a great match at home and keep a point of the encouter, as Monaco can do the same, and win. The draw or Monaco is a good option, but odds are rather low, so I elected to bet on Monaco 0 (draw no bet).

After 2 encounters without a defeat in championship, Ingolstadt lost again last weekend, on Werder Bremen's ground (2-1). Impressive by its regularity (take that Lyon !), the promoted is in a serie of 8 consecutive victories in championship and dominated a Schalke team that was in a big confidence last weekend (2-1).
Logically, Leipzig will win at the actual worst at leaderboard team's stadium.

For today's prediction, on the match between Montpellier and Paris, I chose to bet on the victory of Paris.

Why did I choose this bet ?

After 4 matchs without a defeat in championship, but not with many victories, Montpellier finally fell on Toulouse's ground week (1-0). 14th of Ligue 1, Ryad Boudebouz were before in a serie of two consecutive draws, at Bastia (1-1), and at home against Nancy last Saturday (0-0). Just to note that Montpellier won only 3 matchs that season, against Angers on 1st day (1-0), against Caen on 9th day (3-2) and against Marseille on 12th day (3-1). All were at home though.
In a superb serie of 12 consecutive matchs without a defeat, Paris has now more points than Monaco and is actually at the 2nd rank, with one point of retard on the leader, Nice. Winners over Lyon away for the choc of that 14th day last Sunday (1-2), and then over Angers at Parc des Princes that Wednesday (2-0), Hatem Ben Harfa's team mates stay on 5 important victories in Ligue 1.
In a big positive dynamic, Paris will logically dominate Montpellier that Saturday. Unai Emery sent like a team B for Angers, and will probably put a 11-type tomorrow, since Ligue 1 is tight and Ludogorets won't be hard to hold at home.

Last 6 matchs of Paris were 5 victories : against, from oldest to most recent, Lille (0-1), Basel (1-2), Rennes (4-0), Nancy (2-0) and Lyon (1-2) and 1 draw, against thebig team of Arsenal (2-2). What to add ? All that teams were stronger than Angers, so Paris will have an easy game.
Let's talk about the SCO now. For today's prediction, on the match between Dijon and Monaco, I chose to bet on the victory of Monaco.

Why did I choose this bet ?

Another incredibly highly unjustified odds bet I'll share with you. Let's analyse it :
On its last 5 matchs, Dijon won none, lost two and drawed two. Encouraging ! Scores were, from the oldest to the most recent : 1-1 at home against Sochaux in Coupe de la Ligue, 0-0 away against Bastia, 3-3 at home against Guingamp, 1-0 away against Nancy and 3-2 away against Bordeaux. So the two last ones wre defeats. Not a good progression so.
On the other hand, we have a fantastic Monaco has simply nothing else than 5 victories on its last 5 matchs, and two of those were in Europa League ! On that 5 matchs, they scored 18 goals and only took 1, against Tottenham. Very impressive... They're not called the best attack of Europe for nothing !
For me, all is said. Even if Dijon is a team that has an important place in my heart, they stand no chance compared to Monaco. I was never wrong on Monaco, and all the time there was very high odds, so don't lose that opportunity !

Why did I choose this bet ?

Still leader of Ligue 1 with 3 points of advance on its closest opponents if not counting the earlier matchs of that day, Nice forgot the defeat against Caen in the 12th day (1-0), with an important success against Saint-Étienne last Sunday (0-1). On a serie of 3 defeats on its last 5 matchs all competitions mixed, Lucien Favre's player officialised that they're eliminated of Europa League that Tuesday, with a logical defeat on Schalke's ground (2-0). However, I don't see such a serie badly, since two of the three defeats were in Europa League, something that Favre didn't care about at all, as the late entries of its best players against Schalke. They focused on Ligue 1 and that's maybe the reason of their success.
Without a single victory in the 6 last matchs, Bastio is slowly sinking at the bottom of the leaderboard and is actually 16th, juste before the relegation zone. Beaten on Lyon's ground after a disastrous match, with an own goal scored and a red card (2-1), they then conceded the draw at home, at Furiani last Saturday, against Montpellier (1-1).
Nice can keep its 1st rank by beating a Bastia team that is greatly suffering when playing away from its island.
