Why did I choose these bets ?
Netherlands-France : Big team missing at the Euro in France after a disastrous qualification campaign, Netherlands are in a complete rebuild process. Beaten by Greece in a friendly match before the beggining of those qualifications (1-2), Wesley Sneijder's team mates at the inverse started well their qualification for the coming World Cup by getting a draw point against Sweden in the first day (1-1), before exploding Bielorussia with the same score France did with Bulgaria the same day (4-1)
Beaten by Portugal in the finale of Euro (
), got back to business with a very good friendly match against Italy at the beggining of September (1-3). However, the first match of the qualifications, against Bielorussia wasn't a success (0-0). Finally, they erased that by a large victory over Bulgaria after an early penalty (4-1) (do note that matchs with an early penalty are generally a victory for the team !).That seems balanced, but it isn't : Netherlands will have to play without its defenders Van Aanholt (Sunderland), Janmaat (Watford) et and its offensive players de Jong (PSV) and Berghuis (Feyenoord), with also the captain not playing, Sneijder. This add them to the list with Arjen Robben (Bayern) and Van Persie (écarté).
Even with the absence of Rami (FC Sevilla), Mangala (Valence), Umtiti (Barcelone) and the early international retreat of Mathieu (Barcelone), the defense Varane-Koscielny is good. Sagna injuried against Bulgaria, Sidibé will start on the right side. At the attack, Gameiro (Atletico Madrid) perfectly took its chance by scoring a two goals on Friday and will play a lot better than Giroud.
Macedonia-Italy : Last of its group of qualifications for the Euro with only 4 points in 10 matchs, Macedonia already lost its two first matchs. Dominated by not a lot by Albania with a late goal (2-1), Macedonians then lost against Israel (1-2), by missing a late second penalty.
After a sucessful Euro whil everyone predicted them the worst, the qualifications campaign started well for the Italians and their new trainer, Ventura after a victory (3-1) in Israel after goals of Pellé, Candreva and Immobile. On Thursday, the Squadra suffered in Turin against Spain, but finally got a draw (1-1).
Already without its middle Ibraimi (Astana) and its offensive player Trajkovski (Palerme), Macedonia lost its vice-captain on Thursday Shikov on an injury. Goran Pandev and Nesterovski, two (not so awesome) players playing in Serie A, should be placed at the attack.
On Thursday, though the Italians took a point they lost Montolivo that was strongly injuried on an attack from Ramos and is suffuring a very important injury at the knee. Its season is already finished... Pellé got excluded from the group after having refused to shake the hand of its new trainer after getting replaced. Chiellini was suspended agaist Spain but Juve did not let him play that match for medical reasons. Verratti should replace Montolivo in the 11. Except those, everyone is here with Parolo, de Rossi and Eder.
