It sucks that most of the odds in the Huya invitational is one sided and it's hard to take the handicaps based on their group stage performance but i'll just stick with [email protected], they'll be facing Vici Gaming in the upper bracket. Both teams looked good but I prefer IG because they have the experience while VG still needs more time with their new roster as we've seen so many teams struggle after forming a new roster.

I just notice that VG change 4 players in there roster. Only poyoyo left IIRC. IG is very solid team especially during TI. That 1.45 odds is a steal considering how good they play before and they are still playing with same roster. I don't know what happened to VG but Poyoyo can't play like his performance before even they are showing a good run on this DPC tournament since they are facing a strong opponent.

Yeah, that was "privately" done a couple of months ago. Among those 4 players who have left VG are Pyw and Dy whose game tactic I really admired. Pyw and Dy plus Eurus as well two former  players  of SAG have registered a new roster which was dubbed as Xtreme Gaming. In my view this is  roster of very experienced gamers and all they have to do now is polish their teamwork.

I think it would be fare to say  FPX is not an easy team for Top Esports  to defeat this time.
3-2 TES...didn't expect it to be that close, but you were right about FPX,, despite going through a major roster change and letting Doinb, Tian, nuguri and Crisp all go, the team still looked solid throughout the whole tourney

so, that's it then, other than the Huya Winter Invitational in Dota, there's nothing left to look forward to (at least for me) for the next two weeks or so in the esports space...it's gonna be rough  Cheesy
Oh man that TES vs FPX series was nuts!

I remember how they lost the first 2 games and even the 3rd game, FPX had a better late game draft and the game was swinging from one side to the other crazily. I think TES needs to either make Jackelove understand that he needs to play behind the tank and not leak out kills in over-aggression or they simply need to find a new player who is capable of Jackey's ability but has more restraint.

It will be interesting to see how LPL goes given the roster changes that happened this time around. I missed BLG's games but heard that Uzi is back which will be incredible because I loved his gameplay and the sheer mechanical ability he possessed.

The history has repeated, Top Esports has won the second year in row. Can not get why FPX has  loss against Top Esports at  Demacia Cup 2021, Grand Final. They have won both game 1 and game 2 but have managed to loss the last three games. So the final  score is 2:3 and Top Esports became a winner and increased its world rank by four points while the world rank of FPX has decreased. I'm very disappointed on that.

The upset wasn't that surprising, this kind of thing happening is just a normal thing and sometimes some teams are just choking or getting psyched up that they're a win away from winning that when they lose one game, it eventually snowballs into a comeback for the other team.

As for me it was highly anticipated matchup of this season . In my view   after first two wins FPX  assumed that victory was theirs,   they lost their temper and loosened their grip. Having  such opponent as  Team Top Esports challenging the victory in the final they should have had better game management to unfold all their potential and dominate up  to the end of game 5.

Yeah. It's an impression to me that since the addition of Sumail and iceiceice, they're looking not really that strong. Well, that's just for me and impression.
But I know, that this team is one of the strongest. No more games left to them for the DPC and I think that they're already in for the next round.
For me it's the opposite, I still think Team Secret is good but they're just having issues adapting to the current meta as most of the mid heroes are starting to become the new position 1s and the safe lane is starting to shift to that new position 2.

They still have 2 games left on the DPC it's just that Dreamhack hasn't posted any schedules at the moment. For Team Liquid they're definitely qualified but for Team Secret they'll need to win those last two games to contest the fourth slot.

To win Team Secret should adopt the new style centred around its carry but the safest bet (at least for me) would be  on Team Liquid provided they will win the last two games. They have shown good result at BLAST Premier Final this year and in my view  the only reason that has prevented them from the better result on that tournament  was the lack of teamwork. Probably the  issue of communication between leading Liquid players is still existing.

Nahh, Zai and Matu really know how Nisha and other old team secret roster plays. Nisha always being outplayed by Zai and eat alive by Matu during 1v1 or in team clash. The difference in Pos1 and Pos3 gives an advantage for Team Liquid on that fight. Iceiceice don't give that much pressure on all there games compared to Zai that giving hard time to Nisha while Matumbaman is very good on closing the game.

We know one of the best offlaner is Zai and imagine team secret release this man just for iceiceice and i didn't even know if there's a complexity with iceice because theres no too much impact or it's just different on its play style. Also unexpected that matu brings back to team liquid but not its member but its old team i guess liquid can conquer now still matu is one of the top tier carry in this time.

The more unexpected part for me is how the series started with FPX winning the first two then TES completing the reverse sweep.

I think their odds were at 3.00 to 4.00 when they're down 0-2, luckily I have some balance left and pulled the trigger on TES game 5.  Grin

so, that's it then, other than the Huya Winter Invitational in Dota, there's nothing left to look forward to (at least for me) for the next two weeks or so in the esports space...it's gonna be rough  Cheesy
There's also the Dota Champions League if you prefer some EU/CIS Dota action.  Cheesy

Yeah, that format is hard to predict but the group stage will end on December 27, so they still have two days to see who'll get eliminated. And, it's likely that it will be SMG and Neon that will be eliminated.
Then if that's already done, the playoffs is now in by the next day.
I wouldn't count anyone out at the moment since all it takes is one draw to force a tiebreaker on the fourth playoff spot.
Well, one more day to go and there's a change on who's going to be out and it's TNC. While Neon, they got to the 2nd place in group B in standings.
But their last match tomorrow will be against TNC and I think there's still a possible lot of changes if ever TNC gets the series and there could be another team that will be out.

Merry Christmas to all of you Esports fans🎅🎄 off season really is the most boring thing ever, but at least we can compensate that with the holidays and all of that, eh?

friendly reminder that tomorrow will be the last day of Demacia Cup 2021, grand final between FPX and Top Esports 🔥🔥 hopefully it won't be another boring3-0 for TES, they've been so good lately

I think it would be fare to say  FPX is not an easy team for Top Esports  to defeat this time. They managed to do it at  Demacia Cup in 2020 but should prepare themselves to meet the  strong and highly motivated team. Both my faith and passion as well the safest bet  is on the side of FunPlus Phoenix.

Tempted to bet on the Demacia Cup but already have my ticket on VCS as I got Cerberus @1.6 vs GAM Esports, eager to see Cerberus continue their dominance and take down GAM for the third time.

I didn't noticed that there's the Huya Invitational. Composing of SEA and China region teams.
Yup, there's Huya and DCL to pass some time, though it's a bit difficult to place predictions on the Huya tournament since the group stage format is best of 2s.

Continuing with VCS once more as there will be a third-place decider between Luxury Esports and Burst The Sky, i'll be backing Luxury Esports @1.49 not much on the line here but I still think Luxury should take this series. Their head-to-head this season is 1-1 but I wouldn't mind it that much since Burst The Sky barely made a dent against GAM while Luxury put up a decent fight against Cerberus.
