No. We want to keep the project independent and that’s why we have decided to do a crowdfunding. Instead of issuing shares, we will allow our early supporters to participate on our success by earning bitcoins from referral sales.

sounds great Smiley

where did you quote that from?

This is awesome products, can you also integrate other cryptocurrencies, or only BTC?
If you read this page or the last one you would have seen that it's possible.
You can also read this:  http://www.bitcointrezor.com/faq/

If you are interested in alt currency use of myTREZOR and have good connections in those communities please contact me for a port of the Bits of Proof backend.

I'm guessing that something in the Trezor was getting overcharged and being disconnected discharged  and drained the offending electronic parts.

I've been testing few devices and they've been powered on for several weeks without single failure. If it will happen next time, please write to [email protected] and we'll replace your device.

P.S. No where does it say not to leave the Trezor connected and powered up 24/7....

No need to post on 4 different places. We got your support ticket and we are working on it.

Well so sorry for my panic!

UPDATE:

I disconnected the Trezor, did some errands, and guess what? After around 11 hours of being un-powered, the Trezor is now acting normally! Bright OLED screen and everything.

I'm guessing that something in the Trezor was getting overcharged and being disconnected discharged  and drained the offending electronic parts.

I know now just to connect the Trezor when actually using it and disconnect when done...

Say I liked the looks of my Trezor, so I left it connected to my iMac 24/7 (well for about three days straight.)

Today, the OLED screen starts to blink erratically.... now the OLED is completely BLANK (dark). But the mytrezor website shows the normal "connected" message when I got the trezor plugged in.

I put in a password in the Trezor and now I can't see the numbers on the Trezor grid so I can input it on the mytrezor web.

Please help me!  And I hope I can recover my bitcoins on mytrezor...

Can you please explain why do i need to ask the devs of litecoin/namecoin for this ? because your software/device is a wallet that only manages the keys and signs the transactions to be pushed into the blockchains, for me just looks like a software thing from your end.

There needs to be altcoin blockchain explorer with BIP44 support in the first place (like there is Bits of Proof server for Bitcoin). Then they need to integrate TREZOR communication protocol into their software. Second step is optional because we can add altcoin support to myTREZOR if the first requirement is met.

Found this on my Trezor.. confirmation that litecoin and namecoin is in development.

Any eta ?

Indeed TREZOR already does support these. Now it's turn for Litecoin/Namecoin developers to support TREZOR. You have to ask them for ETA.

can the trezor be set up in such a way to make it so that if your trezor was stolen by someone sophisticated such as a government that they wouldn't be able to get your bitcoins off of it. perhaps by requiring a very strong password to be entered pc side?

You can set an additional passphrase that will be added to the seed.
You can even use different ones for plausible deniability. You will get a different wallet for reach passphrase.

It requires a PIN (4-8 digit?) to be entered to sign transactions. The smart feature is that every wrong PIN attempt increases the amount of time that passes until the next permitted attempt. The length of time increases exponentially.

If that's not good enough, I believe there's an option to encrypt the whole device too, that fulfills what you're looking for to the letter. Possibly a good security measure against Trezor targeting malware too, although it sounds like any attempts at that would need to be an inventive design (the bootloader only runs software signed by a key from Satoshi Labs, and I'd naturally assume that the bootloader and the certificate the device checks against is on some variation of ROM chip)
