May Bitcoin be touched by his Noodly Appendage
I'd like to see the emulated firmware finished because for now we can't test everything

I do not sell Bitcoins. I sell SHA256(SHA256()).
Are people really preordering this junk? Might as well as send all your BTC to stick and slush now, saves you from complaining later when a bug gets "discovered" and your trezor is empty.

Here you go: https://github.com/bitcoin-solutions/trezorj/wiki/Trezor-on-Raspberry-Pi-from-scratch

I'll keep you updated on progress with the Java library. We're calling it Trezorj - hope that's OK.

That looks nice. Exciting stuff!

Nice one Gary !

When Gary and I were discussing last week who was going to do what (we have various projects on the go at the moment) we realised that it would be more efficient if Gary worked on the Trezor integration and I worked on other things.

I am a bit envious I must admit !

Would anyone be interested in a set of comprehensive instructions for getting the Shield to work with a bare RPi?

That would be really nice. If you write them, we'll merge them into the official documentation.

Just thought I'd let people know that Jim has delivered the MultiBit Trezor Shield to me and I have started work in earnest on a Java support library. After a bit of initial faffing to configure the bare RPi I managed to get the Shield running.

Would anyone be interested in a set of comprehensive instructions for getting the Shield to work with a bare RPi?

This is not OK.
It's a cool idea so I've gone and ordered one.

Things I'd like to see though:
NFC
Some form of password entry on the device itself (such as my rhythm idea above Wink )

^hehe that's kinda why i'm tempted to buy the aluminum one too. mostly the macbook thing, but the other reasons too

apple fanboy complains about expensive hardware... weird.

hehe but it's worth it for the macbook. the extra aluminum casing around a bitcoin wallet: cool, aesthetically pleasing, but it's not like i have an amazing user interface or anything as compared to the cheaper version

i want one but this is so damn expensive

3 BTCs for something that will protect your bitcoins is very worth it! I would pay 50BTCs for something like this.

but how can we trust the creators? they have funny accents

lol!

also: why pay 3 if you can pay 1?

Well Slush created the first mining pool, I doubt he is hurting for bitcoins where he needs to steal mine.

Cause it would go good with my macbook pro, also I wanted to support the project. Plus I can afford 3 BTCs so why not?

you realize I was answering to vokain saying "this is so damn expensive" and gweedo answering something about 3 BTC.
