All paid signature campaigns should be banned.

AFAIK:  No.

I want a payment address for my website though it has to be the same one every time
Ideally you would give each customer a unique address.  That way you know who paid and when.  If you give the same address to all customers how do you know who paid you?  Also, given your one single address for all payments I, your competitor, can easily see a record of all of your sales.

But yes, you can do it that way if you can figure out how to match payments to customers...

I would like to stress that the use of a different address for each transaction is by design.

Address reuse is strongly discouraged.

But, as stated above, if you really want to you can reuse them - again highly discouraged.

I have a question about trezor... It seams that everytime I receive money it generates a new address....... Will I still be able to use the older addresses to receive bitcoin?
Yes , you can . no problem ( even it's not recomanded to reuse old adresses.)

I've tried out Trezor and I love it.

I've had a few problems with my computer detecting Trezor but switching cables fixed it.

I'd also rather have it included with a micro to micro cable instead of a micro to usb.

For those wondering about shipping time, it only took a week to ship from Czech Republic to Canada.

Is it safe to purchase a Trezor wallet from someone else (that you might not trust)? Is there any way that something could go wrong if the wallet was tampered with somehow?

How much value does a day devoid of paranoia hold to you?

The fact you through in "might not trust" tells me you know the right answer.

If you want to save a few bucks just wait for another sale or mine on slush's pool for a bit.

I missed where mining on Slush's pool gets a discount.
I was mining there for a month or so and thinking about going back.
I will check the FAQ again.

Could use this device on blockchain.nifo ? or just Bitcoin wallet-qt ?
Neither of those support the Trezor. It has to be used with either Electrum, myTrezor, Multibit HD or Mycellium.

It's possible, although not an easy attack.

If you buy a possibly tampered trezor, you could just overwrite the firmware to make sure it's not been tampered with. But it is theoretically possible for the hardware to be changed such that it will accept the official firmware and STILL send the bitcoin to a different address than it displays to you.

But long story short, the few dollars you save buying a used trezor is very likely not worth it.

https://mytrezor.com down ? Sad

Makes me consider Electrum even more, just not sure about the privacy that way.

If you want privacy, use Trezor on Android with Mycelium through Tor.

Rassad, so Mycelium servers can see all our tx's and balances, right?

The xpub keys don't get sent to Mycelium server. The account gets set up just like a normal Mycelium account, where all the information on it is only on your phone. It just asks you to plug in your Trezor when the wallet app needs to sign a transaction. Mycelium servers do see you broadcasting a transaction (use Tor), and can tell which addresses are yours when you update balances (again, use Tor), but so can any node you connect to with any SPV wallet.  At least Mycelium doesn't log any transactions or balance requests, and as far as anyone else on the network knows, your transactions originated from Mycelium servers, not from your phone.

thank you for this.  this is the first time i've seen on this thread where this has been made clear.

Check the emphasis. I don't think the link between your addresses are protected at all, they're just discovered in a different way (the same leakage any SPV mode entails)

i get that.  i was referring to the fact that the xpub is NOT transmitted to their server.  that's a good thing.

Wooww it's so amazing! How does it work? I think trezor is best wallet apps with the best transcaction. I decided to get my experience wirh trezor, it is cool right?
Trezor is a great wallet.  I especially like the fact you can reconstruct your entire account and transaction history from the 24 word seed.  This makes backups easy (not needed).

I gave my parent's a Trezor to keep their Bitcoins.  Safe, secure, easy.
