Esports betting nowadays is getting bigger because like gambling and trading, esports betting is the other entertainment way of earning profits. It is a gambling outcome from the competitive games. In addition, Esports betting is a huge industry and it is essentially gives people the ability to place bets on esports competitions.

30k is not fully enough in making a Esports betting website, because it needs a lot of money to develop a betting sites. I guess you need to find a sponsor betting that will supports you on developing your sites and a professional in esports betting so that it will guide you on what is the necessary info that needed in your ideal esports betting.

You need to accept as many payment option that you could put on into your site not just crypto,
Because when it comes to betting it wouldn't always be just crypto owner who would place their bets there are also some non-crypto who would try to use your platform once they know that it is a great site to bet.
Great promotion and honesty this is what you need in order to gain the trust of many gamblers.
If you couldn't do or give out something then don't promise it to your gamblers just to make them stay this would ruined your reputation.

This will be a long way to go.

OP needs to enhance his knowledge first on what is managing a website is all about including those basic ones and technical ones. Also needs knowledge about what is crypto gambling betting is all about. Having capital isn't enough.

You can seek advice on those reputable site owners here or on their forum representative and if lucky, hope one of those will respond and will help you with some suggestions.

I dont mind learning a thing or two from you.

i dont think site owners will share something because they are afraid that it can threaten thier casino  .

asking on this forum is already okay because there are knowledgeable people on here too that are also expert on the related field   . yup having a capital is not enough if only you will shoulder the work on your own , that is why owners hire other people too on different fields because it is really hard to manage a casino on your own  .  you can use your capital to do so   . esports right now have growned alot so yes its worth too own  one  .
Acquiring knowledge by means of reading and continue researching are very helpful to those who wanted to own or manage such business, if you still have extra money you can also hire someone to work with you. Or you can partner with people who have the knowledge but lack with money to use.
There are people around who can help you up but be very careful since potential scammers are also rounding up to scam you.

I would like to develop an esport based betting platform, is it worth it?

E-sports is a billion dollar industry. I think it is very much worth it to get into it. But do you think an esport based betting platform would be enough? Since you would likely spend the same amount of resources, you should build your platform including other niches like sports betting. It would incur a little more cost maintaining it but there will be more venues for more income.

What are the things i would need to watch out for?

How much would i need; Is $30k enough?
I think it is enough to build it but will require more to promote, maintain and fund your operations. And since you have a very limited funds, you should watch out for hackers who will exploit your security and steal your money.

A hacker steal my money i would hunt them.

A great UI is important and all, but the odds should be as accurate as possible and should provide the users with the notion that the odds given is above all fair without any shred of cheating of the site. $30k seems small ngl. I think it depends on what web providers your going to register for. It varies from provider to provider I think, but other than that, there's also the maintenance and the personnel you need. If you were making it alone, then in the long run, trust me, you'd suffer. There's a lot to manage when it comes to betting platforms because of the massive amount of information one has to gather depending on the teams there are.

Hello Community,
I would like to develop an esport based betting platform, is it worth it?

Aside from  having a good functioning website with a great UI, what else do you think the users would like?

I hope to hear suggestions and inputs from experts in the house.
I don't know if $30K is enough to build an e-sports betting website considering that you will need some partners in it and the bankroll you will need to run your plan e-sport betting site. There are very good programming teams out there that are willing to build your e-sport betting website I think you won't have any problems with finding one, especially there are many here on this forum who has an experience building it.

One of the users wants to a betting website is the promotions that a new website can give to the users and active support to carry out the problem of the users.

For me, the best thing you need is the security. Make sure that all the winnings and all the transactions are safe and will definitely came to the user/client. Is it worth it indeed, because there are many people who are now into esports. Also make sure that your websjte will be fair for the clients. So that it will not have many issues.

Do not focus only on the cryptocurrency deposit or withdrawal.

Also, you should supported an item game as a deposit, withdrawal or gambling method. Making a marketplace exchange between crypto, fiat & item game also would be good, every user has a different option they can choose. About the eSport game, you can choose a favorite game like CSGO / Dota2 this both game to have a huge player.

-snip-
  • It should be had a feature of where to watch esports online, there should be a live stream in esports matches on the platform
-snip-
  • The last one is a great odds level
Everyone was comfortable watching the stream on Twitch or on their game spectator, i think we don't need to do that it just makes the website heavier.

Also about the ODDS, All depend on users who betting on that match. If the total wagger on team A more than team B then team B should have a high odds than team A, Lets the odds be organic without manipulation.

I think most people here are users or gamblers, even me I can't estimate how much the actual cost if you make an Esport betting platform.

Aside from  having a good functioning website with a great UI, what else do you think the users would like?
It has been almost all mentioned above but let me add something on my own.
  • It should be had a feature of where to watch esports online, there should be a live stream in esports matches on the platform
  • Of course, as always there is a quick answer from your support team when the user has a problem not just a bot
  • Proper regulations
  • The last one is a great odds level

There's this E-sport betting group i have on my discord that had 700+ members and folks there stake between $30-40 per game, and for that reason i though $30k could just be enough, i dont really know i could be wrong.

Anyways, would try to keep my options open and see how i need to push this into reality.

Nothing is certain when it comes to business success because all things or results would vary on how your platform do give out different service compared to others.

Go for something unique or offers which doesnt exist on other competitors and building a platform wont really be that cheap. 30k? I cant say the exact thing but considering

on all sectors do have a sports betting site then you would need more than that.Great UI/UX should be standard imho.

Something else like what?

You planning to use only cryptocurrency in the eSport betting website?
For me, if you will only allow cryptocurrency, it will be rough. It's kinda there are only few people that into eSports that using cryptocurrency (for me), but if you will add more payments like Dota2 items, CSGO items or any other items in some eSports game could help you.

At the moment, not many esports players are into crypto yet so that would be his main gridlock. And if he includes the bankroll, $30k is a small amount of money. Marketing alone would consume that amount of money. eSports betting is already a multi-billion dollar industry, but if you are a new guy in the block, it would be hard to get bettors on your site. And if you don't have the gaming license, players would think twice about depositing large amount of money. Maybe, the OP should tie up with private investors and find a really good developer for his website that knows this area, so he will not be wasting that $30k money to nothing.

Yes, i plan to add a mix of tournaments from dota, csgo, lol and the rest to make the options much more diverse.
Also, customers can also have the options to play and withdraw in other cryptos.

if you want to develop an esports betting sites then probably you need a big amount of money because developing Esport betting site is hard especially if you need the betting site is more secure becausethere is a difference between the developer of the website and the security management who secure the network so i suggest that you need a high amount of money in order to start that Esport betting website that you want.

Hello Community,

It's worth it, the industry is growing and more players are also becoming gamblers and they are betting not just with fiat, in game items and also becoming open with cryptocurrencies.

What are the things i would need to watch out for?
Tournaments/events, the basics of esports and also how you can sustain your own website.

How much would i need; Is $30k enough?
For the development itself, I guess this is enough but how about your starting fund/capital?

Aside from  having a good functioning website with a great UI, what else do you think the users would like?

I think that if you are really serious and capable of getting it done right it can be a successful project. I will only say this. My country has a very good sports package on cable TV offering almost anything you can think of from world class sport. In 2019 they introduced a separate Esports channel. I think that says enough in what direction Esports is going. Not only that but check out the awards and salaries these guys are earning. They are millionaires.

Good luck with you venture!
